Lola turned 1 and celebrated her birthday this week!

It seems like it was just yesterday when we brought her home.
We feel so lucky to have found her. She’s a such sweet girl and has grown up so fast!
And she loves a boat ride!
I found this dog birthday crown on Amazon that comes with numbers to celebrate each birthday . . .
She learned at an early age (and from Gracie) to wear something in her hair and to pose for the camera. . .
I’ve said this before, but for such a happy little dog, she takes posing for photos very seriously . . .especially when there are treats involved!
{ Please excuse all the hair in her eyes, she gets a hair cut next week 🐾}
Frozen blueberries are one of Lola’s favorite treats. . . she has some every morning when I make smoothies.
It’s been so hot the past few weeks with 90 degree temps that frozen treats are the perfect birthday treat, no baking required! I used the same method as with my Star-Spangled Frozen Berry Dog Treats, just a two ingredients, a blender, and silicone molds or ice cube trays.
Frozen Berry Dog Treats
🐾 8 oz. **Plain Greek or regular yogurt (**make sure your yogurt does NOT contain artificial sweeteners which harmful to dogs or added sugars, which they don’t need)
🐾 1 pint Berries (I used half blueberries and half strawberries)
🐾 Water
Place yogurt and berries in blender, blending until pureed. Add water (1/2 cup, more or less) to thin and make mixture pourable. Pour berry / yogurt mixture into mold or ice cube tray. Place in freezer until solid and pop out for a frozen dog treat.

We had a busy and fun Memorial Day weekend with my sister in town and then she spent a day at doggie daycare.
She was too pooped to party and needed a nap!

I am so happy she was such a good fit for you, she found the best parents ever! I can’t imagine 90+, our weather is freakish cool and wet, I swear 4 of my trees are starting to show fall colors, this is not the California I know for sixty plus years! Frozen treats look freezing, where’s the doggie cocoa?! I know when 100 plus degrees rolls around eventually this post will be calling me, the treats look adorable, but I appear to be in the wrong hemisphere!

Awwwww….making me cry…we had to put our sophiejane down 2 weeks ago and I am a basket case. Every day seems worse than day before. She was 19 and my very best friend. I remember when your Chloe and Gracie went to heaven and I thought, I’ll never be able to handle that. And I can’t. We grabbed all our kids and grands and came to beach so I could heal. It’s just not happening.

It was so doggone hot in Asheville, we had to get our long-haired cat a crew cut. I made your frozen treats for him with dairy-free yogurt, and he goes crazy when I open the freezer. So funny!

Just wondering about how many treats you were able to produce from a batch this size. I don’t need a scientific calculation here, just a ballpark figure would be fine. Are we talking 10 or 50 or somewhere in between? thanks
It depends on the size of your molds. Each individual cavity (paw print, bone) holds about 1 tablespoon so about 4 dozen treats.
