Mary,
Our favorite traditions come alive at the table during during the holidays. The table belonged to my grandmother who died from TB during the flu epidemic in 1918. That big table, where the family ate, was passed down to my mother and now I have it. On the same farm, my brother raises our turkey along with almost every other food that we share with our families and friends on Thanksgiving Day. I even make the pumpkin pies using Mom’s recipe.
Yours is my favorite blog!
Mary, Your Thanksgiving recipes are making me salivate this morning! I’m a follower. My favorite Thanksgiving side is sweet potato casserole but with a pecan streusel topping, no marshmallows for us! Thanks for the giveaway and chance to win!
Yum Mary, now I want pie for breakfast! I have to try your pecan piecrust trick for our pumpkin pie this year. Our favorite Thanksgiving sides are the mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing and my grandmother’s yeast rolls. Thanks for the giveaway!
My favorite traditional foods for Thanksgiving have to be the pies! Pumpkin pie with a little rum for a flavor kick and Pecan. Sharing time with family who we are thankful for is a joy every year. Love all of your photos and recipes.
My favorite part of our Thanksgiving meal is my Mother’s recipe for dressing and her gravy. My son makes it for us now. Always love you blog and beautiful photos.
Mary your recipes are creating a major excitement for Thanksgiving! My dining room is already decorated and the table is set with Thanksgiving centerpiece and China. Our favorite sides are my stuffing and corn pudding as well as butternut casserole. I want to make the Plymouth mix for the grands to munch on. I want to try your luscious sounding pie crust and some other delights. God Bless and let us all be thankful!
My favorite Thangsgiving food is the great turkey ,stuffing, cranberry sauce sandwiches we have Thanksgiving night after all the work is done and I can sit down on the couch and watch Miracle on 34th St with the family. Love all your ideas for new additions to our Thangsgiving feast and plan on trying many this year. Your blog is so beautiful no matter what the season. Happy Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and this year I am having it at our home. In anticipation I have looked at all your past postings for inspiration. I love your table settings, flowers (centerpieces) and recipes. My favorite dish is traditional bread dressing, sometimes I get creative; but have to start with the basics. I use all my Evesham serving pieces because of their harvest theme, I have had them for years. They lend themselves to the colors of fall. Thank you, your beautiful centerpieces with fruits and vegetables are the inspiration for my Thanksgiving table this year.
Everything looks delicious! Last year I made your mini pumpkin pies (pinned as well). They were a huge success. The perfect size so everyone could sample other goodies. We have many family traditions, number one is making my mom’s nut bread to have for breakfast Thanksgiving morning while watching the Macy’s Parade and from my husband’s side we have to have the pomegranate mix (pomegranate, raisins and walnuts). This year I think I’m going to make your pecan leaves (also pinning). Thank you for such wonderful recipes to make the Holiday even better.
Thank You for another awesome give-a-way! My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my mother-in-laws’s Southern Cornbread Dressing & Gravy! She also made a delicious Caramel Cake and Coconut Frosted Red Velvet Cake. She was an amazing cook! Your recipe’s look delicious and I will try them for sure!
Yum! I think all my favorite food groups are represented— potatoes, pie and cake. 😀 Thanks for the giveaway and chance to win Mary. I’m a happy follower. Our favorite Thanksgiving side is the cornbread dressing! 🦃 🍁🍂🌾
My family thinks I make the best stuffing and Giblet gravy and that’s all they want to eat! Unfortunately, its the turkey “innerds” that makes the gravy so the Turkey is a must! CaN’T wait to try new recipes!
Thanks Mary, for posting these recipes today. With Halloween behind us, it’s wonderful to know the next two months will be spent celebrating and exuding gratitude with family and friends. Your butternut apple and pumpkin shooters look divine, as does the sangria. Gives me an excuse to start experimenting in the kitchen. Thanks for giving us new ways to celebrate each week. Happy Fall!
Happy November Mary! I will have a pecan pie muffin with my coffee this morning. Thanks for the delicious looking round-up. I am planning my Thanksgiving meal to get a head start! Happy Thursday!
My favorite memory is making Gingerbread Houses with my Grandchildren every Thanksgiving. I am sure they will also cherish this memory and carry on the tradition.
Ours is always the traditional turkey and dressing. They’ll be plenty of sides but dressing comes first. All of your recipes look wonderful. Thanks for this opportunity. Happy early thanksgiving!🦃
Whetting with my son daughter – in – law and my two wonderful grandchildren and eat all the good food. Favorite would be the sweet potatoes with brown sugar and nuts.
Great post on all the delicious foods! You always inspire us with your creativity. Happy November! Thanksgiving season is now and since I spend it at my daughter’s home, I will be sure to bring one of your desserts! Thank you for the giveaway!
I am always amazed at the gorgeous pictures and recipes that you post. My favorite food at Thanksgiving has always been moms southern style cornbread dressing. Its a meal within itself. Thank you for the giveaway. Such beautiful items.
