Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Here’s a little weekend waterview. Our Memorial Day weekend weather forecast has been a mix of sunny, cloudy, and stormy.
I hung a basket on the dock this morning filled with Queen Anne’s Lace that I picked from the field next to my Potting Shed.
They cut the field for hay around Memorial Day every year, so I’m flying some flags and waving goodbye to Lacy Queen Anne until next year. ;)
Queen’s Anne’s Lace reminds me of fireworks that we’ve heard going off in celebration of Memorial Day since Friday night on the water. The real fireworks started about 2 am this morning with some serious thunder, lightening, and wind that resulted in downed trees and power lines, but fortunately no damage for us.
If you’re looking for some inspiration and patriotic noshing, you can find
Pontoon Picnic and Watermelon, Blueberry and Feta Flag and BBQ Sundae
However you celebrate this Memorial Day, take some time to recognize, reflect, and remember how fortunate we are to live in freedom.
Thank you to our military men and women who paid the ultimate price to protect and serve us.
Happy Memorial Day. . .
