Fabulous Halloween inspiration!!!! OHHH, I love each picture, such glamour and style! I love popcorn balls with candy corns.
I can’t imagine getting this post organized while watching for Florence to arrive.Last year I spent Hurricane Irma with my elderly parents in Florida. The storm is frightening, but the days of recovery can be awful with no power and clean up. Take care and stay safe.

  18. September 17, 2018 at 7:23 am

What a fab. display. I think we’re missing out a lot in the UK. We don’t hold hallowe’en in the same way, almost no decorations, at least in our area.

Been thinking about you. A friend in Lake Lure lost her power, haven’t heard from my friend in Mooresville yet. Of course I pinned the tablescape! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/8585055524674426/

    • Rita C.
      September 17, 2018 at 8:52 am

ps, my friend in Mooresville said 6″, didn’t lose power, but a next door neighbor had a tree fall – luckily, into the lake, but I wonder who gets that out? When a tree falls in the river the Army Corps of Engrs is called upon. My trees, on the other hand, fell onto the riverbank, which required us to hire private contractor. :(

      • September 18, 2018 at 7:31 am

Hi Rita, Your comment was timely as we had a huge tree fall into the lake yesterday evening with the high winds from Florence. It’s right beyond the edge of our property behind us and next to the field by my shed, so it came down from Farmer Brown’s property. I had to look up who’s responsible and found: “Trees that fall into the lake and do not block or unnecessarily restrict navigational access should be left in place to benefit fish and/or wildlife.” It fell at the back of the cove but in the direct line of sight of a home behind us. WE wouldn’t want to look at it if we were them but it will be $$$ to deal with and at least get the upper part out of the water.

My young niece was selling mums, as a fundraiser for her elementary school. I purchased two and I plan on displaying them like the one you posted on your blog (mum in a cauldron with a black crow on top and a broomstick alongside of it). I shared it on Pinterest to her mother for an additional entry to your giveaway.

My favorite treat is me and my BFF always exchange beautiful gift packages for each other on Halloween. It’s one of those things that you start shopping for as soon as you see all of the Halloween stuff in the stores, and as you’re stopping something stops you and you say yourself, “Oh, she’d love that!” It doesn’t have to be expensive; it can even be paper napkins from the $1 store– you know it when you see it. Over the years I’ve expanded this tradition a little bit to include her daughter who I’ve nicknamed Pumpkin.

Oh my, there are so many that I like, but one nostalgic favorite is peanut butter salt water taffy in orange or black wrappers. One year, I cut a scraggly tree branch, potted it and put the pot in a brown paper bag, tied with orange and black ribbon. Then I tied these taffy’s to the tree branch. It was cute and sweet!

My favorite Halloween treat is good ol fashioned Halloween candy that you get when trick or treating. Some of my best memories is the anticipation of trick or treating and my dad dropping my brothers and sister and I off in a large neighborhood armed with pillow cases to hold all that candy. We would go for hours and when it was getting late and porch lights were turning off those pillow cases would be bulging. But the best part was coming home and dumping all that candy onto the floor and going through it…..the sorting, the trading, picking your favorites and eating your way through it…..the best memories make the best eating!

Hi Mary, you have the best party and decorating ideas! My favorite Halloween treat actually starts in September and goes through November; a mix of candy corn and cocktail peanuts with the taste of a Payday candy bar. Looks as if you had that combination in your popcorn mix, very yummy looking. Where did you buy the pumpkin pretzels? They add a great element to your mix. Hope you are safe.

What a bright light to start my day, something to look forward to dying trying times here at the coast. Thanks so much for bringing something fun to the table. Hopefully trucks filled with Halloween cheer can make it to us so that we can brew up special goodies and treats for the neighborhood kids that normally celebrate like demons every year. It is a rough time for folks around here…unbelievable lines around the stores to check out basic items so far if there is nothing left.

Have a great witching moment and bring on the goodies! Stay safe

Mindboggling, overwhelming, fun! And mostly INSPIRING! Thank you. The candy we treat our trickers with is Heath Bar. Our main focus is the preservation of the candy ~ because one of our family’s favorite cookies calls for little chunks. For a long time, we grabbed bags of Heath Bar candy as soon as the Halloween candies hit the shelves as they were not easy to find. We have shared the recipe with parents who come to the door and the good news is the minis are becoming easier to find. Woohoooooo!

My favorite Halloween candy is HOMEMADE POPCORN BALLS!! A lady in our neighborhood would make for Halloween and hers was the first house on my list!! Sadly, I have never learned to make them..wish I could! WAY back when, we didn’t have store bought candy. Therefore, our treats were popcorn balls, homemade candy, fruit!! My favorite Halloween centerpiece of yours is the hanging umbrella with the witches legs!! That’s the best thing I have ever seen for decorating on Halloween…

Love all the fantastic witchy ideas! My favorite Halloween treat are old fashion pop corn balls. I went trick or treating when many people we knew gave out homemade goodies. I would only eat them from friends we knew. The worst was getting apples. They were so heavy to carry in your Halloween bag. Also, loved getting Bazooka bubble gum. My parents ate my chocolate candy because I did not like it. Now I like a Snicker bar.

Thanks for this special post . Having had a Halloween birthday for 75 years, your ideas are the most colorful and special I’ve ever seen. My favorite candy is the candy corn, it doesn’t seem like Halloween without that orange and white stuff. Fortunately I can’t eat much, so calories saved !

I posted the picture of the table with the flowers and the candy corn in what could have been the votive holders. I’m heading down to my “storeroom” because I think I have something similar . Time to bring it up !

This was fabulous to remember all these great tables. How did you make the design stick to the clear plates in the witch’s potion? I doubt I can find that product at Michaels since that was several years ago. Thanks for your help. Planning a luncheon for 8 in a few weeks

Hi Sandi, I didn’t use anything. The decal is just sandwiched between the clear and white plates for a little spooky fun 🍽👻🎃

Thanks so much!! Can you remove the decal and reuse it again another time.? My white plates have a raised border so hoping it will work. I don’t have room to store any more plates!!!!

Hi Mary, I need some help on the glass plates with the decals on the witch’s potion table please. I found some decals at Michaels this year and would like to make the plates. Are the labels food safe or just for decoration? And can they be washed? Did you use dinner or salad plates? Thanks so much

Hi Sandi Lee, I just sandwiched the labels between the clear glass salad plate and white dinner plate, they weren’t attached permanently. For a permanent fix you could use Mod Podge them to the back of the glass plates. You would want to hand wash them.