All your recipes look wonderfully delicious. My favorite Thanksgiving dishes are the sweet potato casserole with pecans on top and pumpkin pie with some rum added. Thank you for sharing your recipes.
And just like that, it’s Thanksgiving! Such a gorgeous round-up of wonderful food! Thanksgiving is all about the sides for me, stuffing, green bean casserole, creamed onions, corn souffle…😋 What a great giveaway Mary, but I won’t enter this time as I was such a lucky winner last month! Time to put the witches and cauldrons away and pull out the turkeys!
Jenna
What wonderful recipes you posted, I cannot wait to make so many of them! My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is having tons of family and friends over my house and cooking for them. I love to bake this time of year (and I’m definitely making a ton of your recipes from today!) and I have family and friends over all Thanksgiving weekend enjoying being together, eating, and we all have so much fun. It is the highlight of my holiday traditions! And the best part I repeat it all Christmas week! I LOVE this time of the year!
My favorite dish is my aunt’s stuffing. I pinned the pumpkin bread pudding as well as quite a few others :). I subscribed to your blog and follow it regularly. Really enjoy it! Thanks!
Love your suggestions. I am planning on trying several. My favorite thing at Thanksgiving is preparing a meal for my family to enjoy. To see the faces and hear how good everything tastes, well too me these is no greater satisfaction.🦃
I pinned the Cranberry – Apple – Pumpkin Bundt Cake. I cannot wait to try it out as a trial run on my immediate family before serving at our larger family gathering. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving is in the morning gathering around our kitchen table in our jammies, watching the Macy’s parade, reading all the ads from the newspaper and eating French Toast!
My favorite memory as a child was singing “Over the river and through the woods” as my parents drove to our grandmothers house for Thanksgiving. Awaiting me there were many cousins and my name sake that all of her children and grands adored. As an adult cooking my first turkey and dressing for my parents. I didn’t sleep a wink worrying if I would have it ready when they arrived and making sure it was cooked through. Fifty years later I remember the feeling I had when placing that first turkey on the table. So proud to have pulled it off and to have my parents there.
A favorite recipe that is always on our Thanksgiving table is actually a Weight Watchers recipe…it’s spice-roasted butternut squash and onions. Everyone always loves it!
My favorite Thanksgiving dish would have to be the dressing/stuffing even though I never use it to stuff the turkey we have always just called it stuffing. I am very picky about the stuffing no stove top for me even though my grown children love it. Not on Thanksgiving and of course pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Well heck I just can’t seem to pick a favorite I love everything about Thanksgiving. The food, family all together, grand children so happy and loving all the family being together not much of that going on today it seems like with social media and busy lives. And its the season I do a lot of decorating the house. Love your site and being for NC also makes it just a little more at home for me. I have pinned many of your ideas and recipes.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, cooking and baking and enjoying the return of family
I love putting the turkey on and watching the Macy’s day parade with the now grown
Children. My mother’s fruit salad is the dish I most associate with her, served in the beautiful Lenox Eternal fluted bowl.
Thank you Mary for sharing your beautiful traditions and photos. I pinned the Sangria!😍
Mary can I come to your house for Thanksgiving because I know everything will be outstanding! My favorite tradition is getting together with extended family and just being together and catch up on what everything. Sharing food.
My favorite food has to be cornbread dressing. I should probably start calling it “stuffing” cause after eating waaaaay tooooo much of it I’m the one feeling like a stuffed turkey. Ha!
I am a thankful subscriber to your blog and this year I’ve got to try your mini pumpkin pies. They sure are sweet looking! And thank you for the nice giveaway! Earlier this year I bought eight place settings of stainless steel turkey flatware for my table. Can’t wait to use it. Gobble Gobble!
As I have stated before…who needs a cookbook when we have you!!….always love your recipes….My answer will probably have a response as “really??” I love turkey, the pumpkin pie, the mashed potatoes drowning with turkey gravy…but if you ask me what is my favorite?…..stuffing!!! …. my mom’s stuffing is the best! I think I gained five pounds just reading the fabulous Thanksgiving recipes – so many new ideas to try! I pinned the recipe for pie crust leaves as I know my young nieces would love these. Mashed potatoes smothered in gravy – my favorite since I was a child – not good for your health, but such a comfort food for me. Thank you for always providing the most wonderful posts! My favorites are cornbread dressing and homemade cranberry sauce. I’m trying some new sides and desserts this year. It’s just my husband and myself so it will be low stress, low key but very thankful. I am a subscriber and follow you on facebook. I pinned the Royal Stafford Thanksgiving turkey. It is so lovely and colorful.
Mary, this post makes my mouth water and it’s only 9:30 in the morning!! My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, then gathering family around the table, giving thanks for all God’s blessings and enjoying all the food. My favorites are the stuffing and the pumpkin pie.
