I’m chalking up a little garden inspiration and words of wisdom on my Potting Shed door. . .
Note to self:
“The flower doesn’t dream of the bee. It blossoms and the bee comes.”
~ Mark Nepo
Bees are buzzing around the Passion Flower Vine. . .
The Allium. . .
They’re buzzing around the Limelight Hydrangeas. . .
On the Cleome. . .
On and under the Coneflower. . .
{Thank you Vicky for telling me to check under the Coneflower for sleeping beezzzzz 🌸🐝}
And the Chaste Tree.
I’m joining my blogging friends for another edition of Floral Friday tomorrow.
I hope you’ll come back see their wonderful floral inspiration. I’ll leave you with a hint to our theme for this week’s edition. . .

Oh goodness Mary, things are blossoming and growing all over your potting shed! Beautiful photos and bee love ❤️ Who knew bees slept! Such a joyful celebration of Mother Nature proudly at work!

Beeutiful Mary!! I love your chalkboard art and how you captured all the bees on the flowers. Your potting shed is buzzing with beauty! 🐝🌸🐝🌺🌼
Mary, You’re always a busy bee in the garden…what beauty! Your flowers are thriving. Thanks for the beautiful start to my day!
Oh how lovely! Your garden shed is surrounded by such lovely floral beauty! The bees are so happy. 💛🐝
After savoring your beautiful flower and bee pictures this morning, it’s time to take my cup of coffee and walk out to my garden. Bees are always welcome…not those japanese beetles munching on my zinnias 😉 August although hot…is a month full of color and rewarding all of us gardeners with our hard work earlier in the Spring. Thank you for the beautiful world of gardens and nature.
Oh Mary! I love this soooooo much!!! Thank you for sharing this!!! My mom and I just launched a new online TV yesterday and one of the projects that I shared was a DIY Bee skep!!! Now I just need to make a sign like yours to put in my little she shed that’s coming along!!!

Jennifer

Love the sleeping bees! I’ll have to look for them. Don’t you just love knowing your garden space is a sanctuary? Yours is such a special place, Mary.
Mary, what a wonderful respite from a dark and rainy morning. Your garden is such a happy place. Bees have been buzzing all around my garden and I love watching them. Your chalkboard art is amazing! Have a wonderful Thursday!❤️
Mary, I’m so glad you posted the picture of a sleeping 🐝! I know some folks thought I must be crazy when I suggested looking under the coneflowers for sleeping bees. I just returned from hiking in the Rockies and as I went up each trail I checked for sleeping bees and was occasionally rewarded. We call that “trail magic”. Isn’t Mother Nature just full of trail magic?!
We’ve got to save the bees! Thanks for sharing your beautiful shed and pics!
Your potting shed is absolutely glorious in the summer!
Love the garden & potting shed! Bees are such an important part of pollinating flowers as well as fruits & veggies! Thank you for the lovely photos showing one of God’s littlest creation busy at work.
Your potting shed is in all it’s glory, Mary! You certainly have the gardening gene, and the bees are happy with all their blossoms.
THANK YOU for promoting awareness of these pollinators! Here in Virginia we have serious declines and every positive promotion of bees is so helpful.
Happy Summer!
Our honeybees and other pollinators are so important to our well being. Great to see them highlighted in your beautiful photos. I hope your readers are inspired to plant for them and stop use of harmful chemicals in their gardens. Every little bit helps.
Going to try and copy your chalkboard but I am artistically challenged . Maybe I can use stencils!
This rain here in N.C. we prayed for has worn out its welcome and I am looking for a little sunshine. Time to weed the jungle🌻🌺🌼
Lovely, you are certainly doing your part to help our pollinators!
Thanks for your wonderful blog. It inspires me and lifts me when I see you in my email. Nice to know how much in common we all have. The bees are wonderful little creatures and didn’t know they were sleeping under my cone flowers!🐝
So beautiful. I hope to get in a lot more flowers for attracting bees next year.
Sweet, a honey of a post! Now, I’ll have to look under my Coneflowers, too. Maybe I’ll find a bee sleeping! 🐝🌻🌸🦋♥️
Bees at my house even flock to the hummingbird feeder and then chase away the birds!!!
So lovely, Mary. You do your share of planting things the bees enjoy. Great photos and cute chalk board. I like that quote.
Look forward to Floral Friday tomorrow.
Just beautiful! I’m in awe of the beautiful blooms that surround your potting shed. Of course the bees love your garden!
It bee time for bees!!! Got lots too!! Everything looks great…thanks for sharing!
We love bees here in sunny hot California where they pollinate our oranges and so much more. Thank as always for your so well thought out posts. Do you by chance have a source for those beautiful leather and floral gardening gloves?

Love love seeing how much your garden has grown! From a giant crane to a lush setting its fabulous following along. Back to net problems and zero loading, sometimes I can scoot in and see full in bliss 😬
Mary, your garden is always pure joy. Each time I visit, I notice something I didn’t see before. Happy Tuesday❤️
I just love your pictures! Your garden and shed are wonderful.
Love, love, love the quote!…the photos of the bees are amazing Mary along with the garden as always. I am so hoping I can get my garden shed in at the new house…having a bit of issue with the ARB…as always! Have a great day Mary!
