Happy Monday! I’m in the Potting Shed, celebrating the arrival of March, anxiously awaiting ‘the green’ of spring!

And as it’s the first Monday of the month, I’m joining my blogging friends for some flower therapy and Monday Morning Blooms! You’ll find my blogging friends’ blooming creations at the bottom of this post.

Our theme for this week’s edition of Monday Morning Blooms was ‘green’! When the calendar page turns to March, I think ‘green’. . . ready for new growth of the leaves to appear on the flowering shrubs and trees here in North Carolina and the beginning of gardening season.  It’s also the celebratory color of St. Patrick’s Day.☘️

I’m a lover of all things bee and was all abuzz when I found this Belleek Shamrock Honey Pot at a favorite antique mall this fall.🐝

This Devon Ware Fieldings Stoke-on-Trent British Scenes platter ‘Ludington Warwickshire’ was another find at a favorite antique mall this fall.

I was drawn to the cottage scene with the garden flowers and bee skeps.

Interesting side note: Ludington is misspelled from the factory, it should be ‘Luddington, Warwickshire’, a small village in the county of Warwickshire in the United Kingdom.

You are certainly starting of the month of green and Spring so bee-u-ti-fully!…Oh my what perfect finds you came upon at the antique shops…indeed Mary treasures!….I am sure the potting shed was bee-ming with smiles as you dressed it up with your signature touch and beautiful treasures. Now, how perfect is that plate with the bee skeps…love it and how funny they had the name misspelled. I love them; however, the bee smoker is truly the best! Happy Blooms Day Mary…these are my favorite Mondays spending time with my flower friends. P.S. Must send the soap recipe to my sister…She is a Master Gardener and a lover of all things bees and great garden soap! I will be trying that recipe too!

Lovin’ the green and white Mary, very fresh looking! Looks like spring will be a week or so early here in Philly this year, looking forward to planting my peas:@)

Mary, the Belleek shamrock honey pot caught my eye immediately and what a lucky find for you. It is good to be invited back into your potting shed, it is always perfectly dressed for whatever the season. You have assembled a bee-utiful collection of all things bees. How funny that the name was misspelled on the lovely plate. I am excited for spring’s arrival. We are starting the week with more rain and possible flooding. But, is always a pleasure to share Monday Morning Blooms with my special flower friends♥️

Winning combinations, all! There’s so much eye candy here before one even gets to the flowers, which are always artful arrangements! Love your Belleek honey pot and Luddington platter. Someday I shall make it to the Depot – bucket list. And it was nice revisiting your soap making post as well. Now that we have a HL very close, that could be a gardening activity for moi. I saved a bucket full of lavender buds. ♥

The first thought I had when I saw this was “It looks so Irish!” It is Bee-utiful Mary! The green and white just sings spring, and your new bee honey pot is so adorable! Bees are certainly buzzing everywhere in such a delightful way…I’ve never heard of or seen a bee smoker before…the smoke keeps the bees away? Your flower arrangements are lovely and perfect for your Spring green scene!

Mary, So much to love in this post. Your pitcher of flowers on your little green stool is so fresh and eye-catching. All the pitchers of flowers caught my eye. I am loving your new English plate and all the bee skip plates on the green and white check placemats with green and white gardening gloves as silverware holders. I especially like your favorite pitcher.
I enjoyed buzzing around today! So much to see and enjoy your creativity.

Green is my favorite color. I especially love green flowers. Those fancy green mums in your arrangement as well as the other one are just too much for me! I want them! And I have had my eye on that cute little green bench of yours for years. I love when you use it in anything! It’s adorable (and green!).

Mary, Your potting shed is beautifully decked out in all the shades of green. The arrangements are so lovely. The honey pot was a great find! It’s so cute! Love the platter too. It’s such a beautiful scene. The spider mums are waiting to burst forth and they’re such a rich color! Happy Monday! Clara ♥️

Oh, Mary I could be green with envy at all your wonderful finds at that antique mall, but I am thrilled for you. No one deserves it more than you! Both the Belleeck honey pot and that platter are beautiful and just perfect for your collection and our enjoyment! Lol The whole scene is lovely and represents spring in all her glory. Love the soaps too. Did I tell you how much fun I had making them and they turned out perfect. I agree with you that this little soap making project was easy, fast, fun and turned out great, just the kind of craft projects I like to do. I almost don’t want to use them as they are so cute. We are currently at 54 and it’s great to see the snow melting. I told my little garden shed, I’d be visiting her soon.😉

I forgot to ask you where you got the boy fairy with bird in hand? I’m in love with it and have searched the internet with no luck. I have pinned many photos of it from last years table setting and would like to find one. Any suggestions?

  22. March 2, 2020 at 2:57 pm

I am all abuzz too, seeing this beautiful display! I have the same Pfaltzgraff dishes (t 2) and LOVE the bee skep, honey pot! Your potting shed is always BEEutifully dressed!

We recently had a wonderful program on bees at our garden club. As I understood ,the smoker is used to quiet the bees in the hive when the keeper needs to open the hive.A small puff of smoke makes the bees think the hive is burning. They start eating to give them strength to survive the journey they think they will take to find a new home.

Mary, it will come to no surprise to you, that this post is making my heart buzz with happiness. I’m ready for spring green myself, and spent the day working with a refresh of outdoor containers today. The Belleek Shamrock Honey Pot was a terrific find. I have a nice collection of vintage and antique honey pots, but this is a new one to me. I’ve saved the photo and a few others to my Buzzzz Board. All of your posts are beautiful, Mary, but this one is one of my favorites!

I am smitten with your honey pot! I have the same one on my kitchen counter. I collect honey pots and this is just one in my collection. I just got a few yellow ones out and added them to my yellow tablescape in our kitchen.

Your bee-u-tiful green tablescape, in your shed, has me all ready for Spring! You have given me the impetus to decorate my shed for Spring as well!

    Happy Week to you!
