Your post is such a day brightener to all of us, I am smiling and enjoying every beautiful item. Thank you for sharing. We stay home and enjoy.
Your Tablescapes are beyond beautiful and just my style!
So much eye candy here this morning Mary! Thank you for all the beautiful tables and photography. I think my favorite is “Bee Mine”! 🐝❤️ My favorite way to celebrate Valentine’s Day is to stay in and enjoy a cozy meal with my honey! I’m a long time follower. Thank you for the giveaway and a chance to win!
Pinning to my “Be My Valentine” board. ❤️💕
Well..I guess since I live in Canada, there is no chance of pretty plates for me..😩 , but I just wanted to say how beautiful all your photo’s are. Do you really own all of these dishes ?? Where do you keep them all? So pretty! Anyways, I have been a subscriber to your newsletters for quite a long time now and I am always in awe of your collections! I always have a thing for pretty china cups and saucers and I love looking at yours! (Have pinned them al!) I have a few pretty ones that I acquired after my mom passed away, but never take them out as I have nobody to invite to a tea party! They are almost a thing of the past and maybe I should just take them out and use them when I drink tea. I also like your stamped spoon (did you do that?) and I always love the vintage valentines. I have some that were my grandma’s (whom I never ever knew) that are well over 150 years old. However , everything is packed away in the basement and I’ve just had my ankle fused, so there is no going down the stairs this year to find them. Hubby and I don’t do anything for Valentines Day..He has shown me “the love” every single day for over 36 years. I have always felt very blessed to have him as my husband. Thank so much for sharing your pretty tablescapes. It has made my day!
So much to love here! I’ve said before but no one does tables like you do! I don’t do much decorating for Valentine’s Day now that the kiddos are grown but we do celebrate with our favorite dinner at home as restaurants are much too crowded to go out. Thank you for the giveaway, beautiful tables and recipes. Teresa
I’m a follower by email! I pinned your pretty heart dishes and transferware table to my “Dish Love” board. Teresa
My family is so fortunate that, for more than 150 years, someone saved a few Valentines from each generation. They not only grace a tea table, but a grandchild or great Niece gets to take them to school for Show and Tell.
Bee Still My Heart…what a sweet post that I missed! I love your round ups where everything is in one place, like opening a beautiful gift. Thank you for sharing your creativity and generous spirit Mary. I’ve been a follower for several years and so enjoy starting my days with you as I sip my coffee and ooh and aah over your tables, recipes and sweet furbabies. We stay in instead of going out to celebrate Valentine’s Day. My hubby has spoiled me with flowers on Valentine’s Day for 37 years now~ that’s a lot of roses (I don’t want to do the math $$)! Please add my name to your giveaway, I would be thrilled to win! Deb
I agree with everything Deb said….I love your tablescapes. It’s a treat to wake up to with my coffee.
I love the “Bee Mine” table. We enjoy staying home for a quiet evening and celebrate Valentine’s Day with my Honey. Thank you all the great ideas.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful Valentine’s Day inspirations ❤️ I pinned several today but I do that on most of your posts!! Happy Valentines Day to you and your family!
I used to be on a blog so I know how much work and love you put into this post and all of your posts. This one is just perfect in every way. Every little detail is so Sweet. When I saw the heart plates, I was going to ask where you got them and then was so surprised to see you were giving them away to some lucky gal. They are darling. Love that teapot stand too. So many pretties. Valentine’s Day in or out? Wherever I am with my honey, is good for me.This year we are playing in a Valentine golf event on the 13th and then seeing The Celtic Tenors and on the 14th, we are going to a concert of love songs given by someone we know in our community. Thank you for the give away and for the beautiful pictures!( Pinning them.)
So Romantic…. Gorgeous!
Love it all. Mary, your ideas are endless and so beautiful.
My husband and I are celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary in April and your Valentine’s Post sure brings lots of love……
Thanks!
You made my day!
Have a great Monday……..
Such a “love-ly” post. You always have such beautiful ideas. I’d love to win the heart dishes. I am a subscriber.
Hope you have a nice Valentine’s Day.
I pinned your cute vintage postcard decorated pail to my “Valentine’s Day” board.
Thank you for the beautiful decorating ideas! We love to spend Valentines Day at home, because all the restaurants are always so crowded. This year having family over for home made lasagna.
My valentine and I like to stay home and make each other our favorite valentine’s meal together!
I pinned to Valentine’s Day board! It’s one of my favorite holidays!
A plethora of LOVEly tablescapes and ideas! I love the love boat. ;) My hubby proposed on Valentine’s Day (even though I was as sick as a dog, a good testament to ‘in sickness and in health’!). We will be celebrating quietly this year, as he is the one needing some TLC this time.
I always look forward to your posts in my inbox, Mary, and pinned that photo of the assorted plates – so pretty, especially the chinz-looking florals! That waffle-weave dish towel/napkin (?) is also adorable!
I would love to win the Valentines plates. I spend Valentines day with my niece and her grandchildren and we play Bingo
We love to stay in and just enjoy each other’s company for Valentine’s Day. ❤💋We have been together 38 years now, so the going out just doesn’t appeal to us as much these days. 🌹🐢
Thanks for many years of beautiful eye candy Mary! Have a great week:@)
So much ❤️❤️❤️ inspiration in this round-up! Thank you for the eye candy this morning, Mary! We always stay in on Valentine’s evening. Happy Monday!
