The dog days of summer are associated with hottest, most uncomfortable part of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. These hot, sultry days of summer are historically marked by the period following the heliacal rising of the Dog Star, Sirius. Greek and Roman astrology connected Sirius with heat, drought, sudden thunderstorms, lethargy, fever, mad dogs and bad luck.

We have been having the DOG DAYS OF SUMMER since June!! HOT, HUMID & DRY and, Iâm sooooo over it!!! Ready for Fall..even went shopping and bought Fall items to maybe push the season forward…now those cuties, Lola & Sophie (sounds like a singing duo) are something else!!
