DSC_9470.1

Welcome to the annual meeting of The Black Hat Society, all good witches are welcome!

My cauldron has been bubbling with fun in anticipation and as part of a Halloween Tablescape Blog Hop this week! You can find more spooktacular table inspiration from 15 other bloggers at the end of the post.

Park your broom at the door, and have a seat at the table. . .

Pick your poison and favorite mug for your brew. . .

Beware of the candy corn, it’s available in lethal quantities this time of year!

Spidery webs provide a cloth and goblets for our table. . .

Candy treats await to satisfy your sweet tooth. . .

Dish towels with cheery pumpkins make affordable napkins for the table and are convenient for cleaning up those annoying cauldron spills while potion making. . .

To create a festive Halloween centerpiece, a pair of black feather boas run down the length of the table. Chevron-striped and starry night pumpkins are sprinkled down the length of the table, some elevated on polka-dotted cupcake stands, along with mercury glass votives, providing a little spooky ambiance. . .

A tribute to haunted forests, bare twig trees wrapped in burlap, were scared up from the Dollar Spot at Target, along with festive metal Halloween treat pails.

This witch doesn’t like things too scary, so cheery polka dots help keep the “Happy” in Halloween, planted with trees down the length of the table, topped with black paper shred.

Orange and black tinsel-woven placemats are more festive than frightening. . .

Wiccan Lace plates with the quintessential black cats, bats, haunted houses and spider webs, were found at HomeGoods last year, a short broom ride away.

Help yourself to candy twists pops, orange rock candy swizzle sticks, a witch hat lolly, chocolate foil wrapped Jacks, Pixy Stix, mellocreme pumpkins and candy corn. . . fuel for your midnight ride!

And all good witches need festive straws to sip their brew!

Mix up a ‘Drink Up Witches’ Cocktail for Halloween, here.

“When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers,‘tis near Halloween.”

Mary, you have delighted all of my senses once again with your amazing Halloween table. I can almost smell the crisp autumn air as I enjoy your post. Your vintage candy treats always take me back to when I was little; running up and down the streets at night trick or treating with one of those horrible plastic masks – but that didn’t stop us from missing any houses! I love your twig tree centerpieces, they bring the perfect amount of spookiness to the table! Love it all!

Oh, Mary, what a delightful web your table weaves, with painted pumpkins, spooky trees in cheery polka dotted buckets, shimmering votives, and lip smacking candy. I am beguiled by the mugs–“You’ve been poisoned!” I am getting some for an Imp I know . I love the layers here–the literal ones, with the linens, placemats, centerpiece, candy and trees, along with the layered moods, the perfect dose of humor and whimsy. It’s a joy and an honor to party with you this week. I🕷💀🕸☠️🍷🍽 I

This Halloween tablescape captures all the elements of Halloween, a little bit scary and a little fun mixed with some terrific decorative touches that provide the perfect backdrop for the spooky occasion. On top of all that, you’ve provided sweet candy in an awesome display. Loads of fun as always! I don’t know how you keep coming up with new, creative tablescapes, but you do. All the details are fun and festive. I’m not a fan of the “scary” things for Halloween. Give me the fun and whimsical. I lucked on to some of the plates this season. Now I need to set a table and have a Halloween dinner party. Congratulations to all the lucky winners. Beautiful and creative as usual Mary. You are an inspiration and I don’t know how you get it all together and your tablescapes look sooo amazing and well thought out. Your organizational skills have to be beyond measure, (she says as she looks at her room of “stash” which are in need of organizing). I could use about 6 more hands. :)

  31. October 3, 2017 at 8:05 pm

As always, a table of perfection! You never cease to amaze! I am definitely a member of this society! Thanks for sharing such fun and creative ideas. My littles would just swoon at the plethora of sugar on this spooky table. I guess I would too! That’s why we witches have rotted teeth!

“You’ve Been Poisoned”!! Love it! Who wouldn’t want to be invited to your gorgeous Halloween table! I really like the use of the black boa. And, those tiny little pumpkins. Impressive indeed!

  36. October 5, 2017 at 12:28 pm

Oh Mary! What another winner of a tablescape you have styled! As usual, I don’t know where to begin with your amazing tablescape. I see how you used those same little Target trees…I am thinking about picking up more of them to store away for next year! The “you’ve been poisoned” mugs would be so fun to fill with a hearty soup and surprise guests as they reached the bottom! I love themed tables, and this one is fantastic! Thank you again, so very much, for being a part of another tablescape blog hop!

  37. October 5, 2017 at 8:38 pm
