That table setting is so lovely…thank you for sharing!! I am hoping my table is as beautiful and want to make the Fairy Berry Angel Food cake for Mother’s Day. Can you share the cake recipe too? Wishing you a very Happy Mother’s Day!
Thank you Denise. It’s not a recipe, more of a “method” for decorating a store bought cake. You can find more details on this post: https://homeiswheretheboatis.net/2012/06/14/berry-quick-easy-layered-cake-2/
Well first of all I adore that quilt. What a delightful pattern and I love the colors. Your floral arrangement couldn’t be any more perfect with it! The dish pattern is lovely.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the world’s Mothers. To all that are lucky to still have their mother, you are blessed. I had the greatest parents ever! They made my childhood wonderful…never had to wonder if I was loved, never had to wonder/worry if we were going to have enough to eat or clothes to wear…never had to worry if I was still going to have a family? I know this is supposed to be about a Mom but my Dad played as big a part as Mom!! They did it together….and together, I miss them everyday!! ❤️💐🎁🌸🌹🌺
Mary, you have created an incredibly cheerful arrangement that is so beautifully coordinated with your most treasured Grandmother’s “Grandmother’s Flower Garden Quilt.” Your Grandmother has to be truly proud of her Granddaughter honoring her in a Mother’s Day tribute/celebration. I am truly fond of the Grandmother’s Flower garden quilt pattern as it was the first quilt pattern I learned in a quilting class I took so many, many years ago. I was a working mom then, taking one class a week but work, baseball and soccer games and life, prevented me from finishing it. I need to do that! Although your arrangement and tablescape is so beautifully precious in every way, may I say the star today for the Mother’s Day theme has to be the quilt…maybe it is because of it’s sentimentality and sheer beauty and envisions of your Grandmother making it. Mondays of Monday Mornings Blooms is always a delight with you all!!! Have great week Mary!
Amazing, simply amazing and beautiful, all of us Mom’s will enjoy the beauty you gals have shared.
Oh Mary, your table is gorgeous. You have a great view of the lake and your garden setting from your table. Your grandmothers heirloom quilt is stunning and you have equaled it with a complementary arrangement. I love the store bought flowers you chose but especially like some garden flowers added in.
I am so jealous of your new bluebird family! Great photos.
I’ve enjoyed Monday Blooms as I travel across Texas this morning on our way to Alabama.
What a cheerful table, Mary! I love your bouquet and your Grandmother’s Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt! May is also my favorite garden month, and this year is bittersweet as I bid my farewell to my garden. I will simply have to follow along with yours even more closely to get the thrills I so love. Thank you for always delivering that beauty.
Absolutely beautiful Mary! Once again your tutorial makes me feel as if I could create an arrangement using your tips for my table. I adore your Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt and your flowers coordinate beautifully. Your shots of the bluebirds nesting are so sweet.
I love that quilt. Absolutely beautiful. And the rest of your setting is gorgeous also. Happy Mother’s Day.
Gorgeous!
What an absolutely amazing quilt! The love and hours that went into making it are truly amazing!!!
Your beautiful Mothers Day table is very special!!
Although some of your lovely items are antiques, the whole look is springtime fresh
Mary, I also have a grandmother’s grandmother’s flower garden quilt that looks so much like yours. I almost used it for this MMB. Your table is beautiful with your Limoge salad plates and your stunning floral arrangement of garden and grocery store flowers. It looks like the perfect day to eat alfresco next to the lake. It is always a pleasure to share Monday Morning Blooms and to start my day in the garden with you💗
Your Grandmother’s Grandmother Flower Garden Quilt is not only beautifully made but it’s so cheerful and your flower arrangement looks as if it grew out of it! So pretty Mary in your lake side setting watching the birds and enjoying the best of Spring flowers. Your great Aunt’s china is so delicate and lovely, you have not only set a beautiful table, but embraced family memories. I always love your flower tips too, I was wondering what the thought was on flower food in mixed arrangements as I knew bulb flowers didn’t like it, thanks~ I hope you have a sunny Spring week!

Mary, the world would be a much more beautiful place if everyone had ur sense of style. Thx for sharing ur talent!
Oh Mary, there’s so much to love in this table by the lake. Your grandmother’s flower garden quilt is such a beautiful treasure!!!!! How wonderful that you inherited it and can love and use it. The Limoges salad plates, belonging to your aunt, are so delicate, and look perfect atop the Mikasa Endearment…swoon! Using your mother-in-law’s goblets add such a vintage sweetness to your table. The centerpiece with all the lovely colors ties everything together so perfectly. Thank you for all all floral tips, too. May you have a wonderful week in your beautiful surroundings.
Thank you, Mary. Beautiful as usual! I love the quilt!
Amazing, simply amazing and beautiful, all of us Mom’s will enjoy the beauty you gals have shared.
Beautiful table Mary. The quilt is lovely and the story behind it…makes it even more special. How wonderful you have such treasures from your family to set your table. I especially love the bluebirds building a nest. Thank you for including this Mom in your table today.
Beautiful as always! Thank you for the information regarding the quilt. I have my grandmother’s quilt like yours but never knew the name. THANK YOU AGAIN! The flowers, birds and lake are stunning.
Mary, I have always been a fan of your quilt. It’s gorgeous! The colorful bouquet of flowers is beautiful and using heirloom pieces certainly pays tribute to all the lovely ladies who touched your life. Love that you were able to capture the pics of the bluebirds preparing their nest. Happy Mother’s Day! Clara 💖 🐦
Such a beautiful and charming setting for your table Mary! The quilt is the perfect back drop for your lovely bouquet, those colors are absolutely gorgeous. What Mom wouldn’t love to join you there at your table for Mother’s Day? It is always a joy to join you for our Monday Morning Blooms, friend. I always leave feeling encouraged, inspired and ready to face the week with a huge smile and a happy heart. xo Lidy

The quilt is a beautiful heirloom Mary! The flowers are very pretty too… Long full day of rain yesterday, budding trees are done but the annuals I just planted seem happy:@)

Absolutely love your taste in flowers, quilts, dishes, silverware, etc!! Also, your recipes add to each post, and I love, love your love for pets!! Nature is always a stand out too which I treasure. Always excited to see each new post. HAPPY Mother’s Day!!
So very pretty Mary especially since you are using your Grandmother’s quilt and Limoges salad plates. My Granny made a Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt in shades of pink and I feel so fortunate to have it. I am sure you treasure it as I do mine. Thank you for the step by step instructions on how to creat this lovely arrangement.
So very lovely! What a loving tribute to your grandmother, such a pretty quilt. Does the shed still house the awesome pinkish antique dresser? I really liked the shape of it as well. Love this setting by the water and to feature the bluebird parents is precious as well. 5 stars Mary ! Happy Mother’s Day and may Miss Lola give you lots of extra love on that day! 🐾⚘🌾
Your tablescape is a delightful confection with the beautiful synergy of the precious heirlooms of quilt, rosy salad plates and delicate translucent goblets. The dinner plates perfectly echo the rose theme of the salad plates, as do the tableware and napkin rings. The piece de resistance is your perfectly color coordinated floral arrangement that ties in all the other elements. Simply magnifique’.
This brought beauty and joy to my heart!
Very beautiful quilt, so intricate in detail and a spectacular floral arrangement.
Mary, your Grandmothers quilt is a beautiful treasure. The dishes are just as beautiful and I love the centerpiece. Everything is just beautiful…as always!
This is a wonderful table setting! How easy to pick the floral arrangement to match the quilt. And the plate is my sisters china pattern. Looked so good set this way!
