Happy Thursday! I’m at the table with botanical fruits and dining alfresco in celebration of my favorite season!
An Autumn Harvest Fruits Tablecloth provided a foundation for the table.
And an wood pedestal adorned with acorns, elevates a medley of fruit, including pumpkins, as well as leaves and hydrangeas. . .
Making an easy 5-minute centerpiece for the table.
Mother Nature has yet to get the fall memo here in North Carolina with our summer-like weather, but the Autumn Blaze Maple is showing the first bit of color.
I collected a few maple leaves to add to the placesettings and tuck in the centerpiece among the fruit.
A set of four Botanical Fall Fruits Plates provided the inspiration for the table. . .
With Pears, Figs, Grapes and Olives.
Botanical Fruit salad plates are layered on Mikasa English Countryside dinner plates, with an embossed fruit and lattice borders.
They’re served up on tree slice chargers, paired with bone-handled flatware, for an organic touch and to add some warm texture to the table.

“Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits.”
Love it all, Mary, especially those plates. It looks like Fall, for sure, but we still have another hot week on tap here in WV. Right now I’m sitting in your Charlotte airport, heading west! We’re hoping to at least enjoy some Fall in the national parks of UT and come back home to some true Fall in early Oct. Have a great week ending.
What comes to mind from this table is how beautifully mellow it is – perfect for autumn. I love the idea of tucking the mini pumpkins, flowers and fruit under the pedestal plate.
So pretty and makes me long for cooler temps….It is supposed to be 93 today in NC. I love the way you always add your source details at the end of each post. Thanks! Have a great Thursday!
Mary, I don’t ever remember seeing the WS fall fruit plates, they are beautiful. I love fruit as a centerpiece and yours is beautifully presented. I am becoming weary of this heat, we are predicted for a cool down beginning a week from tomorrow, but no rain!
This is beautiful Mary, the abundant fruit pedestal, the natural leaves, the wood slices, the flatware, the botanical plates, hydrangea blooms, all join together for such a welcoming table! Such a pretty setting by the lake, if it wasn’t too hot you could linger there for hours! The tablecloth is wonderful…

This is a beautiful post, one of my favorite times of year and you do a fabulous job of showcasing the season!! Have a great weekend and here’s to cooler weather soon in our area !! :0)
Well done! Fall in all her beauty, right there on that lovely table! Love the long stems on the pumpkins and those wooden chargers are the best. I really love that soft checkered fall throw, perfect for cool nights sitting out on the porch. Getting my pumpkins today! Happy Fall! 🍊🍂
The salad plates and the yummy fruits in all the jewel colors are the stars here. I am jealous of those plates, what a sparkle to your table and how fun would it be to serve a salad on them.
Mary, another beautiful scape! I have a wooded compote that I use in the same way. So quick and easy for a centerpiece. Your fall table is inviting and I wish Mother Nature would get the memo and move autumn temps into the south.
Another stunning table, Mary! I love your centerpiece and you use such beautiful linens! I’m always completely inspired after one of your posts – thanks so much! ❤️
Fresh fruit is always appropriate! A lovely centerpiece to complement the great tablecloth, napkins, plates, and chargers. Loving your bone handled flatware too.
Happy Fall and enjoy your weekend coming up.
Hi Mary, Recently as I was deleting old emails, I came across a blog post of yours that I had missed. In it are several photos of bees on flowers that I would like to use as inspiration for my watercolors, but I noticed your request that we ask permission first. The watercolors, of course, would not look exactly like your photos, nor would I post your photos anywhere, but wondered if this would be alright with you? These watercolors would be donated to our local Albuquerque apiary society for their fundraising to educate folks on what sort of gardens they should plant for bees. Of course, if you would rather I did not, I will honor that. I do not personally profit from the sale of my work, as I am much too intimidated by keeping track of the taxes and just donate everything. Most of these donations are to benefit environmental programs, and programming for children and youth. I will do nothing unless I hear from you that this would be okay. By the way, you are my favorite blogger. (Shhh, don’t tell your blogging friends!)
I love your Fall bountiful table, Mary! Your salad plates are perfect with your tablecloth. We both share a live of our Mikasa English Countryside, which is so versatile. Your centerpiece is so easy, too. Your flatware adds such a warm, Fall beauty, along with the wood slice chargers. 🍁🍂
There is not much I can add to what’s already been said…just a beautiful table, made even more spectacular as seen through the trees to the lake. Hoping we’ll soon begin to feel some cooler temps here in the South. Thanks so much for ongoing inspiration and gorgeous photography.
Once again your fall table is full of all kinds of gorgeous details! I’m so ready for cooler temps like we experienced in Northern Michigan for a week recently. Looking forward to all your pretty tablescapes.

Beautiful bountiful table!! I love the little pumpkins with the looooong stems!!! Those FALLING LEAVES are around the corner!! 🍆🍇🍎🍏🍐🍊🍁🌾🌻
Thank you Ellen, I think the only falling leaves we’ll see for for the next month will be those that fall due to lack of rain. It’s hot AND dry! :)
