Happy Friday!

Calling all puzzlers and shed lovers, I have a fun and colorful jigsaw puzzle to share and giveaway by She Shed Living.

She Shed Living Jigsaw Puzzle Giveaway | ©homeiswheretheboatis.net

Are you a fan of jigsaw puzzles? We worked puzzles growing up and my hubby’s family always had a puzzle in progress during their week-long summer vacation at the beach.

We’ve been known to work two puzzles (sometimes three!) when my sister comes to visit.

My hubby and I worked on this 1000 piece this week. We normally work the edges first but I wanted jump right into the colorful sheds featured. We have it 90% complete with the exception of the all-gray border. My sister has ‘mad puzzle skills’ and we could have knocked this border out in no time if she were here to work it with us. ,-)

We really appreciated having a printed puzzle guide (which IMHO should be included with all jigsaw puzzles), so you have something larger than the small box top to refer to while working.

What a great giveaway. When my kids were young we would set up a card table and work a puzzle on it. My son would hide the last piece so he could be the one to actually finish the puzzle!
I love to work puzzles with my grandkids.

  2. February 5, 2021 at 6:38 am

Over the past year I have become addicted to puzzles! At first, it was something hubby and I could do together, with music playing, away from the TV and an opportunity to just converse., But, our sons teased we were a tad competitive with each other,. Then I had my foot surgery and I was knocking out 1000 piece puzzles on my own to keep from going crazy. I love a challenge, including those that are saw a mass of sea shells. I guess I enjoy photography puzzles best and at least 500 pieces.

My grandmother often had a jigsaw puzzle in process on a card table in her living room. I loved helping her work on them. I have not done one in a ling time but this one might change that. It’s beautiful!

Re-discovered the joy of puzzles recently when I received one for Christmas. I started working it only to have my husband join in and before we knew it we were completely hooked, worked all day and into the night to finish it. And of course we got competitive. What fun! The one we did was a fairy house but I like anything, especially if it has some nature in it.

  14. February 5, 2021 at 7:22 am

My husband and I love to do puzzles. In fact, the seed puzzle you show is one we have done as well. I love to do ones with small vignettes in the greater puzzle. Such a fun giveaway.

Love, love, love your She Shed Puzzle!!! I have a puzzle in progress in my dining room as I write. Makes the long, snowy evenings in Ohio pass faster. There’s not much worth watching on tv for me. Stay safe…

  15. February 5, 2021 at 7:27 am

My husband and love to do puzzles. Your seed puzzle is one we have worked as well. So colorful. Really enjoy the puzzles that have smaller vignettes within the larger puzzle. Nice to know there are other puzzle people out there.

Mary, My daughter has ‘mad puzzle skills’ too! We worked several over Christmas when she was home and it’s always so much fun to talk and laugh while working. My favorite puzzles to work are Thomas Kinkade but love any puzzle with scenery. Thanks for the giveaway. I’m a long time follower and love your blog!

What fun this morning Mary! I bet we’ve worked more jigsaw puzzles in the last year than in the previous 10 years of puzzle working. My favorite puzzles to work are the White Mountain brand like the two you showed. Their inventory has been incredibly low since COVID and what you can find on Amazon from them reflects that and is overpriced. Thanks for the chance to win. The She Sheds puzzle looks like one we’d love. Teresa

What a sweet giveaway Mary! We have always done Puzzles at my Aunt’s house. She always had a card table set up in the den. When you featured Puzzles on your blog, I remembered how much I enjoy them. Now I do puzzles at My home and have enjoyed introducing my granddaughters to them. Our favorite is one that has 3 different size pieces because they are only 5 & 6 so it’s a challenge for all of us! I am a subscriber.

Well, i.never ever knew “puzzling” was such a thing!! I just heard from a long lost friend of mine from 40 years ago who mentioned she was a big puzzler. But I guess I had no clue this was such a widespread interest for people.
Growing up i loved doing puzzles and my kids did them growing up….loved scenic puzzles the best…but it’s been years since I’ve done one! Great giveaway and I follow you.

