Mary, Thanks for all the lovely photos of St Patrick’s Day table settings and delicious food. I think my favorite food for this fun holiday is home made Irish soda bread slathered with good quality Irish butter and a cup of Irish Breakfast tea. My granddaughter does Irish Dancing and has won several trophies. Her wish is to compete in the finals in Ireland some day.
☘I love corned beef and cabbage with carrots, potatoes, and onions☘
I shared on my Pinterest💚
My favorites are a hearty stew and potato stew. Your photo essay is breathtaking, what a feast for my eyes!

Top o’ the morning🍀
Love your posts of all the beautiful tablescapes and tasty food pics! My favorite Irish food is a fresh Lobster Roll with a tall, cold Shandy. Had this on a visit to Ireland at a quaint little seaside village on the western coast. A deliciously wonderful memory !
Mary, I pinned several of your ideas also. Enjoy your day! Clara ❤️
I don’t have a favorite Irish food … yet. All of yours look delicious and fun. I saved some of the recipes and can’t wait to try them!
Thanks Mary
Robyn
I pinned the table runner 🙂
Hi Mary, love your posts as usual and yes I am a current subscriber, pinned you post and my favorite recipe is a Guinness Beef Stew that I saw on Rachel Ray with some nice crusty bread. Thank you!
Your holiday food and fun features are my absolute favorite. You are so creative! I think that hummus dip is likely my favorite, but I will definitely be trying your hand pies recipe soon!