Good Morning
I love your ideas for tablescapes. I am also a frequent Home Goods shopper and find myself searching for your treasures.
We don’t usually do anything special on Valentines Day. We usually just stay comfy and cozy together with our cat and dog.
This year I’m leaving my sweet husband at home and spending the evening at the Cincinnati Ballet’s production of Romeo and Juliet ( he wasn’t interested 🙂).
I pinned your edible centerpiece which I’m definitely going to make!
I have the perfect spot for those plates!
Thanks
Robyn
I celebrate Valentine’s Day at home with my family.
For many years we always went out for dinner to a romantic restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s Day. But restaurants have gotten so crazy packed full on Valentine’s Day that it’s really not enjoyable anymore. So now we celebrate with a romantic dinner at home. ❤️ Thank you for a beautiful post and a great giveaway!
Hi Mary! As always, your post is over the top! I pinned a picture of your little bird plates to my Valentines board. I plan to search for my own (can you tell me where you got them They’re adorable!) Anyway, I always spend Valentine’s Day at home with my husband. My elderly parents live with us as well, so I make a special meal, hang some hearts and try to make it special for everyone. I do my best to put LOVE in the air! I know my parents wouldn’t do anything special on their own, so I like to include them. Going out seems so impersonal to me. I’d rather be home surrounded by the people I love and make a meal that is special to all of us rather than go to a crowded restaurant and get bad service and mediocre food. Thanks for the table inspirations! I would love to win your heart plates. It would inspire me to do even more for the table! <3 Danielle
I will be spending 💝day with Bugsy and Rex my 2 rescues. They are my sweethearts.Love your loving Valentine’s table settings. Makes one feel happy!🥰
Oh. What a beautiful post. Lovely! I usually do a valentines tea with friends. So I guess it’s a Galentines Day for me. Thank you for your lovely blog. I look forward to it always.
Oooih, that brings such a smile to my heart…you have given so much beauty…just love it!! My Valentine’s (Christmas)tree is so beautiful w/ real red roses, baby’s breath & lots of heart crystals. franki
Your heart salad plates are darling, the red rose towel is beautiful and the table setting is wonderful! I will do something similar for Valentine’s Day!
Love the post and all the wonderful place settings. You always have the greatest ideas to share. I am planning to spend Valentine’s Day at home with a quiet dinner for two with my long time companion (it’s been 20 years this year!), so I will probably try to make it more special than usual. Wishing you and yours the best Valentine’s Day!
I receive your blog via email ☺️
Please be my valentine🥰. You are so gifted with all of your creations I feel so lucky to have your ideas to copy! Thank you . I pinned your sweet little plates ,I love them. Have a sweet day💐
Hi Mary, Thanks for the Valentine’s love this morning! Your tablescapes are always a favorite of mine. I found you several years ago via Between Naps on the Porch and have followed you by email ever since. Our Valentine’s Day tradition started 20+ years ago when we tried to eat out and it was way too crowded. We picked up take out Chinese on the way home and that’s how we’ve celebrated ever since. Thank you for the giveaway, such a pretty assortment of plates! ♥
Pinned your pretty Valentine’s tea post and tea cup stack! Kim E.
I prefer staying in. We don’t do anything special but I do like to show my love in some small way. These plates would really help me do that.
Mary, there is almost too much inspiration to take in here. Your ideas are always inspirational and your photography is superb. Thank you for continuing to offer such beautiful, fun, and tasty ideas through your blog.
My husband and I have been married for 50 years and usually prefer to stay home and enjoy a steak he has grilled for us. I hope that you are treated to something wonderful on Valentine’s Day!
We would rather spend our Valentine’s Day at home and maybe go out for breakfast the next day since it is on a Friday this year. I don’t normally decorate for Valentine’s but your post has inspired me to maybe do a little something extra special around the house.I normally have purple and blue items scattered since we don’t really have a winter in Florida.
I had to pin the white Bee plates and spoon. Absolutely love and could keep this out past Valentine’s day.
Would love to win the plates as well to start my Valentine’s decor.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share so many Valentine ideas with us, Mary. I did spot your Rose Chintz plate. It’s such a pretty JB pattern, isn’t it? I am hosting a Valentine Tea Party for my ladies group in early February, but for Valentine’s Day, I’ll just be staying home. The assortment of heart dishes are so pretty and so generous of you to giveaway. Have a beautiful week…xo
Fun to see all the love again 🌹
I love to bake Valentine sweets and share them with my family and get extra, extra big hugs from our 5 grandchildren! I pinned your 14+ Sweets & Treats!
Mary you have the most amazing eye and combine that talent to create vignettes of beauty that so move me that I can still vividly remember a fall flower collection that so struck me I can remember it in detail three years later! These plates…be still my heart. I pinned your white Love plate to my Pinterest Romantic Interiors board https://pin.it/uupbg2prb5idxd
Thanks for sharing your beauty and brightening my day!
I love all of your posts and especially the ones that have your sweet puppies in them! I usually make my husbands favorite meal of Pot roast, mashed potatoes, carrots, and chocolate cake. Thank you so much for all of your beautiful posts!