This is a fantastic giveaway! Growing up in Iowa, we would put puzzles together in the cold dark of winter. A tradition that would be so fun to get back to, especially as next week it will be bitter cold and like living at the north pole!

Thank you for hosting this giveaway! You are generous and kind. I don’t have a place for a she shed, but I’m using the inspiration to design my workshop — second bedroom — in my home. With a few creative tweaks here and there, I think I can design a room that feels like I stepped out into my garden shed. Thank you again. (I’m also a subscriber.)

  30. February 5, 2021 at 8:26 am

I haven’t done a puzzle in years – would absolutely LOVE the She Shed puzzle to be my way back into puzzling! So happy for you that your darling potting shed is included! :)

We enjoy Jigsaw puzzles, summer vacations or a winter night. We always make a Christmas one on Christmas Eve and day when our family gathers. We missed the traditional fun this holiday season. As we grow more mature, we have discovered the puzzle pieces need to be larger and we are working with the 500 count more often.

  33. Sue
    February 5, 2021 at 8:27 am

My young adult daughter and I are known to stay up all night to work on puzzles. It’s a great hobby that allows us time to talk and connect while all the rest of the family is asleep. It’s becoming a precious tradition! BTW…the harder the puzzle, the better!

  34. Leslie
    February 5, 2021 at 8:27 am

Oops! forgot to say we are big-time puzzlers. Each holiday season the family works on a puzzle from Thanksgiving to Christmas — a tradition that we all look forward to. And I usually have one going in my home that challenges. Thanks again.

In my younger years, we always did puzzles around the holidays. It is a great way to get together. Ironically now, during the pandemic, puzzles have been a savior for my elderly mom as she sits in isolation. Every time she starts a new puzzle, she tells me, “It’s a hard one.” But then she completes it and has such a sense of accomplishment! She would love to win a puzzle, so I’m entering this comment for her! Thanks Mary. Your blog is so inspiring!

  48. February 5, 2021 at 8:53 am

We are puzzlers…The She Shed Puzzle is beautiful and what an honor for you!! We usually have the puzzle set up on a card table and every time someone passes by they can’t resist trying to fit a piece here and there! We did one Across America after we finished we glued it and made it a picture…we are working on a train right now…I really liked the one you showed with all the seed packets!! We like anything that catches our eye…I follow you on here and Facebook…GOOD LUCK to everyone….hopefully, if I win, we will set up a second table to get it going!!

What a beautiful puzzle and wonderful giveaway, Mary! My kids and I used to do puzzles, and my grandkids love to do them. I hope you get that gray border finished. Yes, too bad that your sister isn’t there to use her skills.

  59. February 5, 2021 at 9:28 am

Cute puzzle! That gray border would be a challenge. I ❤️ jigsaw puzzles. My favorites are books and little country towns. Or big cities. Or antique toys. Or… The she-sheds are adorable. I looked for yours as it’s the best she-shed I’ve ever seen. Your back door alone would make an adorable puzzle. But Miss October is pretty darned good! Wouldn’t it be fun putting together your watering cans? Thanks for the give-away.

This puzzle will serve as a reminder to him of the shed-to-be that that he gave me for a birthday gift. We can’t build it until spring/summer when our OR weather is a little more cooperative. Love puzzles! It’s always on my Christmas list. But I only ever got one for Christmas. No one thinks I’m serious about puzzling. I like the larger sizes and just about any type. Sure do like the She sheds! Thanks for the chance to win one. I haven’t done one in a while because my dog Bo likes them too. The last time he grabbed the whole roll of in progress and I had pieces EVERYWHERE! So I was waiting for him to grow up. He’s a boxer, never gonna happen. LOL!

