Happy Monday! Are you in need of some flower therapy? If so, you’re in luck, as I’m joining my blogging friends to send some Monday Morning Blooms and floral inspiration your way!
You’ll find my blogging friends’ links to their floral creations at the bottom of this post.
Our common theme for this week was ‘White Christmas’. While I’m always dreaming of a rare ‘White Christmas’ here in North Carolina, Mother Nature was two weeks early, surprising us with 8 inches of snow last week, before changing over to sleet and freezing rain.
To create a ‘White Christmas’ floral arrangement, I started with a white soup tureen for a container and an icy branch wreath. The wreath was the right diameter to rest on the rim of the tureen and frame the arrangement with sparkling branches. I started by filling the tureen with Leyland cypress greenery, free-for-the-clipping, to provide a base for the flower arrangement.
The greenery supports the stems of three large snowball size white hydrangea blooms. A $4 bunch of long-lasting white alstroemeria from the grocery store fills in among the greenery and hydrangeas.
Glittery snowflakes, icy branch picks and frosted pine cones, add some wintry details and filler to the ‘White Christmas’ arrangement.
I set at a table for two to enjoy the twinkling lights and glow of the tree.
A gray and white plaid throw provides a tablecloth for a cold December day!
And a *deerly* loved table runner is layered over the throw and topped with a some rock salt and icy branches to create a snowy landscape on the table.
Mercury glass votives add some sparkle and shimmer to the table, along with snowflake glass ornaments.
Snowflake napkin rings provide some additional sparkle and top a cable knit textured salad plate.

As always the curation and layering of your table is truly perfection and a feast for our eyes!….I so look forward to joining you for Monday Morning Blooms each and every time…you always start my day off with the most beautiful inspiration! Have a very Merry Day Mary!
Mary, You never cease to amaze me with your flower creations and your tables. Your White Christmas arrangement is stunning! I’m going to look for some winter and snow flake picks when I’m at Michaels to use in a winter table arrangement. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Merry White Christmas!
Mary, I love your idea of placing the icy branch wreath over your tureen for your flower arrangement! Pinning to remember! Thank you for the flower therapy this morning!
Absolutely exquisite, Mary!! I adore this frosty look & am also amazed that you have snow & Ohio has none??? You did a spectacular job of creating this winter wonderland tablescape. I’m having hip replacement surgery today & will be offline for a bit, so let me wish you a VERy Blessed Christmas & a wonderfully healthy New Year! Maybe I’ll be up to doing some tables in 2019!
Thank you Rett! Wishing you a speedy recovery with your surgery today and a very, Merry Christmas! I’ll look forward to seeing some of your tables in 2019 ♥
Gorgeous table and arrangement…the name White Christmas is well placed…this could also be used as a New Years celebration table!! As ever…WELL DONE!!
The tablescape is beautiful as is the centerpiece. I love the Icy wreath you used. What a great idea!
Now you have me dreaming of a White Christmas Mary, but one that comes with a gorgeous flower arrangement and cozy table for two! Beautiful in every way. Thank for the peek at your snowy lake too!
Absolutely my favorite tablescape until the next one you do! The snow and ice theme is gorgeous but I am glad our storm from last week has finally melted away. We had over a foot in Greensboro. Have a wonderful week. I plan on finishing some baking and wrapping.
Mary, don’t know how you do it year after year after year. Always fresh, always beautiful, full of “Mary” creativity, humor and smaltz. Always my favorite blog because of no adds to interfere with the story you’re telling. Kudos lady. Have a pleasant satifying holiday.
So beautiful! I am eager to get the dogs out for a snow day but it’s still storming so have to wait til the pass is clear, seeing your sparkling table is just wetting my whistle! Love the wreath idea, perfect solid base. I can’t wait until my garden grows and I can snip greens, right now it would be murder to trim a two foot tree! Rock salt is very creative, I always think of it as dirty slushy snow, it looks fabulous! Fun table, tis the season for magical fun, can’t wait for the skies to clear and get my dogs adventing again 🎄
Oh my stars! It’s not two for Tuesday, but it sure could be with your wonderful Monday morning white blooms and beautiful tablescape, Mary! Wow! That is so quietly beautiful in the grey and white, and just enough green to give it life. I was wondering if that snow hit you as hard as it seemed to those a little further east of you in NC, I now have my answer. Thank you again for such eye candy on this gloomy Monday morning. Have a great week.
I agree with Kathy. My favorite until you do the next one!!! Love all that you do Mary.xoxo
Beautiful and inspirational, as always. You sure know how to make it a “Mary” Christmas!
GORGEOUS Mary! You have outdone yourself again. This is one of my favorites! The icy branch wreath was ingenious and adding the glittery snowflakes, icy branches, and frosted pine cones gave your flowers a special holiday sparkle. Your tablescape with the bokeh from your tree in the background is elegant and so chic! Very pretty. I’m pinning away.
It’s beginning the countdown time to Christmas and I will be traveling. Have a wonderful Christmas!
Beautiful and elegant, Mary, so creatively done.
I love this gray and white color palette for a holiday and winter season display…very lovely! Wishing you and yours a Happy and Merry Christmas!
OOh Mary, you are so talented! I absolutely love your tables – everything seems so simple, and always elegant. Thank you for the continued inspiration!
In the Deep South we rarely get to see the snow and ice, which is a good thing, but to create this tablescape indoors is such fun and puts one right in the frosty spirit. Love the rock salt idea and the silver wreath. Will definitely use this arrangement for our January supper club.
Thank you for sharing your marvelous talent.
Just Beautiful!
Mary, What a beautiful tablescape! It could even be used in January. The rock salt makes wonderful “snow” & is so clever. The table runner is so pretty. Will be pinning this post. The dock covered in snow is so pretty; we just got sleet & rain. Wishing you a wonderful holiday. Clara❄️🎄⛄🎅🦌
Mary, Your the winner of this floral arrangement, I love everything about it, the table setting is absolutely amazing! Who would have guessed to use rock salt for snow sparkle and the runner is awesome. Beautiful, Beautiful.!