Pinned this post as I plan to begin decorating for St. Patty’s Day this weekend. Lots of inspiration here!
Hi Mary ~ I have been a long time subscriber of yours and look forward to enjoying your blog everyday
Hugs ~ Dorinda
Just a wee bit Irish! Irish Soda Bread is my favorite, I have been making the recipe you posted a few years ago, it is wonderful. Susie
Mary, the only Irish dish I’ve had is Corned Beef and cabbage, but I love it! Your recipes are inspiring me to try the beef stew and others. Thanks for offering this giveaway, what a sweet table runner! This inspires me to decorate for St Patrick’s Day. I’m sharing your post with a dear Irish friend. She is hosting our Bunco group in March and would love all the inspiration here!
Hi Mary- Love your blog and ideas. My favorite Irish dish would be Potato Soup, Irish Soda Bread with Irish Butter and Irish Aged Cheddar Cheese. I also pinned your Cabbage Flower Arrangement. Thank you for the giveaway. XOXO Shirin
Thank You for all the delicious sounding irish recepies! My favorite for St. Patricks Day is Corned Beef & Cabbage! Long time subscriber. Pat
Hi Mary- My favorite Irish dish is Potato Soup, Irish Soda Bread with Irish Butter and Aged White Cheddar. I loved the Cabbage Flower Arrangement and pinned it too. Thanks for the giveaway and love your blog. XOXO Shirin
I have always thought I was a “wee” bit Irish although my family’s genealogy would disagree. My favorite Irish food is Irish stew but it might be replaced by the apple cake you shared. I think this year instead of making something Irish for dinner on the 17th I am going to have Irish week so I can try all your recipes. I love the table runner and I think I pinned it on Pinterest but technology isn’t always my friend. Have a great day and thanks for your blog. It is the start of many of my days.
Good morning. Favorite Irish food would be Irish Soda Bread. Where we raised our children, there were a lot of big, Irish Catholic families and one neighbor always made loaves for all the neighborhood. At block parties, we would sing around a piano at the end of the night with these joyful or sad Irish songs and one man had the most beautiful Irish tenor voice. Lucky enough to have gone to Ireland. What a spectacularly beautiful country with people who are warm and friendly like none other. Yes, I am a wannabe. Going to send this to my kids for food ideas. I pinned 15 photos to my St. Paddy’s Day. I have my cards all ready to send. Thank you for the lovely post.
Mary, Your St Patrick’s Day compilation has so many wonderful ideas. Your table runner is gorgeous. You always set such pretty tables and offer delicious recipes. My favorite Irish food is potato soup. Thanks for sharing. Clara ❤️
I attended culinary school in Ireland and when I returned to the United States I missed the wonderful Irish soda Bread the most. It is still my favorite. I wish we could buy some of the Irish flours here for specialty baking. Thank you for the delightful article and inspiration.
Mary, each one of your posts outdoes the other. What a fabulous treat for the eyes. My mouth is watering with all of this delicious food. I want to try to make the some of the recipes. I also like you on Facebook and get your emails. My husband is Irish. My favorite Irish food is a boiled dinner. “May joy and peace surround you, contentment latch your door, and happiness be with you now and bless you evermore!”
Hi Mary, I am lucky enough to be part Irish. I celebrate St Patrick’s Day each year with Irish Nachos. Yes, you guessed it – they are made with potatoes! I make potato chips or flats instead of using tortilla chips and add plenty of cheese and other fixings.
Hi Mary thank you for sharing all of your beautiful table scapes and recipes my favorite Irish food would have to be Irish potato soup looking forward to trying your recipe.
Hi again Mary I also pinned one of your beautiful bouquets the bleak cottage teapot centerpiece I absolutely love it.
Correction: Belleek Cottage Teapot LOL my talk to text spelled Belleek incorrectly : )
Beautiful post for St Patrick’s Day. My favorite food is potatoes! I pinned your post onto Pinterest. Thanks for taking the time to create such a beautiful blog.
Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration Mary. I love, love the color green and so that’s why I love Shamrocks and all your beautiful photos. Irish Soda Bread is my favorite Irish food and I have always soaked my currents in Irish Whiskey, just as your recipe calls for. The whiskey adds a wonderful depth of flavor to the bread. I make a few batches for my family every year, some like it with the caraway seeds and others don’t so I make it both ways. The runner with the shamrocks is gorgeous, it would look beautiful on our dining room table. Thanks so much for the giveaway and for sharing so much beauty and yumminess with us.
Mary, that runner is just gorgeous! Since I won’t win can you give us a source? as far as the food goes I love Irish stew, potato soup and need to make the popcorn for my grandson. Thanks for all the beauty and fun ideas that you provide for us.
Thank you Joan, I found the runner on Amazon and the link is at the bottom of the post, you can just click over via the photo: https://amzn.to/2P29k9S ♣