Mary , this is so beautiful and yes please put my name in the hat to possibly win one of those gorgeous sets. Thank you so very much!! I posted on Pinterest. I am sharing on FB and IG!!!💝💝🙏🙏
I forgot to add that my favorite Thanksgiving tradition has always been watching the lighting of the tree in Atlanta, even though it’s not downtown at Rich’s any longer I still watch it at the new location. So many wonderful memories each year . Bless you!!🙏❤️🦃
It is so hard to pick a favorite as I love all Thanksgiving dishes! I would have to say cranberry sauce as my Mom always makes/serves it 3 ways – fresh, cooked and in the can (for my brothers ;-)
As the only female born in my family’s baby boomer generation, I inherited dishes, cutlery, unique serving and decorative dishes from multiple relatives when they passed.
To honor their memory at Thanksgiving, I pull out at least 1 item per relative and display it either on our holiday or buffet table. The items aren’t placed “front and center” so I wait until a relative notices the item and exclaims “Wow, those were my Mother’s favorite candle holders” or “Is that my Grandmother’s serving dish?” Once the relative discovers the piece, I am regaled with stories about their mother, grandmother or cousin and I get to hear their special memories. These are the very best moments of Thanksgiving.
I love Thanksgiving as it is the calm before the Christmas Storm….and has so much meaning…as we stop and reflect on all the blessings we have been given and the things in this life that we are truly Thankful for. My favorite recipe is a sweet potato casserole like non-other that can be used for a pie or for a side dish. It is whipped and creamy. My favorite tradition is….I have my grandchildren over the Week of Thanksgiving….and they tell me why they are thankful for each family member…some are sweet and some are hilarious. I then type up the notes and cute them apart….I then fold them and place them in the croissant rolls before rolling them up (kind of like a fortune cookie)…Before we eat each person takes a roll and pulls it apart and we read aloud each note that is written in the rolls. The kids as well as the adults love it!!! We laugh…we cry….The kids even ask aren’t we going to do this for Christmas…and I say no…this is something special we save for Thanksgiving. Thank you again for your blog! It is my fun and my inspiration packed with ideas galore.
Thank you for the great recipes and wonderful photos. I think I will be trying a couple of your recipes, one being the potato gratin with rosemary crust it looks so yummy. My favorite Thanksgiving dish is the stuffing. Second choice would be green bean casserole.
What a great post to transition from Halloween to Thanksgiving. As for favorite Thanksgiving food, it has to be the dressing (that’s stuffing for Northerners lol!)
I love Thanksgiving and your recipes always give me a boost. I love any kind of turkey and I’m already drooling. I’ll be using the Pumpkin French Toast this weekend at a brunch baby shower. Looks delish!
I pinned the Pumpkin French Toast. I hope that someday soon you will put all of your wonderful recipes together in the Potting Shed Cookbook!!!!! I’ll be first in line to purchase.
I just discovered you sometime last year, and became a fan-for-life when you did your Thanksgiving recipe post then. This one just totally refreshes my fannishness. This is a beautiful collection of recipes, displayed in such a warm, welcoming way. Thank you!’
I make a triple batch of homemade cranberry sauce and my boys enjoy a big cereal bowl of it for breakfast the morning after Thanksgiving! #it’sonlyonceayear
These recipes look great!
My husband has to have Copper Penny Carrots every Thanksgiving. We got the recipe from a pot luck dinner at church in 1975 and EVERY single Thanksgiving since then we have enjoyed it and think of friends from that church we live very far away from now. It tastes good and brings up nice memories which is an especially nice theme now that we are so much older.
Favorite tradition for Thanksgiving is sharing food and fun with family and friends. Love when asked to help first time Turkey “toasters” for cooking and baking lessons. Thrills my heart. So blessed. 💕 Following your site for wonderful inspiring foods and ideas!
My favorite tradition is to send out Thanksgiving cards to all my family and friends telling them how thankful I am to have them in my life. I am sharing the sangria recipe with a friend, the entire post with my daughter! ~ Sharon
I’m going to be away for Thanksgiving, but I am sending this post to my sister, who always hosts her family. I always host my family, too, so I will show this to my husband in case he wants to get creative. Everything looks delicious!! My favorite thing to have on Thanksgiving is the stuffing:)
Thanks Mary for being a favorite go-to for decorating and recipe ideas! My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is visiting my 96 year old Aunt on the Farm and sweet potato casserole with pecan streusel. I’m a follower and have gotten so many ideas for my upcoming dinner for my Bunco gals! You make entertaining look easy!! Thanks for your generosity!!
one of my favorites is cornbread stuffing with oysters…. and pecan pie. All of your recipes look so good and I hope to try at least 1 or 2 out this month! Thank you for all your inspiration, love your site and the giveaway too! Happy November….
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday….a time to reflect on the goodness & blessings of the Lord. I love taking a few extra days off to enjoy baking and preparing special recipes for family and friends.
I look forward to your post….seeing the beauty of the seasons. I pinned many of your recipes…can’t wait to make them!!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving season!!
I look forward to opening your emails and as usual you didn’t disappoint! By the time I finished reading my stomach was growling. I pinned the little pumpkin pies thinking to make them with the pecan crust and topping. As I’ve gotten older I like the little desserts so I can eat more :). My favorite food is the leftovers!