So much to *heart* here Mary! I love round ups, so many pretties, beautiful food and flowers! Valentine’s Day is my son’s birthday so we always have a big celebration! This year will be very special as we will be celebrating my brother-in-law’s induction to the Alabama Tennis Hall of Fame, attending a special ceremony and then a big family party afterwards. The giveaway mixed pattern heart plates are too adorable!!
Jenna
You have inspired me in many ways since a dear friend told me about your blog. So many thoughtful, beautiful ideas! Thank you for sharing your gift and for the joy you bring to so many by doing so. I would love to know where I can purchase the adorable heart-shaped plates. I’m sure you have many other deserving devoted followers. Always look forward to your lovely ideas!!
We stay in on Valentine’s Day- too crowded at most restaurants. I have been a long time subscriber and enjoy your posts. Thanks for the giveaway!
Beautiful Valentine’s day collection Mary. We go to a late lunch & stay in during the evening to avoid the crowds. I’ve pinned several pics to my Valentine’s board. Enjoy your day! Clara ❤️
So much to look at and too many decisions…but I live love love love those LOVE plates!!! We traditionally go out for a really nice meal at a very very nice restaurant…we only do this 3 or 4 times a year but Valentines is one of those times…we dress up, have reservations and a nice wine with our dinner.. this year we are going to a Cabaret which is having a nice buffet dinner and an orchestra playing big band music and dancing! Anyway, thanks for the ideas and giveaway!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!! ❤️☘️❤️☘️❤️☘️
I pinned the Valentine Tea Party and Tablescape…I just love that tea pot and cup centerpiece!! I sent it to a friend that owns a tearoom…she loved it too!!
I also subscribe on email & Facebook!!
Your posts are always filled with beautiful things that motivate me to change things up. It’s fun to see if I can recreated the look for my home. I’ve been a subscriber for a good while & have learned so many tips & tricks from reading your blog. I love the Soft & Romantic setting and own a few pieces of the transferware. We always stay in on Valentine’s Day & make a special dinner. Also, I’ve pinned your Sweet Treats post to my Desserts & Treats board. Thanks for the opportunity to win those adorable heart plates!
Mary,
You outdid yourself on this sweet post! I’ve been following you for a long time and always enjoy your posts. I prefer to stay in and cook a special meal for my husband. Thanks for the giveaway chance–those little heart plates are so pretty! Have a great week! Jackie
Wow, great comments here. I pinned the red tablescape with the V-Day goodie pail, I may have to up my own “eat-in” tablescape. You set the bar rather high for all of us. Thank you, adorable tea towel with hot chocolate, sweet.
I set a small, romantic table in front of our fireplace (which is lit), play some Yanni and enjoy a steak dinner.
So many beautiful tables, dishes and creative ideas! I’m a long time follower of your blog and love getting the posts via email…..a blessing in my inbox! Thank you for the giveaway opportunity! ❤️
Mary, pinned many of the pics to my Valentine’s board. Clara ♥️
I posted to my “Valentine’s Day” board on Pinterest! 💗❤️ Also, forgot to include in my previous response…..I enjoy celebrating in with my husband! I enjoy cooking a delicious meal and setting a special table that also includes a wonderful dessert! Happy Valentine’s Day!

An outing with the mister
Subscriber. Love doing an activity with the mister. Love the plates and all the eye candy! Hosting a dinner party in early Feb. going to use some of your ideas
I’m so inspired with all your ideas and pinned so many. We love fine dining, but Valentine’s Day is not the day to go out and enjoy it. Being at home fixing a lovely dinner together, enjoying the delicious food and being together is our preference. Setting a beautiful, romantic table using some of your ideas is the icing on the cake. Thank you for sharing.
This year I’m having a happy hour/dinner for 5 couples. We get to visit and I can pull out all my Valentine related pieces. Last year I had two couples over for dinner. I enjoy holiday related gatherings.
Thank you for the pretty pics! I love Valentines Day and my favorite way to spend it is by setting a pretty table & having a nice dinner for our family. My 85 year old mom inspired my love of dishware and table settings and I love to “teach” our young granddaughters how to set the table complete with candles & flowers. Your amazing tablescapes are so inspirational! I’ve been following your blog for over five years and love to share your pages. Happy Valentines Day!
Also pinned to my Lavender board!
No restaurant for us. A bottle of wine, a good meal, and dessert served on our (Hint) pretty new plates. I miss the days when we lived on a houseboat! Nothing better than enjoying a day with your loved one and nature.
My mother is in a memory care home, her first year there after my father passed away. She’s missing him dearly. My husband and I plan on spending part of the day with her! She’ll be our special valentine!
Love all your inspiring decorating! I have been following you for several years and have tried many of your DIY’s! I too enjoy table styling! The heart plates are gorgeous! ❤️
Happy Galentine’s Day to you too!
I have been thinking I would have all my single lady friends over for a dinner, “Galentines Day” . I love to cook so a perfect excuse. This has inspired me to get my Evite out TODAY!
