Happy Sunday! Here’s a little weekend waterview from Lake Norman. . .
We’ve enjoyed the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets over the last couple of weeks.
I took these first three photos with my iPhone while I was walking the dogs. . .it’s all about the light!
The weather was beautiful yesterday and a sunny 60 degrees. . . a gift in December!
Lola and Sophie have enjoyed some outdoor time with our mild weather. . .
And we’ve enjoyed a little fire pit time over the past couple of weekends.
Sophie says, “Excuse how scruffy I look, I just had my spay surgery and I can’t be bathed for two weeks.”
I’m hoping to finish decking the halls this weekend.

So beautiful Mary! Sophie and Lola are too precious as always :) We spent Sat afternoon and evening by the outdoor fireplace, such a nice weather weekend here too…My halls are almost decked… Have a wonderful 2nd week of December!

Serenity at Lake Norman – so beautiful. Sophie looks just fine! She and Lola always pull my heartstrings. Brought our fresh tree inside yesterday – lights and ornaments on this afternoon and we are done!

Just gorgeous, and so fun to see real dogs enjoying themselves by the water! I have a normal internet routine when I wake, I used to save your site for last , but with rural service often times your pics don’t load and I am too restless to wait, today I said do I read the wretched news first, or do I brace myself for the worst and revel in Mary’s beauty to get through the latter! I think joy should come before pain, I am far more receptive to total immersion than after the shocks of the day! if I really wanted to stay on this beautiful euphoric high I should exit now and never read the news again, thanks for being my buffer to reality, it’s always picture perfect here!
Decorating trees today, trying to learn how to decorate here, there’s always a learning curve settling into a new house. We cut our tree yesterday, when husband brought in he pulled off the longest hair he had every seen, wondering who had hair that long, simple, it was horse hair, I can now enjoy my tree knowing horses swished by our Christmas.
Mary, those pictures are stunningly beautiful and I always feel happier when I see your posts. Your doggies always make me smile too even though I’m a cat person. Your eye for beauty is second to none in my opinion. Thank you!!!

I just have my dining room left to do for decorating. I use my dining room table as a decoration work station so it is always last on the list. Happy Sunday Lynn
Lola and Sophie are adorable. Beautiful lake views dear Mary! It was so nice yesterday afternoon that Butch and I relaxed with a cup of hot chocolate in the garden, gorgeous December day!

Stunning sunsets!! We’ve had a lot of beautiful sunsets here in Indiana too!! We see more of them because of the open fields around us and the crops are gone!!! Sophie just looked like she was having fun and she didn’t care how scruffy she looked!! LOL!! Christmas decorating is/has been finished for some time…now it’s on to baking and wrapping!!! HAVE FUN!!

Stunning photos of the sunrises. The mist rising also is lovely with the light. Still working on decorating. Have friends that are supposed to pick up a very large piece of furniture, so I can get my tree up. As for the outside, we still have a few shrubs to do, as we had over 2 feet of snow on Monday and the temp right now is 4.

Beautiful nature shots Mary! God’s beauty❣️ The fur babies seem to be having a great time. They’re little darlings! I hope to finish up decorating by mid week as we started a little later than normal. We’re not putting as much out this year as Thanksgiving came so late; that week makes a huge difference. Thanks Mary for the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The colors are incredible. We too have had clear skies perfect for our Christmas Parade yesterday. As always Lola and Sophie are adorable. I prepared you Lemon Chicken Soup with rice instead of orzo today and it just hit the spot.
Spectacular! Those pictures are totally amazing! I’ve said it before, but I think you have a little bit of heaven right there! What a view and those sunsets are so beautiful. LOVE the foggy /misty ones but especially the one that looks like the sky is on fire, wow! Can’t forget the girls, they are just so cute. Hope Sophie heals fast, give them both hugs for me. The fire looks warm and cozy and what a beautiful backdrop the lake makes. Yup, a little bit of heaven! I hope to finish up by Tuesday, tomorrow is slated to clean all ceiling fans and steam the floors.
Mary, your girls are as adorable as always and your weekend lake views magnificent as always! Hope Sophie feels better soon. I’ve been busy decking the abode. Have the tree up and decorated, as well as the mantel. Our stockings are hung! Working on adding some Christmas cheer to the sun porch tomorrow, and then will add a touch to the diningroom and kitchen. At least that is the plan. I wish I were further along, but what can I say, I’m not!!!

The sunset photos are just beautiful. The weather has been so nice this past weekend. Was away for a girl trip with my daughter so have some Christmas catchup to do. Decorating the tree today and will finish my shopping on line hopefully. Rain for tommorow so good day for some baking after a Christmas luncheon with friends. Such a busy time.