Thank you!
I LOVE LOVE getting your emails, can’t wait to see what you have sent out!!! I Love the Turkey platter and the carving set!!! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and I will always look for this email for decorating and recipe ideas!!!
My favorite part of Thanksgiving is the day after as the leftovers remind me of what a wonderful dinner and fun time we had the day before! I pinned the pecan muffins.
My favorite tradition is I set an empty plate for all of those that were at my table in the past. We say a special prayer for them.
Sangria sound delish
I pinned the first picture of the Turkey player.
My favorite has to be a family tradition we have of making homemade egg noodles cooked in chicken broth until sift and plump like dumplings! All your recipes are wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Just pinned 3 of your recipes to try something new this thanksgiving. Yea! I try to add 1 ir 2 new side dishes each year to keep it fresh along with the traditional items.
Mary, thank you for the lovely collection of recipes for November! They all look wonderful! My favorite Thanksgiving foods are the stuffing and the pumpkin pie. It is SO fabulous to have a nice cold piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream, and a glass of milk for breakfast the next morning!
Your recipes look absolutely scrumptious! Thanksgiving has always been at my house, I have a turkey platter that matches yours. I have never owned a Thanksgiving carving set, that would make my day!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Good afternoon! Many years ago a new friend from Maryland told me her family always served sauerkraut with the Thanksgiving dinner. I tried it, loved it, and made it a part of my holiday meal! I love the ritual! I hope I win either set. A perfect addition to my family feast.
Oh Wow Mary, such marvelous recipes in
today’s post. I must say pecan pie has to be my favorite Thanksgiving’s dish. Thanksgiving was generally spent at my grandparents home in South Carolina. My brother, cousins and I would collect pecans from the front yard and miraculously they turned into delicious pies. We always felt we had a hand in the meal. So often our favorite foods are associated with memories of family time spent together.
Since I am an email subscriber I am leaving a second comment. I would love to win the giveaway. We are spending the day with my son’s best friend and his gal in their new home and since they are hosting this year I would love to give it to them. Thank you for this opportunity.
I pinned the chocolate pumpkin harvest cake to my food board. This just might be my contribution to Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks Mary, this was just an amazing post today.
Mary i love all the foods but the old fashion stuffing is my favorite. Your recipes look good but I am allergic to chocolate and nuts so they are a no go for me.
Thank you for the giveaway.
Marion
How did it become November already? In answer to which food I like best, really can’t separate the turkey from the dressing, which is my favorite part of the actual Thanksgiving main course. And then, pies ! My family loves pie and pies always seem to taste better on Thanksgiving Day. At a minimum, we have multiple pumpkin, apple, cherry and Cherry-raspberry. If guests come who have a particular favorite, a pecan or another flavor also makes an appearance. Thanksgiving dinner is just very special.
My favorite Thanksgiving recipe might be bundt cake after trying the pumpkin/cranberry/apple! But traditionally, Thanksgiving is homecoming to Mississippi, family reunions, and cornbread dressing with lots of giblet gravy!
Subscriber and pinner! The turkey servers make my heart go pitter-pat! Thanks for the opportunity, and I’m looking forward to attempting some of these beautiful fall recipes.
(1) Thanksgiving is a favorite of mine! I love our family gathering that lasts all day and late into the evening. My mama’s dressing is one of my favorite things to eat on Thanksgiving. She took over making the dressing in our family when my grandmother passed away. (2) I am a subscriber and enjoy your posts! (3) I pinned the Royal Stafford Thanksgiving turkey plate! Gorgeous!
Oh, how I love Thanksgiving! My favorite recipes are my mother’s cornbread dressing, Nutty Buddy sweet potato casserole, and Texas pecan pie. I made your recipe for Potato Gratin with Rosemary Crust for Christmas dinner last year, and it’s now a family favorite. Thank you so much for your always lovely posts!
For the past 15 years we have called dibs for Thanksgiving with my mother-in-law, Eunice The rest of the family can join us but we have made it known that she is ‘ours’ for this holiday. In years past, Eunice traveled from Great Falls to Helena to join us at our home, but Eunice is now 95 so the past 3 years we have brought dinner to her instead. She still lives alone in her own home, but doesn’t do much cooking.
My mom always made a cranberry fluff salad for Thanksgiving. It had fresh cranberries, marshmallows, nuts ,pineapple and coolwhip it was my favorite. We always asked for it every holiday while my kids ask for Watergate salad. Your pictures are always amazing of all the food. Thanks for the giveaway chance.
.
You make the most beautiful foods and presentations, plus your photography has always been amazing!
Everyone in my family has always loved my mother’s dressing and stuffing (she made it for both inside and outside the bird). My sister-in-law makes a ready-made kind, and it’s all I can do to nicely pass on it. I make my mother’s recipe, and my sisters make my mother’s recipe. It’s a tradition.
What great utensils you’ve found, and you are always so generous in including readers in them. Thanks for the opportunity, Mary. Happy November!