I love spending Valentine’s Day at home with my Sweetie over a romantic dinner. Your wonderful valentine plates would be a very special addition to our table. All of your posts are true inspirations and I regularly pin from them. Today I added a new category, “Celebrate!” using your blog as its raison d’etre. Thank you for everything you do! 💕
What a beautiful post! Thank you!
This St. Valentine’s Day my husband & I are going to a dinner/dance fundraiser. Not our typical thing but this year is our 25th anniversary so we wanted to branch out. Also, a group of my gal friends from my Red Hat group have monthly Bunco. This coming month of February I’m going to do it up big for them and St. Valentine’s Day and have them over to my home for a “Gal-entine” Bunco fest. Many of them are missing their husbands and need a good dose of girlfriend fun and love. Really looking forward to it and I hope they are too. Happy Valentine’s Day to you too.
You have a beautiful imagination and you bring all of your ideas, share your fur babies and make all of us smile when you share. We stay home and enjoy a quiet evening.
Love all the ideas! I pinned the Alice table set up to my Alice in Wonderland board. I spend Valentines day with my grandchildren so their parents can have a date night! I have to admit I am a little obsessed with your bee teapot. Happy Valentine’s day to you!
Your post is such a day brightener to all of us, I am smiling and enjoying every beautiful item. Thank you for sharing. We stay home and enjoy.
We like to stay home and have a meal by the fireplace. Our small town has an underwhelming offering of restaurants, so the few options are so busy it’s not worth the wait. I try to set a pretty table and make it special-the heart plates are perfect! Subscribed and pinned as well! Happy Valentines….
Your table ideas are the best, and my favorite item in this post is the bee hive white-on-white plates!
I love going out for Valentine’s Day but actually due to work schedules , it’s often the day before or after … which doesn’t matter to me, it’s who I’m with that matters !
How beautiful! I have been a subscriber for years. You said to share what we enjoy doing for Valentine’s Day. I was going to say, baking and elaborately decorating cookies for my grandbabies. But then I saw you will draw a winner on Feb. 5th….which will be my grandaughter’s FIRST BIRTHDAY and also my husband’s birthday. My grandson turned three just two weeks before his baby sister turns one. So many blessings!!! Happy Valentines Day everyone!
What beautiful Valentine’s tables–I prefer to stay home and share a special romantic meal with my husband.
well my dear .. what I posted on my Facebook sums it up:
my most favorite “blog” love letter … overflows with wonderful ideas and inspiration! you truly must subscribe if you love ‘beautiful moments’
I pinned the tea pot centerpiece–so pretty!!
Good Morning Mary, Thanks for such a wealth of inspiration packed into one post, so many great ideas for celebrating Valentine’s Day. My husband and I enjoy shopping together for Valentine Cards and gifts for our five grandchildren. We celebrate the day by having dinner together at home and watching a movie. You have given me so many great options for decorating the table.
When I first read your post I planned to save the Valentines’s Tea Party and Tablescapes to my Tea Party Board but it seemed to ring a bell and it certainly should have because I had previously saved it to my Tea Party Board. With that out I saved the 14 Sweets and Treats to my Sweets Board. I love having tea parties, they give us gals an enjoyable way to spend time together. I would absolutely love to be a winner of those beautiful heart shaped Valentines plates.
I like to stay in and make a lovely dinner for my husband and me – complete with flowers, music and a bottle of wine! I pinned your truffle recipe and plan to make it
I love to celebrate all the people in my life whom I love and have been blessed with, from my wonderful husband of 30 years to my incredible son and daughter, awesome sister and sister-in-love, as well as special galintines.
Hands down yours is my favorite blog. Love the photography, the color and the inspiration. I have been a subscriber for a couple of years now but this is the first time I have commented. How can I pin just one as I love them all and have pinned several in the past. Since I need to pin one, today I choose the red hot centerpiece.
Hi Mary, thank you for another lovely post! Valentines is special for my husband and I as our first date was on this day. We were married on February 16th so we celebrate both events. This year will be our 40th anniversary! We love to go to dinner but with the crowds we often delay it until the Valentine fever has died down. :) We have often found ourselves volunteering at a fund raising event for our children’s school but as long we’re together, it’s all good!
Thank you for the generous give away – the plates are lovely! I’ve subscribed and pinned more than one lovely photo!
Happy Valentines Day to you and your hubby!
For some reason my first comment failed to post so will try again. Thank you Mary for this beautiful post, which is a wealth of inspiration for Valentine’s Day, from beautiful tablescapes to yummy treat recipes. My husband and I enjoy shopping together for Valentines’s Day Cards and gifts for our five grandchildren, our children and special friends. I love to prepare a special Valentines dinner for us, which we share at home and then cuddle up on the sofa and watch a movie. ❤️❤️❤️
I am an email subscriber.
LOVE the display of beautiful dishes for valentines day….especially the bee hive plate!!! I love to decorate the house with my collection of valentine decorations. Then I like to make a special ‘heart shaped’ dinner for my husband served on some valentine plates. None of them are as beautiful as the ones you’ve displayed though…ha LOVE the idea you posted using heart shaped strawberries on a skewer…..I’m definitely doing that this year. THANKS for your post….so much fun to look at!!
One of my favorite holidays! I love celebrating Valentines by having a tea party. I’m a subscriber..
As always beautiful table settings and ideas. Just being with my sweetie, whether just the two of us or going out, is how I like spending Valentines day.
