Oh gosh! I could just sit out there, dreamily looking at the water all day! You have such a gorgeous view! And everything always taste better outside ! Have a blessed day!
I agree with you Bren. I think I could enjoy that view year round.
I also enjoyed the view from the end of the dock looking back at the trees. Such a pretty photo with the sunlight on the trees.
Prayers for all in Dorian’s path!
Looks like the perfect day for eating outside at such a fresh and sunny table! You are incredibly blessed to live in this beautiful setting; I’m sure it inspires many of your great tablescapes. One note: On the table details for this and your Monday Morning Blooms post, you mention that the sunflower plate and mug are from Home Goods–but I couldn’t see a mug in any of the photos for either post.
Thanks for pointing that out, Mary. I completely missed it! It looks so pretty with the flowers in it. I guess when I read “mug,” I was looking for something on the table to hold a drink.

What a beautiful feeling just to look at your pictures, thanks for that, and for all inspiration! :)
Oh Mary, I love it and would enjoy joining you anyday😊 I might even cast my rod while sitting there ! Ha! I love yellow so this is a favorite table scape!!
Mary, you have a beautiful view from your table! The plaid cloth says fall is on its way, I can’t wait. I know I said this Monday, but I just adore the sunflower plates, they are just perfect. How smart to recycle the MMB flowers. I would love to have a seat at your table! Have a wonderful day 🌻❤️🌻
Hi Mary, I agree with Maureen that you are blessed to have a home on the lake, but you are also blessed with a wonderful eye for detail! I always enjoy seeing how the tablecloth, flowers and dishes blend so seamlessly. The crisp, vibrant blue of the lake is gorgeous with your hydrangeas and the stripe of blue in your plaid tablecloth. Thank you for sharing your blue water views and talent with us!
Love this tablescape Mary as the scenery is gorgeous! Your vase is so pretty full of colorful blooms. The woven placemats are perfect for carrying plates outside to dine al fresco. We are so glad the bands of torrential rain from Dorian won’t affect you since the hurricane is staying further out to sea. We’re back in the heat & humidity too. Stay cool and enjoy the rest of your week. Clara ❤️🌻
Oh goodness Mary, how delightful and 70s…I am trying to remember what that feels like 😂 I love how you brought fall in with the tablecloth and throw and the flowers are stunning against the blue lake background! I also love the shot of the table and the receding dock…I only wish there were bouncing white fur balls running around! I am sunflower crazy too right now, been doing a little fall decorating at the beach house 🌻

Your table and floral designs are always a joy to see! Your photography is stunning! The blue water as a backdrop to your yellow floral vase and sunflower arrangement is breathtaking! Love the shot of the pier!
I am smiling to myself because a few days ago I took an online “quiz” to find out what “flower” best represents my personality. To my surprise it is the “sunflower”! Thank You always for your generous inspirations!
Ahhh, (deep, contented sigh), such a lovely table setting and a wonderful view to match. I LOVE looking at the water and could sit there for hours chatting away, or just being quiet and soaking in all of its beauty. We just left Houghton Lake yesterday and had similar views. Those sunfllower dishes are so pretty, love the bowls and the beautiful amber etched goblets with the fall-ish colored tablecloth. It is stirring a desire for me to start getting out my fall decor. Thankful you are not in the path of Dorian, but praying for those that are. ❤ Thanks Mary, happy hump day!
Grateful that Dorian isn’t a threat to you. I feel so for all those who live in the path. Growing up on the Gulf Coast, I’ve too many memories of hurricanes past.
This is such a lovely setting. I always sigh when I see one of your tables, especially down on the dock. I know it must be a lot of work to transport things to the dock, but on does it make for a perfect setting! The darling image top left in the header is too cute for words. Hope you have framed that one!
Je ne suis pas une “fan” de la couleur jaune et des tournesols ….mais vous faîtes de si jolies tables…que je trouve cela superbes ! Vous allez me convaincre de faire une table d’automne dans ces tons.
Très bonne journée
Great shot at the end of the walkout plank, Mary. SUch a pretty bouquet and table. We didn’t get those mild 70s! Dorian is as slow as molasses. My sister came to WV from SC, and at the rate things are going, she may be here until Christmas! Be gone, already!
Your sunflower table for two 🌻🌻 is so cheery! I love those bowls, Mary. It’s good to know that you’re too far inland to be affected by Dorian, but we will keep others in our thoughts and prayers.
So inviting! I’m glad you mentioned you are safe inland. I was trying to remember your location and was worried about your beautiful setting. Yes prayers for those in the path!
Miss seeing your little dogs. They are adorable! I’m looking forward to cooler weather too. I’m in Idaho, which tends to get real high temps. Blessings to you!
What a cheery and inviting tablescape, as are all of your presentations, Mary. Stopped by to check on your location during this awful storm and pleased to discover that y’all are not in harm’s way…keeping those who are in thoughts and prayers for their safety. Enjoy your beautiful view…
Absolutely gorgeous! I keep looking for a bug or spider since it is fall and you are buy the water. Do you clean every single day?? Your flower bouquets and tablescapes make me so happy in the morning drinking my coffee and reading your blog posts while hubby is off to golf.
Mary, what a sunny post today! Thank you always, for your inspiration!
Lovely tablescape.

Such a sunny fall table scape! I like the mix of textures and colors. As always, you have the magic touch.

Hi Maureen, You can see the mug on the arm of the bench with sunflowers in it here: https://homeiswheretheboatis.net/2019/09/02/hello-september-and-sunflowers-on-the-porch/ 🌻

So lovely! The sunflowers mixed with reds are perfect for this time of the year. Thank you for this slice of delightful joy.
With the water backdrop it’s stunning… Love the long pier shot!
Delightful. I was surprised and happy to see the tweedy throw in your chair matches the one I just purchased at an estate sale for fall decor!
I love sunflowers! I’ve been wanting to do a sunflower table. Thanks for the great ides.
Thank you for the joy and inspiration you bring not only to my life…but to so many others as well. YOU ARE A BLESSING!!!

Pardon, erreur de frappe ; lire ces tons !

Sometimes I think you love sunflowers as much as hydrangeas…grins…so bright and cheery against the water…how fun!
Beautiful table! I really like that vase…and thankful you are out of harms way!

Oh how gorgeous! It’s all so stunning! I also enjoy your walk down the dock to this area. Enjoy my friend!
Your neighbors must love you. This kind of thing is contagious . When you have such beauty all around. This is too beautiful for words.