Mary, you have me wanting to push my chef out of the way and start baking. That pumpkin bread pudding is definitely on my radar. I pinned that photo!!! I have some individual turkey tureens and plan to copy your idea. I’m always at a loss for how to use these little tureens. Love everything about this post. The recipes are all mouth watering, but the styling is the absolute best! Happy November!!!
Even though, I’ve been cooking all day for my husband’s birthday celebration tonight, all your receipes look delishious! Pumpkin pie is my favorite Thanksgiving treat.
Mary, once again you have such a beautiful way of displaying food of all kinds. Whether it is a vegetable or just a snack, I love how elegantly it is arranged and decorated. It makes an all ready delicious dish even more desirable and appealing. I could almost taste that pie just looking at it. Have a wonderful month of November.
Hello Mary! Love your November post and all the yummy recipes you shared! Thanksgiving is always a special time for family gatherings and remembering the past and creating the new. We always have a traditional Thanksgiving feast with Turkey, Stuffing, Potatoes/Gravy, Greenbean casserole, but for dessert I make a “Bourbon Pumpkin Cheesecake with a Candied Ginger crumble” that keeps everyone coming back for more♡
Beautiful recipes! I always make a cranberry salad that my Mother made also. It is cranberries in sugar then mixed with purple grapes and whipped cream. My husband always loved it. Love all your decorations too!!!
Pinned. Thanksgiving tables are one of my favorites. Maybe it is the colors, the food, the family, the memories. This was a beautiful post. Thanks for sharing.
This comment has nothing to do with today’s post. I prepared your Chicken Orzo Soup Recipe for dinner tonight. Both my husband and I have had colds so I went to my Pinterest food board and there it was. I remembered just how delicious it was and started chopping. Fortunately I had a just purchased a rotisserie chiciken yesterday. Since I am allergic to wheat I substituted wild rice for the orzo, it was just what the doctor ordered. I now have plenty for tomorrow evening and the freezer. I already feel better. Thanks again Mary.
I absolutely love and am extremely jealous of your talent! I pinned the turkey plate as it is most beautiful. I have been following your blog for a few years and will sign up for your email.
We live in a town with a huge military base and we always had 2 soldiers join us for Thanksgiving through a program at the base. It was wonderful to share our time with these young men who were unable to get home for the holidays. We loved meeting them and sharing food and tradition with them.
Hmm…that’s a hard one but I think I’d have to choose homemade stuffing and gravy! Yum! I am an email subscriber as well (can’t resist your gorgeous photos and I’m a sucker for your garden!) and I just pinned the pecan streusel pumpkin pie recipe. Sounds delish!
Favorite food is sweet potato casserole with caramel sauce. Our families recipe. Favorite tradition is eating outdoors like the Pilgrims. We have always included those we knew were unable to be with family for turkey day including soldiers from Ft Benning. A great way to share Thanksgiving with others.
What a fantastic parade of awesome recipes of which I have tried many and all are winners! Had so much fun making the turkey cupcakes, they made me laugh out loud as they seemed to come to life while decorating them! The Pecan pie muffins are oh, so good as is the Cranberry Apple Pumpkin Bundt cake. The Pumpkin French toast with streusel topping is wonderful and I enjoyed cutting out the Cranberry Pecan pie crust leaves. This year I want to try the mini pumpkin pies, I know they will be delish, am pinning. Mary, you are ALWAYS so generous to us and last night for my husband’s birthday gathering, I brought out my beautiful Wallace Autumn knife to cut the cake and served it with the pie/cake server from the set of 5, that I received as a winner from one of your giveaways. I LOVE IT and am always so proud and happy to use these pieces. Always receive compliments on them, 🤗 so I’ll pass on entering, but wanted you to know my gift is greatly loved and cherished. Didn’t know there was a lasagna server also, so will look for that to purchase. It’s hard to pick a favorite food because I like it all, lol, but I have to say the turkey with my sister’s awesome gravy on it and of course MASHED POTATOES with lots of gravy. Yum! Thankful for YOU and the joy you bring to all of us! God bless, Happy November, let the good times roll, calories and all! 😄
My favorite Thanksgiving food, which is also a yearly tradition, is ROASTED TURKEY. Not to mention the mashed potatoes, stuffing and all of the rest of the goodies. But the turkey is a MUST.

Mary, thanks so much for the Thanksgiving post. I am a subscriber. You are so generous w/ your giveaways. It is hard to choose just one favorite traditional Thanksgiving food as I like them all! My sister recently told me that last year she made the best ever green bean casserole; I must get that recipe from her. I just love being w/ my family that day and hearing what each is thankful for at that point in time. I made your pumpkin chocolate bundt cake in October; it was delicious! Thanks for sharing your creativity! I also just made the maple glazed owlets w/ the amped up spice cake mix; the buttermilk and extra egg does make a difference.
Thank you for a round up of favorite Thanksgiving recipes, dear Mary! I can see Cissy making those turkey cupcakes. She would love those! I won’t enter the giveaway because I so thankfully won your last generous giveaway. You’re the best!