Your settings are beautiful. I’ll be home with my honey and little pup. I think I’ll do the be my honey cake. Our house loves bees. 🐝
I always celebrate in NYC, just after the Westminster Dog Show.
I love the boat picnic–where did you find that divine picnic hamper??
So pretty. Usually go out to eat and then spend the evening at home.
These are all so lovely Mary! So many great Valentines ideas – thanks as always for your beautiful inspiration! 💗
Hi Again – I pinned, am a subscriber, and we celebrate differently every year! Sometimes out, sometimes in, sometimes with friends – it’s always fun! ;) Thanks for this giveaway and for your always lovely blog! 💗
I’d love to win those cute plates. Thank you for all the good ideas. I’m divorced, and usually spend Valentine’s Day at home, but I do decorate for the holiday for my children and grandchildren (and me) to enjoy.
I am subscribed via email.
And I pinned a photo, as I often do from your blog.
Adorable plates! We almost always celebrate holidays at home because I love setting pretty tables with special dinnerware and trying out different recipes.
I look forward to your posts everyday. You have such a flair for visual beauty that I truly enjoy. Always something to learn and try. My husband and I will be celebrated our 50th anniversary this summer. Needless to say, we have seen many Valentines Days come and go. We just enjoy being together now and do not feel the need to go out and be fancy. We are both so lucky to still be together and Valentines is a day to really be grateful for that. I wish you a special day too and am looking forward to tomorrow’s post.
My husband and I like to stay at home and chill but he will be traveling for work on Valentines Day this year. 😏 He’s the best Valentine all the time! I pinned the LOVE plate picture. I’m sure I will pin all the others that I have not already pinned! Thank you for this happy post,
Everything looks so beautiful. I am in deep envy for all of your tea and dishware items. I normally like to make a personal dinner for Valentine’s Day, but all of this so inspiring I’m thinking a women’s tea party with several of your recipes would be so much better. Thank you for this wonderful post.
I love all of your settings but the “Alice in Wonderland” tugs at my heart! My father read the book to me as a child and when he became ill, I read it to him.
My husband and I make a romantic meal and set up a table in front of our fireplace!
Thank you for all the wonderful settings!
What an inspiring post! Love the white bee have plates! I’m subscribed and I pinned.
I too am a dish addict and your tablescapes are always creative and inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas, talents and DOGS with us all!
For me, Valentine’s Day is all about chocolate! I create a fabulous chocolate dessert and try to do something new and unique each year. Sometimes I host a Valentine dinner party for friends. Other times I deliver my chocolaty concoctions to friends & neighbors in boxes adorned with hearts and bows. It’s a fun way to let them know they are loved and appreciated!
I enjoy spending Valentine’s having a nice dinner out with my husband but also baking treats to deliver to friends! I saved your photo of the table set in your potting shed – the pink transferware and flowers. I love the dishes! Thanks for all the wonderful ideas.
These are some beautiful ideas! We actually go out as a family, either to the movies or to a restaurant.
I already subscribe to your email.
I repinned to my Love & Marriage pinterest board under farmermomwife.
For some reason, I can’t see my first two posts. Please forgive if I’m reposting more than once! These are some beautiful ideas! We usually go out as a family, either to the movies or out to dinner. :)
We love going out to a nice dinner just the two of us. My children come for dinner on Sundays and there is always a special holiday dessert in this case Valentine’s day.
I pinned this whole post!
I attend a woman’s club Dress Red Luncheon/Styleshow with 300 women dressed in red. I stop on the way home and pick up a 3 course gourmet dinner that an area restaurant offers to go just on Valentine’s Day and then stay in with my hubby. Winner, winner. I get such inspiration from your tablescapes. I just keep pinning!
Oh wow Mary, what a lovely post❣ The heart shape plates are so sweet. Thank you for the opportunity to win this giveaway 💕
We like to stay in 🏡 and have a lovely meal together 💞 Happy Valentine’s wishes to you❣
I pinned the arrangement in the white teapot. Love the combination of flowers. Just wish I had an epergne like yours.
We are staying home.
Marion
Have small party.
Marilyn
Have food related to the day.
Joan
We’ve gone out sometimes and stayed in others. I think what I would really like would be to have someone come in and cook for us, clean up, and then skeddadle.
Mary, it delights to review all your wonderful valentine themed tables. Each one makes my heart sing! Like you, I give treat myself to a little valentine love by adding touches around the house and on the table. Hearts and flowers definitely go hand in hand with Valentine’s Day! I’m giving the snowmen one more week in the spotlight, but a few hearts have crept in. Absolutely love the flowered heart shaped plates. Adorable!!!
Fogot to say, we stay home and dine at a table for two!!!
I couldn’t stop with just one pin! But then I never do when I’m here. Have a Heart and Buzzzzz are two of my favorite boards.
Hi Mary,
I prefer to spend Valentine’s Day by having my grown married children along with their children over for dinner. I like setting the table making a nice presentation even if we are a little crowded in my small kitchen. You have given me many, many great holiday/seasonal ideas and I use what I have to copy your “prettiness” as best as I can.
Mary you always inspire me with your posts.
