Happy Wednesday! We’re weighing anchor and setting sail into the last weeks of summer!
Red, white and blue stripes provide a foundation and nautical-inspired tablecloth to keep our table afloat. . .
Decorative wood buoys provide a centerpiece for the table and add a little coastal charm.
We’re navigating the summer waters aboard a sailboat with a red and white striped sail. . .
And by the steadfast beacon from lighthouses to get us safely to shore.
Blue and white straw mats frame carved wood chargers to serve up our plates.
And we’re setting sail with nautical flatware with a with a rope border and sailboat design.

Mary, I want to sail into the last weeks of summer with you, preferably with your pups on your pontoon! Love all the nautical! Congrats to your winner!
I have to admit, I was really hoping to win those dishes! But I’m happy for Franki and trust she will enjoy them. I’m a fan of anything to do with the ocean and the beach, so I love this tablescape and the one you did previously with the “By the Sea” dinnerware.
Maureen…I could send you a photo…we will toast to your health!! fmp
Love the red, white and blue Mary! Stay cool while sailing into the last days of summer. 💙⛵

Amy, thanx!! Excited! fmp
My, oh my, this is an awesome table with all the nautical items and the red, white and blue. The white wooden chargers look like white caps of waves floating by. Love the wooden buoys as centerpieces along with the sailboat. This is the perfect table to enjoy the last days of summer. Love the lighthouses! Well done Mary and congratulations to Franki! Sail on Summer Breeze! ⛵
So cute Mary, LOVE the sailboat, and all the red white and blue! A perfect summer send off! I know a lot of Southerners that would appreciate a little wind in their “sails” right now 😅 I’m heading to the coast in a few days hoping to catch a breeze! Enjoy those fantastic dishes Franki!

KITTY, SO PLEASED!! Thanx! fmp
Mary, A wonderful Wednesday tablescape! Love the sailboats & buoys. The place settings are all so colorful and beautiful. Congrats to Franki! Enjoy these last summer days. We’re still under heat advisories but got an unexpected storm last night with lots of rain so no hose lugging today! Yay! Have a great week! Clara ❤️⛵
Your tablescapes are always the prettiest! I would really (I mean REALLY) love to see a post on how you would recommend collecting dishes in a way that gives seasonal variety, but with basics that go with most everything. I would also LOVE any tips you have on how to organize and store everything. Due to a kitchen water damage disaster, I am currently having to pack up many dishes, and have found that I have them so scattered that is difficult to remember what I have and what I had planned to use various plates for, what they go with, etc. Just a thought, since you are one of the reasons I have so many!
Great giveaway, and what a handsome table. I really like those textiles.
Lovin’ this Mary! One of the things I love about your blog is that you don’t jump so far ahead into the next season. We all know fall is around the corner but it’s still summer for a while yet, especially in the South.
Franki, I am thrilled for you but Green with envy, would have loved that set. Enjoy using them.
Mary, you have certainly made Franki happy and although green with envy she is to be congratulated. Your last nautical setting was so inspiring I bought nautical fabric to make a tablecloth for the table on the dock. Our two oldest grandsons ages 15 and 13 arrived yesterday. I met my daughter in Rocky Mount our midpoint, had lunch and brought them back here. We have a full week planned hoping for good sailing weather. I also wanted to thank you for the woodlands post. You solved a problem for me. My Dad had carved a woodpecker and I painted it many years ago. My cleaning lady dropped it and broke it’s tail, my husband is working on it but the cloche is empty so until he finishes I know exactly how to fill it. Thank you again for another inspiring idea.
Lovin’ that tablecloth Mary! Just need to get through tomorrow and the temps will actually be in the 70’s over the weekend! Very much looking forward to that and maybe some grilling out:@) Enjoy the last couple weeks of summer.
Mary,
The chargers that peek out and look like the white caps of waves are perfect. Such a lovely end to summer! I really enjoy the flexibility of the items you are able to use for different themes.
There is a study out indicating that the first 6 minutes of our day sets the tone for our entire day. I always start my day looking for new posts from you because you always have such beautiful photos and ideas!
Betsy
Thanks so much for your sweet comment Betsy! I so appreciate your visits ♥
Cette jolie table donne vraiment envie d’embarquer !
Bonne journée.
Mary, this table truly makes me want to set sail. Nautical themes always delight my senses, and your table even more so! I really like the use of parallel runners down the table. Great idea! I also like all the wood details for the centerpiece. Textures delight!!! Congratulations to Franki! What a fun setting to win. You are the most generous friend to all. I have certainly been on the receiving end of your generosity, so I speak from experience.
Very cute table. Congrats to Franki. So many delightful details.
Mary, your sailing tablescape is lovely. A wonderful way to end summer. The dishes are so pretty Congrats to Franki, whom I am sure is thrilled. The sailboat is so fun.
So cute, you are making me miss the beach! Been gardening So much I never see the coast these days, you have me yearning!
