Lakeside Limonata Table and Sparkling Cans of Flowers

Memorial Day is the unofficial kick off to summer and just two weeks away.

With summer on the horizon, I’m happy to be part of a

‘Welcome Summer’ Tablescape Blog Hop this week!

You’ll find links for summer table inspiration from 20 table stylists at the bottom of this post.

Between thunderstorms and with an eye on the weather,

I found a window of sunshine for a little alfresco dining!

This post contains affiliate links. For more information see my disclosure policy.

Sunny yellow lemons provided some cheery table inspiration in the form of a tablecloth and dinnerware. . .

And Sanpellegrino Sparkling Limonata cans were repurposed

as flower vases for the table.

The colorful graphics on this sparkling lemonade make a fun flower vase!

I used a can opener to remove the tops of the cans.

You can upcycle any tin or metal can (with or without the label)

as a vase for casual entertaining. I love the idea of an assortment of colorful cans blooming

with garden flowers running down the length of the table!

I cut some Popcorn Drift Roses that are in bloom now.

They start out yellow and fade to creamy white, reminiscent of buttery popcorn!

They’re joining privet that’s also in bloom and yellow alstroemeria from the grocery store.

I added some waxflowers left from another arrangement

and gave them a good trim and added them to the vases as filler.

I was all abuzz over the bee detail on the tablecloth and I pulled out my bee napkin rings. . .

Transform your napkin rings with magnets and a little Rub ‘n Buff, HERE.

A Galvanized Metal Three Tiered Stand is a favorite centerpiece

and pulled into service frequently . . .

It’s functional as well as versatile, serving as a breakfast station,

a centerpiece to Set Sail for Summer

or to Celebrate the Red, White and Blue!

We’ve been in a rainy and stormy weather pattern for several weeks

so I was thrilled when the clouds parted and Mother Nature

provided us with some welcome sunshine.

Mary your lemon themed table is so pretty by your Lake Norman. (BTW, HGTV has been showing houses for sale at the lake and they are so charming.) Yellow is one of my favorite colors and your table is gorgeous with all the little bees popping up here and there. I also love the new ideas from each and every tablescaper and yours never disappoints. It is always a fun and inspiring time when you are at the Blog Hops.

So darling, I loved your other bee tablescape but this one is terrific. Where do you dream up these ideas?? I think if I were you, I would keep a scrapbook of all these tables, not even having to search your Pinterest. Love the bees and that flatware is the “bees knees”, couldn’t resist being corny.

  25. May 14, 2019 at 6:26 pm

Mary, once again, you have set a fabulous table. Great minds think alike…LOL We both went for lemons. Your centerpiece is stunning! Plenty of sunshine and a cheery table to sit and enjoy. I do love the bee ware. I have it as well. Your cans look wonderful as vases. A tiered centerpiece looks like a showcase. I almost did a tiered stand with florals and lemons. A beautifully set Limonata table. Always a pleasure to join you.

You know I love me some lemons! I miss the abundance I had at our old house, nothing screams FRESH like lemons galore! How tall does buttered popcorn get, I have a statue I want to circle, but need them low, your looks compact?

Gorgeous as always, lemons, bees, fresh flowers, the pure simple joys of life! We are getting rain for a week, unheard of for my climate, I must say it just feels good to linger in bed, I have been hitting the garden hard before dawn breaks, a life of leisure is sounding pretty good today!

Mary, bee still my heart! You just know I am all a-buzz over the linens with bee accents and lovely napkin rings. I have the Napoleon bee flatware in my own collection — we both obviously have exceptional taste LOL! How very clever and charming is your centerpiece made with those colorful cans and flowers! Add to all that the gorgeous setting, and you have a stunner of a summer tablescape.

  33. May 15, 2019 at 4:21 pm

What a fun and creative tablescape! Love the idea of using the cans for the flowers and the lemon theme! Hopefully the weather will start cooperating and you’ll enjoy more days like this one!

Love your Lemon theme with the friendly bees! So beautiful! I noticed Cracker Barrel had a cute display of “Bee things” for this summer and of course had to add to my collection. You are such an inspiration to your fan club :) It’s already 100 degrees in Phoenix, most of our lemons have been picked, but our freezers are now full of lemon juice and rinds. We are Blessed!