I love the Valentine’s dishes. I always set a “Tablescape” for each season/holiday for my own enjoyment on my dining room table! I have 5 granddaughters. My Valentine’s has been spent with them. As each one has gotten old enough, she joins the celebration!
Since the oldest was about 10 (she’s now 25) we have gone on a St. Valentine’s “date”. We choose a restaurant we have never been to. I make them little gift bags and they have started giving me their wonderful works of art! It’s the very best way to spend the day dedicated to Love!
What darling heart plates! My husband and I stay home and avoid the crowd on Valentine’s day. Heart shaped meatloaf with good old mashed potatoes! Thanks for all the beauty and great ideas you give us in your blog!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful tables I look forward to looking at them at the end of the day. Our family celebrates by having a home cooked meal. Each person makes something special to share. We have several recipes that are only used on holidays and birthdays. This usually works but once we ended up with four desserts. lol
Mary, each week you out do the previous week. Not only are your photographs outstanding, but you don’t have ads on your blog. I subscribe by email and pinned the floral arrangements and I love that heart shaped spoon. I will spent my Valentine’s Day with Cirque du Soleil chat version (my cats).
I love these round up posts of yours, they are always so inspiring! I don’t have plans for Valentine’s Day. Ever since my husband passed away, nearly 4 years ago, I’ve played it very low-key. The first anniversary of my father’s passing will be February 12, so I’m just going to be kind to myself this year.
I have been an email subscriber for years.
I could never pick a favorite table each is unique and wonderful. This year I hit a blank as I looked over my Valentine’s Day decor. My style has changed over the years and of course they don’t have what I’m needing anywhere! I’m sure Home Goods thinks I’m casing the place I’m there so much!
We’re having a little dinner party for my 2 sisters and husbands. We’re getting older and we all realize we need to make couple togetherness time a priority. So that’s what I’m doing and can’t wait.
Thank you for sharing so much.
Love spending a quite evening with my love. No restaurant hassle. Just the two of us. Would love to share these dishes with my love for our special time together. Thank you.
Just love you!! I’m working on a wreath project for Valentine’s Day inspired from your winter nesting but I’m using pink chenille and have enjoyed finger knitting❤️
I’m so glad to hear that Lisa, it’s so easy and a fun project for January isn’t it? The pink sound so pretty and perfect for Valentine’s Day. ♥
This year I am spending Valentine’s Day hosting a fondue party for the Single’s group from my church. I am going to use reds, pinks and cranberry in the decor.
Pinned to my “What’s all the Buzz Board” I just love those bee hive plates!!
So many beautiful things to look at! Thank You. Spending Valentine’s Day quietly this year with family. Your posts are very uplifting. Lynn
I pinned Vintage Tablescape to My Tablescapes. Thank You
I so enjoy your tablescapes, especially your transferware dishes. I have some red transferware double egg cups that I should use for a Valentine’s Day brunch with my hubby! Please add me to the heart shaped plate giveaway hopefuls.
Just cozing up at home.
Quiet evening.
Happy Valentines day to you !
Mary, so hard to pick a favorite here…but I loved the cinnamon hearts in the vase—–and of course anything you do in the potting shed…and NUM your treats are always so divine!
Thank God we don’t have to pick a favorite. I love all of them! My hubby and I will celebrate the 14th with a little wine, some cheese and crackers and a romantic glow from our fireplace …. and where this leads … I won’t tell!
Mary, Mary, what a sweetheart you are to offer yet another dish give-away! I’ll pass as my shelves upstairs and in the basement are full, but they are darling. Loved all the pretty pictures, you truly outdo yourself time and again! Not sure if we will venture out or stay home with a nice warm fire, we’ll have to see what mood strikes us. Will have to have some dark chocolate though for sure! ♥️😊
I love to plan a special Valentines meal for my children and grandkids.
Absolutely love all your tablescapes! Especially love Valentine’s table settings…..but still I’d prefer to go out. :)
I follow via email. Just recently found you and have enjoyed your posts!
I pinned the Valentine potting shed tablescape. Beautiful.
Thank you Mary for all your beautiful tablescapes and wonderful recipes over the years. I love them all but my favorite this year is the bee mine Valentine themes. I pinned them all. The wonderful idea with the pontoon picnic you have it decorated so pretty. Thank you for all the giveaways.
making dinner for friends
Hi Mary, I’m new to your blog! I found you on Hometalk and clicked on your link, where I knew I had to subscribe to my email. I am truly in awe of your incredible talent. It makes my heart ❤️ so happy to find someone who can make me feel so many emotions through your use of color and settings. I pinned the blue rose plate, but, I’m going to go back and pin everyone! I also started following you on Pinterest.
My Husband and I usually spend Valentines Day at home with a wonderful meal and wine. Our children are all on their own, so now we can enjoy “Our” time.
Mary, you truly have a God given talent, and I’m so very glad I found you!
My husband works for a local florist on Valentine’s day, so we always celebrate a day later. We usually go out to dinner at a favorite restaurant. Love these beautiful tablescapes and especially these cute heart plates! So different!
Mary, of course I saved this to my Pinterest account – too pretty to forget!
My favorite place to be is home with hubby and our two dogs. Do enjoy going out from time to time but no place like home. So enjoy your gift of decorating and thanks for sharing with us.