Ugh, I hate your compilations first thing in the morning, every recipe makes me extra hungry! Now I feel the need to bake cookies for breakfast, washed down with liquor for a rather difficult start to my gardening day, I use power tools out there! I need to visit you at more appropriate eating and drinking hours 😉
Top of the morning Mary, my favorite Irish dinner hands down is corned beef with carrots, onions, and potatoes cooked in the crockpot. When I return home from work, I pour the juice off of the meat and veggies, into a boiler, and cook my cabbage in those juices. My second favorite Irish dinner is Guinness Beef on top of Colcannon cabbage. Thank you for bringing such joy to us. Mary M
My favorite food for St. Patty’s this year will be my own home grown cabbage! I am so excited since this is the first time I have ever tried to grow cabbage and have two beautiful plants that survived the terrible leaf eating bugs. I am a rank novice gardener so this is a biggie for me! We will have home grown cabbage with our corned beef!
My favorite Irish food is Corned Beef and Cabbage. For many years my family has celebrated our Irishmess with a meal of corned beef, Jamison, soda bread,Bailey’s and love. For the longest time, my now teenage grandson was convinced he was a leprechaun!
Loved seeing all the beautiful Belleek! I too have a collection!
My favorite food for St. Patrick’s day is soda bread. For years, I had students/siblings from an Irish family who would gift me a round each year. Delicious with fresh butter!
I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved dog. My dear Winston Maltese passed last year. I join you in your sorrow.
Irish potato soup with the soda bread – yum! I’m a long time subscriber and I pinned the Brownie Trifles and home made Irish cream recipe – pinned the cupcake recipe last year, along with some of your tablescapes. Love it!
thank you for the beautiful pics & inspiration. My favorite St. Patrick’s Day food (& everyday) is beef & cabbage.
St. Patrick’s Day has been on my mind too Mary, and all your beautiful photos and nibbles have really gotten me in the mood! Time to get out the green! Whoever wins that gorgeous table runner will be lucky indeed!! I don’t know what my favorite Irish dish is, but I sure would like to dig in to one of those brownie parfaits! ☘️☘️☘️
Jenna
My husband and meself are Irish. My husband’s mother was full Irish, father 1/2 and St Patrick’s day my father-in-law brought her a bouquet of Green Carnations, and she had the whole family over for Cornbeef, potatoes and Cabbage and the local store in St Louis made french bread in the shape of snakes. We still keep the tradition of that meal in their memory.
I pull out my beautiful Irish China plate set for all of March, would love to add your pretty runner 🤞 🍀
Good Morning! My late husband was Irish and we married on St. Patrick’s day ! I love the Irish Soda Bread and Corned Beef! Yummy! Love this beautiful memory by the post on your blog. I still hold St. Patrick’s day close to my heart. I decorate my house now and continue to decorate my precious neighbors house, outside, for the holiday. It was a tradition of Tom and I, to decorate their house. Tom has been gone for almost 17 years and I still love to “surprise” Mike and Betty with the sneaky Leprechaun decorating!
I am a subscriber and happy to be one!
I pinned one of your delightful photos!
I love all the green. You are right we all wish we were Irish.
My favorite Irish food is Beef stew with Guinness and Irish scones, though not together. Thanks for the giveaway!
And I’m a subscriber!
Love all Irish foods but Soda bread is my favorite. Thank you for all the yummy recipes.Suzanne
My favorite Irish food is that KerryGold Irish butter! Oh my goodness, it is delicious! I would say my favorite prepared dish is Shepherd’s Pie. (I think the Irish may make theirs with lamb, but I make mine with beef.) Thanks Mary!!!
I love the lovely tablescape. I think St Patrick’s Day is as much a first sign of spring for me as the forsythia bush. My favorite Irish dish is not technically a dish, Kerrygold Irish butter, but I do love it on everything. I know it is hard for bloggers to imagine but I have not decorated for the seasons in the past two years. However, this post has inspired me to go “shopping” through my house and storage for all things green. After all, we are a little Irish.
Irish Apple Cake is a favorite at our house. Loved all the pictures – thanks for sponsoring the give-away.
Sheila
My Irish favorites are mulligatawny soup and colcannon and corned beef.
I am a subscriber.
I pinned the shamrock appetizers. YUM.
I love Irish Potato Soup (any soup really). I’m going to try the Stout Mac ‘n Cheese, the husband and I love Guinness. Chances are I won’t get away without making corned beef, cabbage and potatoes on the big day though. Thanks for all the recipes. Always love the green cabbage plates and what appears to be a Belleek honey pot! Oh yes! Really love that!
Pinned to Pinterest. Beautiful photos throughout your post!
I love a corned beef and cabbage dinner!
I am shocked, truly, at all of the cool stuff Amazon has that relates to St. Patrick;s Day. Thanks for all of those wonderful links. You can probably put money down on that Maserati that you’ve been looking at. LOL! Facorite St. Pat’s food is the corned beef!
Pinned!