Mary, we look forward to the Sweet Potato Souffle every year. BUT we save it only for Thanksgiving since it is so full of butter! Thank you for all the luscious recipes. I think we will start a new tradition with that pumpkin french toast on Thanksgiving morning!
The WHOLE Thanksgiving menu is my favorite! I only change side dishes according to who is attending as I make at least one of everyone’s holiday favorite. One tradition is the family gathers a day or two before to make all the desserts. I pinned your collage of pics because as always, there are so many delicious recipes. (I will be making the ‘pumpkin spice nuts’ recipe this year.) Also, I am an email subscriber.
Oh my! I have so many Thanksgiving favorites, that it is hard to decide. But a soft, flavorful dressing is always on the menu. Corn pudding will be my choice this year, too. Thanks for the give away Mary. I hope I win one!
I am also an email subscriber for years now. Love your blog!
Thanksgiving always holds a very special place in my heart! When I was pregnant with my first son, I had morning sickness (more like ALL day sickness) and couldn’t eat much. When Thanksgiving rolled around we spent it at my grandmother’s home. I have to tell you it was the best food I’d eaten in a long time! She made my favorites- homemade stuffing, warm buttery biscuits, and she also made cheesy broccoli & cauliflower! That Thanksgiving was a true celebration for me! I was able to eat amazing food and I also got to spend it with the people I love most!
Mary, This will be my first Thanksgiving without both of my parents, and they will be greatly missed. Turkey is always the best food of Thanksgiving. The friends and family will come in as a runner up. Thank you for sharing so much of your life with us. Your posts are inspiring, humorous, beautiful and a favorite of my week. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing!
I pinned the recipe for the piecrust cookies because I love pie crust! When I was little, my mom used to make me cookies out of the leftover pie crust dusted with sugar.
I love your blog and your pictures make me feel as if I am there. My favorite food for Thanksgiving is Sweet Potato Casserole. YUM. Blessings for a wonderful Thanksgiving for you and yours.
I love everything in this post, Mary! I’ve pinned the large photo that says Thanksgiving Recipes to my “oh yummy” board and I shared it in my blog newsletter which went out today (every first Saturday of the month). I do subscribe so I can always be wowed by your photos. Every Thanksgiving is spent with our kids. Last year we drove from Michigan to Texas and this year we’ll either be driving to our youngest son’s house in Grand Haven, Michigan or everyone will come here. I’m leaving it up to them to tell me what they prefer.
Your recipes look amazing and the photography is stunning! My favorite recipe for Thanksgiving is a sweet potato casserole my mom made when I was growing up which I now make every year!
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is Sweet Potato Casserole, with a pecan & brown sugar topping! A close second is the dressing…In recent years I have found a cornbread & chicken recipe that my family loves!! Thank you for another great giveaway! Such beautiful serving pieces! I am pinning a few of your pictures!
My favorite Thanksgiving food is potato gratin, but it is so often a great disappointment, with under-cooked potatoes and a broken, watery sauce. But I remain ever-hopeful!
I’m really loving the color saturation and coziness of your seasonal photos. I <3 this time of year! I will definitely be pinning some of your beautiful photos!
Hi Mary!
I always look forward to reading your posts.
Our favorite family tradition is making a family craft (ie: homemade gift tags, gift bags, decorating cookies or making ornaments) for Christmas, after our Thanksgiving meal is over.
It is always a fun, festive time full of laughs and it’s our family kick-off to the Christmas season.
I’m a subscriber and I’ve already pinned your Cranberry-Pecan Pie Crusts Leaves!
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁🦃
Can’t wait to try some of your recipes for this Thanksgiving, the root vegetables looks wonderful!
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is an onion casserole that I have been making for years. It tastes very much like French fried onion rings but no frying is involved.
I pinned three items… Caramel pecan bread pudding, mini pumpkin pies and the pie dough leaves! You are inspiring me for Thanksgiving! Thanks for bringing such joy and beauty into my life!
Our favorite thanksgiving meal, Turkey, Dressing, Giblett gravy, squash casserole, green bean casserole, baked mac &cheese, sweet potato e casserole, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet tea, other deserts, I always have to make the same or someone will say you didn’t make it, we get so stuffed, it’s so much work but I have 3 daughter’s and they all have started helping me, I’m proud of the wonderful cooks they are becoming, my husband and I are truly blessed and just had our first granddaughter , God is good, all is well. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Love all the pies on Thanksgiving! I will need to try your pumpkin pecan streusel pie with pecan crust. We make our pumpkin pie with chopped pecans and coconut topped with a bit of whipped cream!
Favorite Thanksgiving meal includes family and friends enjoying the “same ole menu” every year. Your work is an inspiration thru out the year – a celebration!
I love making a leftover bowl the day after thanksgiving. I put turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce all in a bowl for a delicious day after lunch!!