I adore romance, pretty flowers, chocolates and quality time with my hubby. It’s a day set aside just for this very thing. Why not enjoy it? :)
Beautiful ideas! Cuddling with my husband and two dogs is my favorite way to celebrate every day! Extra special on Valentine’s Day because we have special snacks for dogs and humans. The plates would make the day even more special! As always, I’m inspired by your creativity. Thanks!
I don’t anticipate having any plans for Valentine’s Day, but if I do, it will be to celebrate at home!

You my dear you have opened a whole new world for me by happening on your blog. I always look for your new post in my e-mails. I love to look at beautiful table settings and your’s are the best. I too always keep my dinning room table set for when guest come over. I am so inspired by your blog that I would love to start a blog my self. I am a retired designer so design is my life. I no longer have my business but I miss the the design business so much. I thought maybe a blog would help my yearning for the design part of my life that I left. I love those heart shaped dishes so delicate. I have always been a romantic at heart so naturally those dishes caught my eye. I have been with my husband 53 years and I truly can say he is still my best friend/soul mate I feel very Blessed to have shared my life with this man by my side. What will we do Valentine’s day share with our Granddaughters gift’s and dinner with family that to me will be the best celebration there possibly could be.Thanks, Cher

I love each and every gorgeous Valentine’s Day tablescape you have created…whether it be in the Potting Shed, a table set in the house, the porch, and the boat!….Even though I love going out to dinner for Valentine’s Day, lately I am preferring a quiet evening at home enjoying the company of loved ones. Thank you for all of your inspiration and making us smile with each and every image.
We usually go out for a special lunch a day or two early to avoid the Valentine’s Day crowds. Thank you for all your inspiring ideas! It is always a special treat to read your posts.
I also subscribe by email. The plates look lovely!
We are staying in this year probably watching a movie under a warm blanket.

My birthday is the 17th so my husband and I usually wait until then to celebrate. This year I am volunteering at the Kaufmann Center in Kansas City as the symphony will be playing a tribute to Pink Floyd!
Hi, we like to stay in on Valentine’s. It’s so crowded at nice restaurants that a special home cooked meal is the perfect setting!
I am a long time subscriber and just love your blog. I have made several recipes of yours as well. Not sure of plans for Valentines Day yet as I may be working. Thank you for all the inspiration over the years.
love, love, love your Hearts and Flowers and the redo of the adorable red truck! :) I pinned the composite of your 14 ways for celebrating Valentine’s Day. I have followed Home Is Where The Boat Is for years! Look forward to seeing each of them. I am moving into a new house this weekend. This has been a long time coming!! So excited! I will spend Valentines Day with friends at my house this year!
Hi,
We will be celebrating at home as my husband loves to cook! My birthday is February 10th and I remember my great grandmother making me a cherry nut heart shaped cake when I was little!
We will have a wonderful spinach salad with red sliced strawberries with a balsamic dressing and red lobsters too.
After all, we live in New England😉
My daughter and her boyfriend will be coming for the Valentine festivities and I would love to add the beautiful heart plates to the table scape.
We do normally stay home and do a nice quiet dinner. My husbands favorite Cherry pie always ends the night.
I am also an e-mail subscriber.
We usually celebrate Valentine’s Day going out to dinner with my daughter as it is her birthday on February 10. She is my one and only so she gets a little spoiled with gifts! I love your tables — absolutely beautiful!
What a lovely posting! You help make life beautiful!
I would love to win those charming heart-shaped plates.
For Valentine’s Day I prefer to celebrate at home with fresh flowers, a pretty tablescape, a special dinner and dessert with my honey.
Thanks for making our days special with your beautiful postings!
Hello again! I Pinned your 14+ Sweets & Treats to my Sweet Treats board. They are great for anytime of the years. Hope I get to win the heart plates! 💜
I celebrate Valentine Day by, what else, decorating. My hutch, my table, wreaths, towels, soaps. Whatever I can find, either in my collection or currently in stores (favorites: Marshalls, Home Goods…) Before they were in school, when my children were babies, tots, I decided to excite and teach them about special days by decorating. They loved to get involved, MISS those days so much. (still hoping for grandchildren)
Love your tablescapes! I pinned several of them!
For Valentine’s Day I prefer to stay home & cook instead of going out.
I pinned these beautiful heart shaped floral plates (love them, if I don’t win, WHERE did you find these beauties?) Thank you!
First off, I am a subscriber but I have a love/hate relationship with your blog. Ha! I adore your tablescapes and think they truly are the best around. But typically most every post of yours has me scurrying out into retail land trying to find the plates, flatware, cute trucks, etc. you so artfully showcase. Ya know, GOTTA HAVE THEM! But I love it all and wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks so much for sharing your talents (and pups!!!) with us, Mary. You are appreciated.
Hubby and I seldom go out anymore…40 years of marriage will do that to you. I will be preparing a beef tenderloin for Valentines Day this year. It was supposed to be our Christmas dinner but those plans fell through. It has a yummy shallot sauce that goes with it and I hope it turns out as good as the previous time I made it. Yum.
Thanks!!!
