Easter is less than two weeks away and in anticipation, I’m hopping down the bunny trail for an Easter Tablescape Blog Hop! You’ll find Easter table inspiration from 25 table stylists this week at the bottom of this post.
I took a departure from previous years’ Easter tablescapes and a pastel palette in favor of a table that’s different for me . . . one that’s ‘black and white with bunnies all over’!
The table inspiration came from a set of black and white polka dot bunny and chick salad plates purchased on clearance from MacKenzie-Childs a couple of years ago.
They’re served up on black and white striped plates and a black and white tablecloth with bunnies, that hopped in my cart at HomeGoods.
Chicks are hatching. . .
And bunnies are blooming at the table in anticipation of Easter.
To arrange the flowers and support the stems in the bunny baskets, I used a favorite flower arranging tool and method, chicken wire, as the wire is reusable.
Baskets are filled with fragrant hyacinths, speckled eggs and stems of Charmelia, known for its long-lasting vase life.
Pots of muscari, commonly known as grape hyacinths, are blooming in a tureen. . .
To make the centerpiece, I lined the tureen with plastic bags and removed the hyacinths from their plastic pots.
Green Spanish moss provides a decorative layer and filler to conceal the soil and to nestle and ‘hide’ black and white capizeggs. Lindt mini milk chocolate chicks and bunnies provide an edible treat tucked in among the hyacinths blooms.
Our Easter celebration usually takes place at my sister-in-law’s house with extended family celebrating and eating together. We’ll be enjoying a quiet celebration at home this year to self-isolate with a mandated stay at home order through April 29th to help flatten the curve. All the more reason to do something that brings you joy, like set a pretty table, even there are only two of you dining at home!

Mary, Your black and white table with bunnies all over is delightful! I would never think to use black and white for Easter but it is so striking, especially with your colorful flowers in your bunny baskets. Keep the cheerful posts and tables coming! .🐰🐣🌷💕 Katie
Good morning Mary! I love that you did something a little different and it is perfect. The toile tablecloth is a lovely foundation for your black and white table. The MKC salad plates are adorable, have you used them before? I am admiring the florals, so pretty. I miss being able to purchase pretty blooms. It will definitely be a different Easter this year as we all will miss our normal celebrations. Have a joy filled day♥️
One of the things I love most about your table posts, Mary, is how you surprise with your creativity. This is very sharp in black and white. That tablecloth was just waiting for you and those plates, love them all together! The muscari centerpiece can’t be beat, that’s perfect with the eggs hidden within. The Bunny Williams rings and placemats are exceptionally nice. And I couldn’t agree more about setting a pretty table, especially now. I’m so happy you’re a part of this blog hop. Stay well!
I absolutely love your black and white Easter tablescape. I adore black and white and was going to decorate my Easter table in black and white this year as well. Unfortunately, due to COVID -19 we will be unable to entertain family this year. Thank you for sharing – I look forward to your daily inspiration!
Love it all! I especially love those adorable check plates and that beautiful tablecloth! Pinning for next year when we’ll be entertaining and hosting family again. Thank you Mary!
Mary, You outdid yourself this morning! Love, love, love the Black and White! So clean and crisp.
Thanks for all your beautiful ideas……..
Happy last day of March!
Your photography skills are the best. Of all the blogs I follow, I get the best perspective from yours because your pictures are so well done. Your close ups and angles allow the viewer to experience your subject matter first hand. Thank you.
You are so creative, Mary! I am amazed constantly by how you can plan different and stunning tables for our enjoyment. The black and white floral cloth makes a lovely background for your white rabbits with colorful flowers and dramatic whimsical plates. I love your muscari centerpiece with the capiz eggs and decorative foil-wrapped Easter candy. Yes, our Easter celebrations will look different this year. It is nice to have a pretty table already done.
Have a blessed Easter.

You have really changed it up here, showing that your creative mind can make all things beautiful!! Your table is exquisitely styled with the black and white for a fabulous twist on a typically colorful holiday. I love that tureen with the eggs hidden so sweetly amongst the grape hyacinths. Oh, Mary, it is always a delight to stop by! I actually had to get up from my desk and go check my linen closet…I bought the same tablecloth and napkins this year, and didn’t even realize there were bunnies on them! I guess I may be saving them for the future! I also have those same dinner plates! I guess great minds think alike. Now, those MacKenzie Childs egg-shaped dishes are fabulous! You inspire me to do a better job of styling! Happy Easter, please stay well and stay safe.
I love your color combinations, Mary! Your sweet floral centerpieces really pop against the lovely patterned tablecloth. The whole table is lovely! Pinned! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

All the beautiful colors in your flowers in your centerpiece play off the black and white dishes. Love that tablecloth too. Have a safe Easter. I think our celebrations this year will be small, but our hearts will be full.
I am a huge fan of black and white and it is perfect for any occasion! Love the unique Easter egg plates paired with the pretty striped dinner plates with the sweet bunny tablecloth and napkins ❤️ The blooming tureen with eggs and chocolate treats is just too cute! Of course your white ceramic bunny is darling with his blooms and eggs. Yes, Easter will be different this year, but this time of isolation is a wonderful chance to enjoy the little things and be grateful. I know you will get plenty of love from your adorable fur bunnies! 🐾🐾
