Find the easy steps to make a No-Sew Bunny Pillow for Easter. A fun craft project for anybunny, no sewing skills required!
Happy or ‘Hoppy’ Thursday! I have an easy craft project with Easter on its way!
This decorative bunny pillow is an easy and fun project! If you can trace a pattern and have an iron, you can make a bunny pillow, no sewing skills required.

To start you’ll need a pillow cover. I used an 18 x 18 inch pillow cover I picked up at Hobby Lobby, which was 50% off the week I was there. You can also find affordable pillow covers on Amazon.
You’ll also need some fusible web (I used Wonder Under), some fabric and a bunny template.
I found my clip art bunny template, HERE. Adjust your template to the size desired and print it out. I experimented with sizes and enlarged the bunny to 118% so I could fit two on my pillow. After I decided on the size, I printed the bunny on a piece of card stock to make it easier to trace around.
Press your fabric and pillow cover with an iron, removing any wrinkles or creases.
Cut a piece of Wonder Under (or fusible web of choice) to the size of your fabric. Follow the package directions to fuse it to the wrong side of your fabric. Wonder Under’s directions say to press for 5 – 8 seconds with hot, dry iron. It took several passes with my iron to fuse the webbing. Let it cool.
Trace your template on the paper backing, (I did mirror images) and cut out your bunnies.
I decided to add some decorative eggs for Easter with my *eggs-tra* ;) fabric. I used my Easter egg cookie cutters as templates, tracing the shapes.
After your Wonder Under is fused and cooled, gently peel off the paper backing. Place the fusible web side down on your pillow cover and position your bunnies and eggs as desired. I fused the bunnies first, then positioned the eggs so the multiple pieces would be less likely to shift.
Wonder Under’s directions say to cover with damp press cloth and with your iron on the wool setting, press firmly for 10 – 15 seconds. Repeat, lifting and overlapping iron until fabric was fused. Remove press cloth and iron to eliminate excess moisture.
Full disclosure: I had a bit of trouble peeling the paper backing off my fabric, especially the eggs. While trying to separate the paper backing from the fabric, the edges frayed a bit, so I trimmed the frayed edges with the scissors before fusing the eggs to my pillow cover.
I found a pompom garland at Target to coordinate with my fabric for the bunny tails. I already had the pillow insert but if you need one you can find them on Amazon,HERE.
To keep this pillow ‘no-sew’, use a glue gun with a low melt glue stick or fabric glue to attach pompoms to the pillow for the bunny tails. Alternatively, use a needle and thread to attach the pompoms to the pillow if you prefer.
After attaching the pompoms to the bunny tails, I decided to add a pompom to each pillow corner.

What a great idea!
Mary, that pillow is SO cute! I all for not sewing, so this is right up my alley. I have never used this Wonder Under and I am so impressed with how neat and tidy this works. Your selection of fabric and pattern was great! Happy Easter to you! I hope spring has sprung up on the lake and things are starting to bloom!
Super cute. I love your choice of fabric combinations. I’ve been cleaning out closets (again) and have so many pillow forms stashed and smashed both in our condo and my storage units. I might try this for my daughter’s nursery!
You had me at “no sew.” This is adorable. Thanks for the wonderful instructions, template, and links. This is doable!
What a darling pillow, Mary. Since, I don’t sew this is perfect. I love your fabric selection and the pom poms are so cute!
We are in the path of severe weather with long tracking tornadoes again today, spring is here in the Deep South! Happy Thursday!
Very cute idea! To my horror I realized I don’t even own an iron! So much for personal upkeep… I’m starting to yearn for personal play time, been getting 4 trucks a day of mulch, all I do is try to keep up spreading it daily for weeks, I can’t look a gift horse in the mouth because I may not get it again for ages, but I don’t even have time to dead head daffodils much less have a fun spring decorative fling! I love this idea, wish I had seen this before I bought my Easter pillows that I have no time to play with!
Mary, Your pillow is adorable! The striped pillow cover and floral fabric are beautifully paired. Love the pom poms! Wonder under is amazing. Thanks for this cute idea. We’re having severe weather today so you’ll probably get it tomorrow. I don’t think our yard can absorb much more water. Enjoy your day sweet friend. Clara ❤️
Love it🐇 Happy Easter
Well, this IS the cutest “no sew” I’ve seen in ages!!! Just “my style”…So, off I go…luv it!! franki

What an adorable and creative way to dress up a pillow cover! I’ve seen them at Hobby Lobby but would have never thought to enhance them this way! Thanks for the inspiration! You rock!
Cute! Cute! Cute! I only sew on May1st. (that’s a joke I have with my sweet man) So I really like the idea of not sewing!

Mary, a great way to personalize a ready made pillow! It is the cutest project for a spring refresh for the home.

Happy spring!
What a pretty pillow cover for Easter! I’ve pinned it! I love the colors.
What a delightful, creative way to brighten your little rabbit hutch, oops , I mean porch! Hehe. The floral print is perfect for the bunnies and the pompom bunny tails give it the added touch of oomph! Year’s ago when I made a sweater- type- jacket out of a sweatshirt, I used wonder under to applique various designs and and it was great to work with. Thank you for another fun project! Just think you could do a fun 4th of July pillow also! Or one for each holiday! Great gift idea too! 😉
P.S. The other day I purchased some pretty colorful spring flowers and made (your) my vase within a vase jelly bean and marshmallow rabbit floral centerpiece. It’s so cute on my kitchen table and brings a smile and warm thoughts of you! Happy Easter, Happy Spring Mary! ♥️🐥🐇🐑🌼🌸
Mary, your bunny pillow is so cute! I love the floral fabric and colored pom poms. It looks great against the neutral striped background. I’ve never worked with Wonder Under before…I’m definitely going to give it a try! Thanks for sharing the great tutorial. It was fun crafting with you :) Happy Easter!
Mary, thank you so much for the great tutorial! Now I know what to do with some adorable fabric remnants that I can’t seem to part with!
Such a cool idea Mary…i also have “stored pillow inserts” so this would be a clever way to utilize them. No sew is right up my alley too, although I do like to sew…I love your fabrics,,,so cute

My granddaughter will love this project when she’s a bit older next year. I just returned home from a whirlwind trip around Vermont to deliver Easter “Horns of Plenty” as my son-in-law called them. All the grandkids and my cousin were all thrilled with them, and the Bunny Bark. So fun to make! Next time I might try putting down an extra layer of white chocolate first then the chocolate grahams and then the top layer of almond chocolate so the grahams are encased in the chocolate. It was really fun to put all these together! Thanks so much for the inspiration, the recipes and for helping make my grandkids (and cousin) have a happy day. Happy Easter to you!
Sooo cute!!! Thank you for sharing!!