The She Shed Puzzle is beautiful and so is the calendar! I haven’t worked on a puzzle for years, but this past December I purchased a Vintage Christmas collage puzzle and it brings back so many wonderful childhood memories. The only issue I have with puzzles is once finished, do I break it apart or frame and keep it? Does anyone else have trouble breaking their completed puzzles apart? Thank you for a chance to win Mary, hope everyone is staying warm.

I think puzzle solving is up there with crosswords for keeping the grey stuff in tip top shape. My most recent puzzle purchase (last month) was yoga dog one. The grandkids loved helping put it together and we are ready for our next project.

My husband and I (after 27 years of marriage) found out that we both like to work on puzzles! He had always said before that he didn’t like them. During this pandemic, we have worked over 50 puzzles together. (Most of them have been 1000 pieces.) We have found out it’s a nice way to spend the evening together instead of watching tv.

My fondest memory of puzzles is when my in-laws were still living. They always had one on a card table during the Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays. My father in-law developed a love of jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles in my 2 children who are adults now and still work them. The fishing puzzles are among our favorites since they remind us of him. As an email subscriber I love your blog and look forward to each one. Thank you for the time you spend preparing each one and for the give away.

I love this puzzle..She Sheds are so fun to pine over….When my grandchildren were little and I watched them daily, we always had a puzzle going…smaller than 1000 pieces of course, but just as fun…Now that they are in their teens, they still will sit down at the card table with a puzzle in the works and help out…Thanks for sharing the She Shed puzzles….I will definitely be hoping to win one!! I have their calendar and enjoy it very much.

I grew up doing puzzles and we still do. We always have one for after Thanksgiving dinner (Christmas themed) and when I go away for a weekend with my girlfriends I am always in charge of remembering to bring the puzzle.

What a fun giveaway! I have always loved puzzles & during the winter months always treat myself to a couple new ones. My favorites are the Charles Wysocki type (1000 pcs) with the great picturesque small town scenes. I love this She Shed one & it would be a fun way to keep us busy until spring! Especially love your Valentine’s posts, one of my favorite holidays! Thank you!

Growing up my mom always had a jigsaw puzzle going and something I enjoy to this day. I have lost track on how many of these I have done since this pandemic started. I have a friend who always loves them too so we exchange our puzzles all the time. Flower or nature puzzles are my favorites. Thank you for giving some of them away.

I have only recently developed an interest in puzzles, thanks to my grandkids. I normally prefer to knit or work on a craft, but puzzling with my grandkids is a real joy. I love ‘solving’ anything. Working on a puzzle next to a fire is a really lovely treat.
    Thank you for this blog.

I love your blogs, and I think this is so neat!! A She Shed jigsaw puzzle give away!! My mom is 93 years young and puts jigsaw puzzles together during the winter months. Great past time with family stopping by to help put a piece or two in as well!!

Oh, how fun. I would love to win a new puzzle. My family always has a puzzle going during the Christmas holidays. I bought some of those large pieces of felt for the puzzle and the pieces so we could easily move it when it was time to set the table for meals. The only little hiccup was when a piece would fall off the table onto the highly patterned rug underneath. It was almost impossible to see puzzle pieces on that rug unless you lay down with a flashlight to illuminate the edges of the pieces.

I enjoy working puzzles, if they’re not too complicated. I find it easier to do the border first and then fill in.
She Sheds are so neat and I love to see the decorations change with the seasons. So, how great it would
be to have a She Shed puzzle!

My Dad loved puzzles so we grew up with them. My two sisters had mountain cabins full of puzzles,
Our girls grew up with them and now our 9 Grand Children all love them. Each Christmas I pick out the prettiest Christmas puzzle for each family which has merged into other holidays
Upon their request! This year our little 5 yr. old called to say she had put her puzzle together all by her self 250 pieces… Mom And Dad verified!
It’s a great stress reliever, keeps the brain working and off the devices.
Your give-away is so pretty and the calendar I am ordering as mine was last minute ugly!
Thank you for sharing your awesome ideas with us.

