Weekend Waterview: Pontoon Rides for Lola

Happy Sunday! Here’s a little weekend water and dogs’ eye view from Lake Norman.

Lola is getting her sea legs and looking forward to pontoon rides.

She’s learned from Gracie that crushed ice is a pontoon ritual and treat.

She’s 4 months old with a lot of fur that she says is hot in our unseasonably warm fall weather.

Her favorite spot inside is laying on the A/C register on the kitchen floor to cool off. . .

move over Lola, I need to cool off too!

We took her for her first boat ride the weekend we brought her home.

The photo above was taken August 24th, the one below a month a half later.

She looks like she might be growing up to be more than an armful!

She’s loves a snuggle and ride in the Captain’s chair.

And Gracie’s happy that Lola’s occupied and not pouncing on her so she can nap in peace.

There is no fall color to speak of yet unless you count sunsets. . .

Mother Nature has yet to get the ‘fall memo’ with the humidity off the charts and temps in the mid to upper 80s.

Hope you’re enjoying some cooler temps and beauti-fall weather where you are. ♥

Thank you for your visit!

So happy for you that you found Lola!!! I know how hard it is to lose a pup. We have lost 3 of our pack of 4. Glad Gracie gets a little rest every once in a while:) xoxo

More beauty for the eyes to enjoy here…thanks, Mary…and Lola…she is beautiful…those eyes could not be any darker or lovelier. She has found just the right home, and a sister to boot. I always enjoy pictures of the lake and boating excursions from you. Cooler weather is on its way here next weekend…yea!

So excited for you! We had a bichon named Pup-corn for 14 years and loved her antics. We got an elderly rescue 3.5 years ago and he is now in heart failure. It’s not easy when you love them so much.
I would love to have you recommend a breeder if possible. We live in Newburyport, MA but would be willing to travel!

Hi there and happy Sunday! I love Lola, she is simply adorable and reminds me of Hunter when he was little. I have a question for you Mary-over the last 6 months Hunter had developed red tear staining, which he never had before. I’ve got him of a diet of mostly raw foods, but wondered what you feed Gracie to keep her eyes so clear. Our vet says its hereditary, but he only developed at 6 y.o. so I’m thinking allergies. Why it is painful, it is unsightly.
    Thanks, have a great day!

Lola is SO cute, and cuddly! I love these weekend waterviews and especially the darling dogs. Lola and Gracie are very lucky to be yours. It is in the 70’s here in Pa. today but they say we will be back in the 80’s this week. I don’t envy you your high humidity and temps in Oct.

It looks like Lola is loving your family life and cruising on Lake Norman! I know your heart fills fuller now with 2 puff balls to love and snuggle. Looks like we both will be doing more hurricane dodging this week…I was planning to stay at the beach for another week to enjoy the October weather but mean ole Mother Nature might send me back to the city. I certainly hope all those suffering in the Carolinas won’t be affected again, and maybe we all will get some cooler weather! Lola is adorable 🐾 🐾

Lola is so cute. She is a lucky pup to have such a loving home. Gorgeous sunset.
The tropical storm is headed straight to us in south Alabama. Hope it doesn’t become stronger.
Hope you won’t be affected or the people that already have suffered so.

Definitely not enjoying the cold temps here in Colorado. Going to church this morning saw six beautifyl red maples in a row that will lose their leaves this week in the expected snow. And all the trees will be in danger of losing limbs if the snow is heavy. It has been a very short and cool summer for us. Two hail storms stripped everything. This afternoon we are bringing inside the potted plants we want to save. Not a happy camper as I’m a a Carolina girl and miss your seasons. Don’t miss the fire ants you have and praying they won’t like our cold weather either. Would LOVE to be on your lake enjoying an Indian Summer. I wish❤️

What a Daddy’s girl! Has him wrapped right around that sweet little white puppy paw! I know she has stolen your heart too. Glad Gracie gets a break from all Miss Lola’s antics. Thanks for the lovely water pics too. Always enjoy those, the pretty sunsets and of course Old Glory! Great post. ♥️🐾

Love seeing your fur babies. Mine loves a boat ride too. Still hot here in middle Georgia too. Looks like we might be getting some heavy rain and wind later this week from the approaching gulf storm.
I am ready for cooler weather and fall color.

Lola seems to be very comfortable riding in the pontoon!…She also seems to love to be the “co-captain” too…what a difference from one photo to the other..she is growing quickly!….Cannot believe we will be getting more stormy weather with Hurricane Michael…I guess it will just be a bit of a wind and rain event here…thanks for the beautiful “weekend views”
