While garden flowers are waning by the end of July in the extreme summer heat, tabletop gardening provides a flower fix, no watering required!
I planted some Garden Bouquets for some
blooming tabletop fun and flower therapy . . .

A ‘Fresh Flower Market, Seeds, Stems, and Blooms’ sign was freshly picked from a favorite antique mall and provided a little tabletop inspiration in the window ledge of the Potting Shed, propped on terra cotta pots.
My Floral Friday Dish Garden is blooming with an assortment of potted plants, ideal for indoor container gardening. . .
Fern, mini roses, ivy and kalanchoe and providing birds a place to nest.
Johnson Brothers ‘Sheraton’ is another blooming favorite in my garden of dishes.
Endless Summer Hydrangeas have faded to softer muted greens and are joining Charmelia from the grocery store for some Ball jar bouquets. . .
As well as in a creamer and watering can.
Johnson Brothers ‘Staffordshire Bouquet’ with its brown-tinted multicolored blooms is a perennial favorite and beloved pattern. . .
. . . providing a transition and a hint of fall to come, my favorite season!
And a garden glove is filled with a napkin and blooming with vintage flatware for a little tabletop gardening fun.

How refreshing!!! We too have florals wanning due to the heat but the tomatoes, peppers, Zucchini, corn are flourishing..my tomato plants look like trees this year and my romas are huge … we froze 20 1lb bags of corn last week plus gave away 7 dozen ears and more to come….and have baked 10 loaves of Zucchini bread…therefore, my flowers will probably suffer for awhile with all the veggies to be tended…your post is a welcome site…very pretty! I have always loved Johnson Brothers China..one of my favs is The Friendly Village..I should have bought it years ago when it was not so pricey..keep the pretties coming!!

Beautiful flower table scape in your “Potting Shed”! Love the Johnson Bros, dishes. I have the Windsorware pattern in my shed. I saw pillows today at ROSS store that would almost match the pattern. I think I’ll go back tomorrow and purchase. Love my flowers anyway they are displayed! Always enjoy your shed and garden, Mary!
Mary, love seeing all your beautiful blooms inside your shed! I have a set of salt and pepper shakers in the Staffordshire Bouquet pattern if you would like to have them. I don’t have anything else to match and ran across them several years ago. We were dry as a bone until we started getting rain a few days ago. Hope you are getting some, too!

Always a joy to look at your posts. Vernon Kilns of California, made a pattern similar with a rope edge during the 1940’s, also. I think everyone made a version of these…you have a great selection.
Thanks for the inspiration. I like the terra cotta pots upended and the nosegay in the frog. I have a small collection of metal frogs that were my mother’s. Very pretty table.
What’s not to love with this pretty display, Mary? The dreamy dishes, your dish garden, the napkins in gardening gloves, and your pretty sign, beautify my favorite potting shed.
What a beautiful way to spend your day. The shed garden and plates and just all of it feel so relaxing to me. Would you mind terribly showing me what those placemats look like? I love how the edges look. I don’t think I’ve seen these before. I may have to stop in at some of the places you’ve listed and see what they have. I don’t particularly want a shed but more of an area where I can have a private arbor or small gazebo garden. I’ve acquired many shutters and old windows that I am considering to build a small outdoor sort of greenhouse/gazebo out of. Your shed and garden and the love you’ve shown has me inspired to get moving on my own. Just beautiful!
