St. Patrick’s Day Table with Inspiration from an Irish Blessing

Ireland is a land that boasts 40 shades of green, so I dressed the table with a multi-hued cloth and with cabbage leaf plates in celebration for St. Patrick’s Day.

Green and white flowers form a parade down the table, filling a pitcher, teapots and mini cabbage leaf bowls. . .

An assortment of Alstroemeria, Mums, Daisies, Stock and some Bells of Ireland for good luck.

I found some Green Trick Dianthus at the grocery store, the texture reminiscent of  Irish moss. . .

Birds flew to the table to join the celebration with inspiration from an Irish Blessing. . .

“May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day. . .

May songbirds serenade you every step along the way.

May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that’s always blue. . .

And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.”

Help yourself to a sweet shamrock~ a Grace’s Irish Oatmeal Biscuit.

Lovely ! I have tried planting Bells of Ireland a couple of time with limited success. They are so unusual…loved them in your arrangement, and I appreciated the sweet blessing.

What a delight trip through all your shades of green, Mary! I love those little Green Trick Dianthus…so cute & fuzzy.
Your entire tablescape is just beautiful. I’m ashamed to say I only have 3 Irish things out this year. Just not in the mood. Today, Ern would have been 90 yrs. old & I always told him I was planning a big birthday bash for him this day. *sigh*
Sending “Happy St. Patrick’s Day” wishes to you & yours. Pat the poochies for me, please?

The spring greens and crisp whites of this post make me sigh. This table is all so fresh and screams SPRING to me. I’ve not planned a St. Pat’s table, but you make me want to pull out the green dishes and set a table. I also want to make those oatmeal shamrocks. Yum!
    Happy St. Pat’s Day!
