Rosemary Simple Syrup adds an herbally, pine note and sweetens this cocktail,

to balance the tart cranberry juice.

It’s easy to make and will keep in the refrigerator up to two weeks.

It mixes well with gin, vodka and tequila or Christmas Sangria.

Mix and adjust this cocktail to your taste for more or less mischief ;)

1 oz. vodka

1 oz. rosemary simple syrup

2 oz. 100% *cranberry juice

Add ingredients to cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into champagne flute.

Top off with sparkling wine of your choice~ Champagne, prosecco or Cava.

Garnish cocktail with cranberries and sprig of rosemary.

*Select your cranberry juice based on how sweet you like your cocktail.

Cranberry juice and juice blends can vary from 5 grams to 28 grams of sugar per serving.

Our go-to cranberry juice has 7 grams of sugar, so the addition

of the simple syrup doesn’t make it overly sweet.

I wondered about that towel! What a great name for your cocktail. I could certainly use one of those on Christmas Eve, especially when family tracks in all the mud with the rain we’ve been having and expect yet to come. I will definitely have something to take the edge off of the hustle of hosting.
Merry Christmas, Mary. Be sure to get photos of Lola’s first Christmas. ♥

Looks and sounds just Devine. I have all the ingredients except for vodka so a trip to the ABC store will remedy that. I have been searching your recipes for a white chocolate bark but cannot find it and I am sure you had one last year because I made it. Would you please give me some help. Thanks.

I love your site and always have great success and comments from others about what I make no matter what the season your ideas are fun A question about the rosemary simple syrup recipies
The sangria with rosemary simple syrup was great but the reindeer cocktail with rosemary syrup and cranberry tasted like medicine. Was it the wrong juice? Ocean Spray diet and ocean spray Sparkling Cranberry? Could the rosemary simple syrup be too strong? We enjoyed the bubbly instead.

    • December 29, 2018 at 11:44 am

Hi Babs, I think the diet versions of cranberry juice taste medicinal. I use Lakewood Cranberry, it only has 9 grams of sugar and you’re only using 2 oz. so it’s a very small amount if you’re worried about sugar. Maybe cut back if on the rosemary simple syrup if you’re not a fan, or eliminate but I think it might have been your juice. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
