Wow, so many ideas! Beautiful post. We always have ambrosia salad as a side dish. My mother always thought the salad with the coconut was Easter like and we continue her tradition.

Mary, you never disappoint with one beautiful post after another!!!
Our family is of Eastern European descent and we have ham with kielbasa (always served cold) with a beet/horseradish on the side. My three sisters and I always make our favorite cookies to share for dessert!
I love the bunny plates and thank you for the opportunity to possibly add them to my Easter tablescape in the future.
Easter blessings to you and your family. 💐

We always have scalloped pineapple as a side for ham balls. Our favorite salad is lime jello with cottage cheese. We’re also going to have your layered salad. Last year I made your bunny bark. It was a huge success. Thank you.

Since seeing your Angel Food cake w/lemon curd filling and fruit (several years ago)..this has been a tradition in my family. It’s easy to do and I also make it for Birthday celebrations. When placed on a cake pedestal it makes a beautiful centerpiece for any occasion.

Beautiful post and thrilled that Spring has arrived in NC. Here in Colorado the blizzard has passed out to surrounding states and we are left with the snow. We have leg of lamb, asparagus, deviled eggs and a lamb shaped cake for Easter. This meal is in honor of our Lord and Savior, the perfect lamb and sacrifice.

I prepare a dessert platter with two types of homemade chocolate – dipped Easter eggs: butter creme and peanut butter; homemade decorated Easter cookies (bunnies, chicks, and eggs); jelly beans; and pastel M&Ms – and pastel M&M peanuts. All of these treats are placed on colorful Easter grass on the platter. A wooden bunny is situated in the center of the platter. Treats to please everyone! Happy Easter and blessings to your family~

My husband’s favorite spring side salad is a black-eyed pea salad. Easy to make and keeps well in the fridge. I’m an e-mail subscriber and I look forward to pinning a picture from this post. The hard part is deciding which picture to use!

  24. April 11, 2019 at 8:55 am

Oh Mary, I love your blooming cabbage!! Don’t you love that Easter is late this year, it gives us so much more time to play! I do need some inspiration as I just found out I’m hosting a family party and egg hunt this year so I need to get hopping! The PB bunny plates are adorable. We never have the same thing around here, this year I am going to make a lemon cheesecake. Thanks for all the Easter cuteness!

I so enjoy reading your blog. My family has a strong Italian back ground. I still make the traditional Italian pies for Easter. There are 3 pies I usually make. One is a savory meat and cheese pie. The other two are sweet. One has rice in it and the other is a sweet custard type pie. It isn’t Easter without them!

I love to serve carrot soufflé. I cut out 1/2 of the sugar from the original recipe so it’s more side dish than dessert. We get plenty of sugar from coconut cream pie! Your recipes look so tempting. I’m sure at least one will be on the menu! Happy Resurrection Day!!!

    April 11, 2019 at 10:26 am

Happy Easter/Happy Spring! As always your post is a visual and creative gift. Almost as much fun is reading all the wonderful comments. I appreciate that there are many of us who would love to have those floral bunny plates hop our way. So please add my name to the list and I do subscribe by email. It is interesting to read what foods are special to everyone’s Easter table. It makes sense, but I was surprised by how many people mentioned deviled eggs, they have never been part of our Easter meal. But, like others we have ham and mashed potatoes and often asparagus with many other additional items. Next to the ham, a fresh fruit salad makes the meal for me. I wish you a very special Easter. MM

    April 11, 2019 at 11:27 am

I am not that great if a cook, so I pretty much stick to the traditional ham with side dishes of green bean casserole, cheesy potatoes or a scalloped potato, etc. since the grand kids, I’ll do Mac-n-cheese, they like that. Desert is usually carrot cake, lemon bars, something light, simple. Always tho, everyone gets a big chocolate bunny, & treats!! I do try to make it fun & pretty although no comparison to your tablescapes & food!! Thank you! Happy Easter!!

    April 11, 2019 at 2:24 pm

Love all your Easter decor! Thank you for the chance to add the PB bunny plates to my decor. I always make deviled eggs and a macaroni salad with our Easter ham. Dessert is usually a cool refrigerator dessert in a lemon flavor. When my daughter was young, I’d make a bunny cake, using a single round layer for the head, and another round layer to cut ears and a bow tie. I’d decorate it with frosting, white coconut for head, pink tinted coconut for inside of the ears and the bow tie, candies for eyes and nose, and black licorice strings for whiskers. May your Easter be blessed!

Of coarse I pinned, Of all my pins yours are the ones most often re pinned. Of coarse I would love, love those plates but most of all I want to take out a few moments to thank you. My husband had a stroke. He is doing better but life has been hard. Your post, your sharing of beauty has helped me so much to keep my head above water. Through your righting and sharing garden beauty I had this spring to look forward to. I am busy planting, and getting soil ready and hubby is helping the best he can.
You are helping so many people, you probably do not even know how important your posts are. So I thank you.

Oops! I forgot to tell you our favorite Easter side dish. We actually have two that we love with baked ham. They are homemade baked beans and potato salad. I’m making myself hungry just thinking about it.

  96. April 11, 2019 at 3:34 pm

I just want to “hop” right into that table! Deviled eggs are always a favorite. I especially liked it when I was a kid and we would dye eggs, then my mom would make deviled eggs from those. Sometimes a little bit of the dye color would end up in the whites which made them even more special. I love reading all the comments here and other peoples’ favorites. I think carrot cake is genius!

Beautiful Easter tablescape! One of my family’s favorite Easter brunch dishes is Paula Deen’s Baked French Toast Casserole. However, I’ve learned to cut the amount of butter in half for the Praline topping! The original recipe calls for A LOT of butter!

Our favorite sides are 7 Layer Salad, home grown asparagus and cheesy potatoes with smoked lamb. Mary, I was scrolling through all your Easter posts and thinking, How does she do it so wonderfully all the time? Truly, each post is delightful.
    Great giveaway!
It has been a very long time since I’ve hosted an Easter Sunday meal. My kids live away and we usually go to our small town Country Club for Easter brunch after church as a couple or if our kids are here. Our longtime friends do also and we enjoy seeing their visiting children and grandchildren. I grew up with my mother doing traditional turkey or ham and cornbread dressing and southern sides. It was always delicious.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter. We are traveling to our daughters home for Easter this year.

I love all of your beautiful table settings! I remember my Grandmother always had banana pudding for Easter.

  118. April 11, 2019 at 11:10 pm

I usually serve a Spiral Sliced Ham, an asparagus puff pastry with herb cheese, and my Strawberry, Cream Cheese and Grand Marnier Roll for dessert. This year my sister-in-law is bringing Scalloped Potatoes, and my daughter is making a birthday cake for her four year old nephews who will be joining us for Easter. I have loved the way you use the Pottery Barn plates in many of your table settings! After seeing yours, I will add some deviled eggs to my six flowered egg cups and put them in the center of the platter that will hold enough for 30+ folks who will be coming to Easter dinner.