Mary, I hope I never miss a single one of your blogs because they are always the high light of my day.. so are such a sweet lady to share all of your talents and inspirations.. truly don’t know how you keep topping your previous post every time!!! My Hubble and I enjoy each other’s company so we always just keep it simple and private on Valentines Day and stay home, Although my table setting isn’t as elaborate or beautiful as yours, I try to make our dining room decor special for our Valentine dinner… sending many thanks your way.. 💕
I am already a follower… wouldn’t miss a single one of your amazing blog posts…
Not romantic but fun none the less…we will be having a Valentine’s Day treasure hunt with our grandchildren, aged 2 and 3, followed up by a heart themed tea party using great grandma’s floral china!
My hubby and I go to a quiet dinner and then home to just chill and spend time together. The best kind of celebration! Those heart shaped plates just make my heart happy!!!
Thank you Mary for always doing these fabulous and inspiring tablescapes! I love them! My husband and I are traveling to Charlottesville to see my son and his family this Valentines Day. So, I’ll be spending time with my family. I pinned and I also bought the set of dishes with the bee! They are so pretty and you gave me a great way to display them. I also set a table for different holidays and I just love doing it. It helps with the inspiration that you provide. Happy Valentines Day!
I also follow you – have for several years! I look forward to your handiwork.
So pretty! Thanks for sponsoring this give-away.
Valentine Day is spent at home – just the two of us. :)
I’ve been following Home is Where the Boat Is for awhile now – love the pups!

I also pinned your Sweets & Treats to a couple of my boards. Thanks for all your beautiful work that you share with us.
One of my favorite ways to celebrate “I love you day” is by having a tea party with my grandgirls…the 6 older ones are all about the same age and have such a fun time together!
Of course the evening is all for the love of my life!
Good Afternoon! I also subscribe to your blog…and I love It. I have to stop at each colorful picture and study it before moving on to the next. I check out your guest posts also. I can spend the whole day doing this…lol. I lost my sweetheart 24 yrs ago…so no romantic dinner with him,,but I can invite a couple of girlfriends and have a gay old time anyhow. Have a great Valentines Day with your loved ones!
Love the post. My anniversary is the 13th so we always combine the two “holidays” Going out for Valentine’s Day is such a hassle so we stay in and cook.
I enjoy your blog so much. We prefer to have a special dinner at home for Valentine’s Day. I always make my husband a gian hear shaped chocolate chip cooke.
I am going to pin your strawberry heart skewers and your beautiful floral arrangement!
Your talent always amazes me – I have a love of setting a beautiful table and love all kinds of dishes! I will be celebrating dinner with my friend and her new boyfriend. My husband makes amazing steaks and those heart flowered valentine plates would make a beautiful presentation for some strawberry shortcake !
Every one of your pictures are gorgeous. I wish I had more room in my house. The heart shaped plates are so beautiful. Your baby is absolutely adorable. I have 2 cats.
Thanks so much for your blog. You share so many happy ideas. This Valentine’s Day my hubby of 52 years and I will probably make a delicious dinner together, Maybe a salmon dish (wild caught) and I will make his favorite desert — Lemon Meringue Pie. You make it all right to be a dish-a-holic. Though I don’t add anything to my collections these days unless I can give something away. Our two sweet Welch Corgis, Will and Grace, will get a special treat. Keep up your hard work, it brings pleasure to so many people and you have a happy Valentine’s Day also.
Love the floral look, the plates and beautiful napkins. I enjoy the day with my few decorations, and memories of my beloved! Thank you for the giveaway, and enjoy your Valentine’s!

Um. I’m in love with these plates! I’ve been searching for Valentine’s plates for the last month and haven’t been able to find anything cute. These plates are perfection ❤️ My birthday is Valentine’s Day, so I love it and go all out. I give little presents and treats to my kids every day from the 1-14th. We make valentine cookies and I set up a little crafting table so they can make valentine cards whenever they want. These plates would be used for a special breakfast on Valentine’s Day. ❤️❤️❤️
I subscribed and I pinned your tablescape to my Valentine’s day board. 🤞🤞🤞 Hope I win! 🤞🤞🤞

II always look forward to your posts. Your creativity and beautiful decor always puts a smile in my face. I am always going back and living at all your older posts. As for Valentine’s Day ours is very low keyed. I usually get roses but for the last 3 years I am not at home on valentines day as I go
Out of town to visit my life long friend and we spend time antiquing, thrifting and shopping. We treat ourselves to a great dinner
Love your tablescape ideas! We like to go out on Valentines Day!
Enjoyed your Valentine posy – I prefer to stay home for a quiet meal.
Mary, you always delight your readers with so much fun and creativity. I could spend all day browsing. I love those darling plates. Your teapot centerpiece is such a favorite. Whether you are sharing your potting shed, boat or is pretty special. Thank you for sharing your special talents.
This post was so gorgeous – my favorite I think! Every year for Valentine’s Day my hubby and I stay in with our 4 kids and order Chinese food. Then the day after we hit the chocolate store for half-price valentine goodies! A sweet and frugal tradition!💕
You’re so creative! I love your tablescape with the buffalo check and floral heart shaped plates! So cute!!!
I enjoy going out with my husband on the day before or after Valentine’s Day. It’s quieter and much less crowded.
I have had a few ladies over the last few years