How fun is this!!! My mom always had a puzzle going, so I grew up puzzling. As a classroom teacher, I carried that activity over into my classroom. I kept a puzzle out on a table so children could work on it as they had time and interest. We don’t keep a puzzle going here, but one of my birthday presents is the cutest puzzle of a photo of Sadie. Need to start working on it.

Mary, so glad to see your shed as “Miss October” in all her glory! I just wish she was on the puzzle too! I have discovered that I do enjoy doing puzzles, but so far have done the 500 piece ones as they fit my card table and go pretty fast. I like projects that keep moving, ha, so I’ll pass on this size. Maybe the next puzzle she produces will have your shed by itself and then I’d want in on that one! 😄

    Hi Mary,

I most definitely agree: All puzzles should come with a printed puzzle guide!

While we have always done puzzles, my family has definitely been “puzzling” our way through this pandemic to keep spirits up while passing the time indoors, thanks to Amazon. I admit that I chuckled reading about your sister – doesn’t every family member have their favorite section of the puzzle to assemble? My daughter jumps in to the center area while I tackle the perimeter. We enjoy puzzles featuring the art of Charles Wysocki or Michael Storrings, but have recently enjoyed many holiday themed puzzles, particularly Halloween!

How exciting that your shed made it to the puzzle realm, congratulations! Thanks for the outstanding giveaway of such a beautiful puzzle!

Puzzles have always been a good way to teach me patience and helped me to slow down. During this pandemic and self semi quarantine they have been a lifesaver. My sister and I used to stay up till the wee hours drinking tea and doing 1000 piece puzzles when we lived closer to each other. Some of my fondest memories. Talking to her the other day she said she was working on a very difficult one given to her by a grandson. He had had a painting he had done made into a jigsaw puzzle. What a clever gift. If I win your giveaway I will be giving it to her for her birthday in May.

We ARE a puzzling family, 4 generations in the making! Mom always had one going and after losing a leg and being in a state of shock my husband gently got her going on a puzzle in rehab that brought her back to us. She went on to live a vital, impressive 5 more years in residential care until succumbing to the COVID virus last April. We have one out every Christmas when families get together whether in our home or at our daughter’s home. my favorites are Charles Wysoki or Americana Themes. Mom preferred flowery nature and animal themes. Our grandchildren like complicated and abstract themes. Puzzles are part of her legacy to us.

OH yes, I am a puzzle gal! I like puzzles that tell a story! Puzzles that are a repetitive pattern are not for me. Puzzles have such a great history, and I understand since the pandemic they have really had a resurgence in popularity! My girl friend recently got a new puzzle for she and her husband, where you put the puzzle together to get the clues to figure out the murder mystery! Sounds like fun!
Yes indeed, I would love to win a new She Shed puzzle!

I have always loved puzzles! Now with covid being with us I think my family (husband and son) have completed about 10 different jigsaw puzzles. I prefer 300 pieces if I am doing it my self. 1000 pieces are tough. That’s when we all sit and do it together, I am trying the minis which I am framing, sooo much fun.

Hello to all who reads this,
I would have to say, one of the main reasons that I love jigsaw puzzles because it brings my whole family together. I can remember when me and my daughter lived in Florida and we would go over to my parents when a hurricane came thru. We would have one sitting on our kitchen table so we could sit and forget about all the chaos around us.
We also will have a puzzle sitting out on a table when we take family vacations to the Florida Keys, the Great Smoky mountains in Tennessee and Ithaca New York. I hope you can visualize the types of puzzles I love. I love all types, but like to challenge myself (and family) so the more complex the better. The last two I’ve done were a hot air balloon festival and a “chart” style with all the fish species on it. My second favorite are landscape puzzles.
Thank to any and all of you who take time out of your day to read this. I hope you took a little trip with me into my life.

IDK when this contest ends but we are big puzzlers in this house. I prefer nature & garden scenes, and he likes more abstract. These she-shed puzzles are beautiful. Unfortunately, we have to be careful and try to not leave it unattended for a moment because the cat also loves puzzles!!! (Also subscribed)