Love every recipe you have shared. You are an amazing cook and photographer. This post made me think of where I got each recipe I have on our Thanksgiving table. Southern Living magazines’ recipes from many years past are old favorites. I make Tees corn pudding, cranberry relish, oyster dressing and green been casserole from Southern Living. The sweet potato casserole recipe was given to me many years ago by a coworker, it has rum in it, and I make it all through the year. I start to think of Tees corn pudding in August when the sweet corn harvest arrives. We buy a box of fresh sweet corn and freeze it for the very purpose of making Tees recipe. I’ve serve it at many family functions and it disappears quickly and shared the recipe also. After saying all this the turkey really is an after thought and the sides, with all the memories associated with them, are the stars.
Favorite tradition for Thanksgiving…the secrecy involved in preparing a great aunt’s recipe for Cranberry Sherbert…love that crisp taste…but the recipe is still a secret. I never make it anymore, as I am the only one in my family who likes to eat it!
I saved the picture of the Spode Celebration turkey plate…
Oh yummy yummy to all your recipes.. I don’t think I have one that tops any of yours! We are very basic (farmers like meat and potatoes!) we do always have pumpkin pie and a second dessert that includes pumpkin ice cream.. either brownies or we make a cold pie with it.. happy happy thanksgiving!!
Good Morning Mary! I always love reading your posts that include such mouth watering recipes, and especially a peak at your adorable pups. Having Bichons myself, I know how they love to be a part of everything we do. Our Thanksgiving is celebrated with many Italian traditions handed down from my parents. Coming from an Italian family many of our recipes have an Italian twist to them, and it is hard to choose a favorite, however my kids have fallen in love with my encrusted baked brie with homemade balsamic cranberry sauce, as well as my baked butternut squash with cranberries and goat cheese. For me, sharing the day with my family around the table I inherited from my Mom, is priceless. I am a follower, and have previously pinned almost every recipe from this post. Thank you, and have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Your blog is one of my favs and one of the earliest I started following with tablescapes! Yours are always lovely! My family likes the traditional southern turkey and dressing with lots of sage and onion, and sides of sweet potato casserole, greens and lots of gravy.
Just discovered your wonderful blog😊-Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday for sharing warmth, friendship and good food with family and friends. All the classic dishes are my favorites but never missed is my grandmothers creamed onions covered with a browned cheesy topping.
Hey Mary,
You are so very clever! I love how you style your tables and all of your fabulous ideas. Since we were small children (child of the 50’s) at Thanksgiving my Mother always made a congealed salad that our family refers to as “The Green Salad”. It consists of lemon and lime jello, crushed pineapple, mayo and cottage cheese. I know it probably sounds gross but it just would not be Thanksgiving without having it on the table. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I wish you and I lived closer as I’m sure we would be great friends!
This is hard! So much good food to choose from. Two of my favorites are turkey gravy (savory) and pumpkin pie (sweet). My favorite tradition is going around the table and everyone says what they are thankful for before we eat and watching a Hallmark Christmas movie after dinner. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
The recipes you shared look delicious! I bet the Overnight Pumpkin French Toast with Streusel Topping would be heavenly and the house would smell great while cooking.
One of my favorite dishes is my mom’s sweet potatoes.
Thank you!
My favorite recipe at Thanksgiving is my mother’s rice and sausage stuffing with fresh applesauce. My mother combined her mother’s Irish bread and sausage stuffing with my father’s mother’s Greek rice and raisin stuffing, to blend their two families together. It’s delicious and she helps me make it every year for our 16+ guests on Thanksgiving morning. I absolutely LOVE your ideas and recipes and plan on adding a few to this year’s celebration! Thanks!
Wow. Hard to pick a favorite but I think I will go with the Pumpkin bread in the Nordic Ware loaf pan. Just gorgeous. I’m inspired to go to Home Goods tomorrow!!
Your recipes make me think everything is a favorite! I always love the stuffing and the desserts!
Mary,
Our favorite traditions come alive at the table during during the holidays.
Pinning your round up photo! Happy November 1st!
My favorite thanksgiving food is my Grandmothers recipe for roasted sweet potatoes. As a subscriber I always look forward to your posts.
I’m a follower, Pinning these delicious recipes to my Giving Thanks board!
Mary,
Everything looks delicious!
Pinning to my Thanksgiving board! 🦃
Happy Fall!
Family plays Pokeno after dinner with prizes!!!!
Pecan pie is my favorite, next to Italian Cream Cake. Southern style, of course!
I am one of your email subscribers.

Favorite is dressing and dare I say, Leftovers. Love those bundt recipes and will try the overnight French toast. Yum.
Scrumptious – can’t wait to try them ALL!!!
Oh to pick, I would have to say cranberry sauce homemade, sweet potatoes gussied up.
It is all Bountiful on that day!!!
My family loves cornbread dressing & sweet potato casserole! So good
Mary can I come to your house for Thanksgiving because I know everything will be outstanding!

Mary, pinned the potato rosemary dish – it looks delicious.

