4th of July Vertical Appetizer Snack Tray

Celebrate the Red, White and Blue with a vertical snack tray! Fun to assemble for easy entertaining

With Independence Day on the horizon, I have a fun and easy appetizer tray for your holiday snacking to celebrate the red, white and blue (or blueberry!)

This vertical snack tray combines elements of your favorite cheese and charcuterie boards that are popping on Pinterest and Instagram right now. I started with a galvanized metal tiered stand, but you can use any kind of board or tray to create this patriotic snacking station.

My sister brought me a couple of boxes of Valley Lahvosh Star Crackers that she found at Sprouts Farmers Market in Georgia. They’re fun for serving with an Easy Christmas Tree Cheese Board, or a star-spangled celebration! They’re available online from Sprouts and Amazon in case packs of 12.  If anyone finds them by the single box elsewhere please leave a comment and let me know.

Pick your favorite red, white and blue foods to build this patriotic snacking station. I added some red pepper hummus and star crackers for dipping. . .

Add your favorite cheese. I added a wedge of rosemary Asiago and some white cheddar.

3 Seed Beet Crackers from Trader Joe’s are a tasty and a gluten-free option for family and friends to graze on.

I included a bowl of mozzarella pearls for blackberry caprese skewers, with party picks for a nod to the Red, White and ‘Bloom’ for the 4th of July.

Add some berries, grapes and / or cherries. . .

Include some cured meat and nuts. I added some salami, almonds and pistachios.

The top tier of the galvanized tray has some sweet treats. . .red, white & blue M&M’s, blueberry yogurt dipped pretzels and frosted sprinkled stars.

Exercise your Freedom and Independence and build your tray or snack station however you like!

As an Amazon associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. If you purchase anything through an affiliate link, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

If you’re craving more red, white, and blue food fun for Independence Day, you can find round-up of patriotic and party treats for your Star-Spangled celebration, HERE.

However you celebrate, spend a few moments to remember and give thanks for our military men and women, whose service and sacrifice allows us to live in freedom.

Thank you for your visit, sharing with:

Where did you buy the galvanized metal snack tier?

    • June 29, 2019 at 9:46 am

I bought mine at Pottery Barn several years ago but they’re available lots of places now. Just google galvanized tiered tray and click on “shopping”.

You can buy the star crackers in a pack of 6 rather than 12 on the vallylavosh website :)

love this idea bc sweet is with sweet and savory, etc on another level. How would one keep dips or cheese cold enough during hot temps? Thanks for sharing your ideas.

    • June 29, 2019 at 12:45 pm

Hi Barbara, you could easily add crushed ice to one or more of the layers of the galvanized server to keep your dips cold 🇺🇸

Thanks for the fun 🇺🇸 Inspiration, Mary!! My son actually surprised me this evening and did the charcuterie board for me while I was gone. I would love to find those star crackers and the pretzels. I may have to go to Sprouts tomorrow before my grands come.