My favorite Irish food to eat is a nice bowl of pipping hot Irish Stew. Always warms the soul! This year I will be making your Lucky popcorn mix for my college age children. What a fun surprise that will be when they go to their mail box! Thank you for all the inspiration!!

All the recipes and pictures look so good that it’s difficult to pick a favorite, I envy all the beautiful dishes in your collection. I hope I have the luck of the Irish and win the runner. Your blog has helped me get through these isolated days. Thank You

Hello Mary! Wow, you are tugging on heart strings of this Irish Gal, what a post! I always look forward to your Irish Post and the recipes, which I have tried a few. What a lovely Irish Table Linen. If my Irish Luck brings forth this Table Runner, it will go to my Son and his girlfriend. They bought a home last year and I passed along my handmade dining table. Corned beef and cabbage
Corned Beef Boxty is my favorite Irish food! It can be hard to find even on Irish restaurant menus! I’m looking for a good recipe to make it myself!
My favorite is toasted Irish soda bread with butter along side a cup of Irish breakfast tea.
Mary, The timing of your post was perfect. I just finished taking down and packing away all the Valentine things in preparation for beginning my Saint Patrick’s Day decoration. We will not be able to host our long standing annual Saint Patrick’s Day dinner party, but we will still have a small celebration. The table runner is lovely and would be something different for the table. After 40 plus years of celebrating the day, I could use something new and different. I know you will come up with a spectacular new table this year and look forward to which direction you will travel. Thanks, MM

What a lovely table runner. The Irish are know for their beautiful linens. I remember some of the linens my Grandmother brought with her when she came to the US from Ireland. Sadly, none of them exist any longer. To celebrate my Irish heritage I love some Baileys cream with some good old fashion Beef stew.
Hi Mary,
Is there any chance you have a link for purchase of the statuary of the fairy holding a bird? It is so adorable, and the perfect addition to a centerpiece. I was looking for inspiration for a new St. Patrick’s Day centerpiece, and you truly delivered!
All of your recipes look amazing and make for a fun week of St. Patrick’s celebration. The pesto four-leaf clovers are a must-try this year, and it’s still chilly enough for warm stew. Definitely not a good idea to read this blog post right before dinner time, when I’m hungry and have nothing homemade at the ready; however I’m certainly filled with inspiration!
Hi Betsy! Unfortunately no, the fairy statuary was a piece from my retail days 20+ years ago and the company is no longer in business. Thank you for your visits and comments! ♥
Hi Mary!
I would love a chance at the runner. All my St. Patrick’s things were packed up for the move so I won’t be seeing them till next year.
I love Irish Soda bread, usually make 10 loaves a week to gift. I also love Leek and Potato Soup.
Hope you are well, thanks for the chance!

Thanks Mary for the awesome round-up of great recipes. I need to make the humus and avocado recipe again, it is so good! Really enjoyed the beef stew and the mac and cheese too. Yum!

Mary, long time subscriber and pinned several things like the floral arrangement. I grew up with “Irish” potato soup. Mom used the dried beef in a jar in her recipe, but it doesn’t taste the same today. I love corned beef and cabbage. Somehow corned beef tastes better on March 17th.
That runner is pretty awesome. You just reminded me to get out my ceramic cabbage to add to the St Patrick’s decor.

That was just as delicious! Thank you for the opportunity to win this lovely table runner! And, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! 🍀
Anything potatoes I love! Key Lime Cheesecake would be a delicious green dessert too.

Top of the Mornin’ to you Mary. I tried your Irish Stew & Soda Bread recipe about a week ago after you published it in the “Chasing Away the Winter Blues” recipe. It was divine. My husband loved it. Love your blog and especially your sweet dogs. I had a Bichon named Sophie who we sadly lost after having her nearly 15 years. Thanks for all you do to bring us joy.

Getting ready to decorate my home so many thanks for the decor ideas for St. Patrick’s Day. Our favorite Irish recipe is the Irish Apple Cake. We look forward to having for dessert and afternoon tea.

Wow! That’s a boatload of comments. Good morning Mary. Good, old-fashioned Corned Beef and cabbage, with potatoes and carrots are my faves, or maybe the corned beef is just a vehicle to get creamed horseradish to m y mouth. Love it all.
I made your Irish Beef Stew (substituted lamb) and Irish Soda Bread last St. Patrick’s Day and both were a hit. In my opinion, you can’t have one without the other! Love the table runner.
I posted a pic of the beautiful table runner on Pinterest.

Any type of potato…potato soup, fench fries, scalloped, au gratin, cheesy potatoes, twice baked, and baked. Hehe. I also enjoyed your beef stew and the avocado humus, need to make that again. I have pinned the runner, it’s so pretty with all of the shamrocks and the cut outs. I’ve pinned the darling green and white belleck pot with bees and have put it on my Amazon list also. Thanks Mary! Slow oven roasted Guinness corned beef with cabbage, onion, potatoe, & carrots is a favorite but you can’t beat a good old fashioned Irish stew