My favorite recipe are my Mother’s Bread Dressing & Cranberry Sauce. I’m. Looking forward to sharing with family.

Just pinned your pic “Keep Calm and Gobble On.” Wonderful photo as it evokes warmth and family,
My husband has to have Copper Penny Carrots every Thanksgiving. We got the recipe from a pot luck dinner at church in 1975 and EVERY single Thanksgiving since then we have enjoyed it and think of friends from that church we live very far away from now. It tastes good and brings up nice memories which is an especially nice theme now that we are so much older.
I started subscribing to your site earliest this year and really enjoy your dogs and these recipes all look delicious!

Marion

Joan
Mary Thank You for this nice giveaway. Turkey is my favorite food for Thanksgiving. I am in love with your Turkey plates and mugs.
Marilyn
Forgot to mention that I subscribe by email, don’t know if that needs a separate comment, but here it is. Happy Novemeber. Marie
I pinned the Spode platter – fell in love with that pattern when I first saw it displayed at our local Festival of Trees.
My favorite is my version of southern cornbread dressing and a fruit salad my mom taught me how to make. There are several recipes I want to try.
Love the stuffing and pies! Pinned your cupcakes

My favorite Thanksgiving food is the dressing…mmmm!!! My favorite tradition is spending time with family on this special holiday!!!
Saved your Potato Gratin with Rosemary Crust to my Pinerest, “Favorite Recipes”! Will be making it soon. Thank you!
Thanks for letting me know Virginia, I always keep some in the freezer and wild rice sounds like a delicious substitution. Hope you feel better soon❣️
I absolutely love and am extremely jealous of your talent! I pinned the turkey plate as it is most beautiful. I have been following your blog for a few years and will sign up for your email.
My favorite Thanksgiving foods are the the desserts.
I love your blog! My favorite Thanksgiving food is cornbread dressing with homemade orange cranberry sauce!
Your pictures inspire me!!! I like to play a game or do a craft with the family after the big meal.
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is southern cornbread dressing with cranberry sauce. Yum-o.
I pinned your pecan pie muffins and I can’t wait to try them.
Your recipes sound AMAZING and I must try them all!! My favorite sides are my mother’s stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy…and pumpkin muffins!
My favorite Thanksgiving food, which is also a yearly tradition, is ROASTED TURKEY. Not to mention the mashed potatoes, stuffing and all of the rest of the goodies. But the turkey is a MUST.

You are always such an inspiration…thank you! My favorite Thanksgiving dish…has to be my Grandmother’s cornbread dressing.
I love an array of roasted veggies
Always enjoying your posts, Mary, with my morning coffee. A turkey time is a great way to share recipes. I had to print up two.
My favorite recipe for Thanksgiving is baked corn custard.
I am an email subscriber and I also pinned a photo of your beautiful turkey china.
My favorite dishes for Thanksgiving are Broccoli and Rice casserole and Squash casserole.

Oh my! I have so many Thanksgiving favorites, that it is hard to decide. But a soft, flavorful dressing is always on the menu. Corn pudding will be my choice this year, too. Thanks for the give away Mary. I hope I win one!
I am also an email subscriber for years now. Love your blog!
Love sweet potatoes!!!
Like a lot of others here, stuffing. Guess we’re deprived of it the rest of the year.
My favorite Thanksgiving Dish is the stuffing!
I am a newsletter subscriber for years!

Had to pin this one! Love trying new things, just beautiful! Like your tablescapes!
favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing!
Homemade mashed potatoes, hot and buttery! Yum! Oh, and mac and cheese!! Adore your blog, you are so talented. Love seeing the pups too.
My favorite is sourdough bread stuffing.
Your recipes look amazing and the photography is stunning! My favorite recipe for Thanksgiving is a sweet potato casserole my mom made when I was growing up which I now make every year!
Candied yams are my favorite.
I love a big pot of slow cooked green beans with bacon, sweet onions and mushrooms.

Favorite food is definitely Pumpkin Pie and Sweet Potato Pie!
I a get your post and love it!
I pinned three items… Caramel pecan bread pudding, mini pumpkin pies and the pie dough leaves! You are inspiring me for Thanksgiving! Thanks for bringing such joy and beauty into my life!

My Thanksgiving favorites are the stuffing and “desserts”!!!!! Love your blog, and the potting shed is perfection.
Your blog is one of my favs and one of the earliest I started following with tablescapes! Yours are always lovely! My family likes the traditional southern turkey and dressing with lots of sage and onion, and sides of sweet potato casserole, greens and lots of gravy.
I pinned the food compilation photo to remind me of all the great recipes you posted.
Our family tradition is using my grandmothers Turkey plates and my mother’s glassware for dinner!!!
I pinned your recipes…gonna start a new tradition!!
Your recipes look delicious! My favorites for Thanksgiving are turkey and gravy with mashed potatoes and the pecan pie.
I also subscribe by email. Thanks for the opportunity to win the Wallace serving pieces. They would be a beautiful addition to the Thanksgiving table!
