Happy Monday! Welcome to a special edition of Monday Morning Blooms!
Lidy, Pam, Shirley and I are excited to share some flower therapy today in the form of a beautiful new book from the editors of Victoria Magazine:
Victoria: The Art of Flowers, the latest hardcover book from the editors of Victoria magazine, invites readers to savor quiet moments amid nature’s most cherished gifts: flowers.
Divided into three enticing sections, this exquisitely photographed volume offers page after page of floral pageantry. Beginning with “Scents and Sensibility,” we celebrate the romantic charms of beloved blossoms. Scattered among gorgeous images, find helpful guidelines for growing and displaying such favorites as roses, tulips, and peonies. “A Gardener’s Palette” provides inspiration for developing a signature scheme, whether highlighting a single hue or showcasing a vibrant array of colors.
Discover a treasure trove in “Bountiful Bouquets,” a section brimming with ideas for creating glorious arrangements. Along with a medley of the California floral designer’s prettiest posies, find a variety of other stylists’ expressions in centerpieces ideal for gracing the table, adorning a guest room, or adding interest to the veranda. Wherever they are placed, these fresh and lovely accents lend a breath of life to their surroundings.
I preordered this book back in February and was eagerly anticipating its release! It did not disappoint and I was thrilled to learn we had the opportunity to share it with you for a giveaway, thank you Lidy. :) It would make a beautiful addition to your library or gift for a fellow flower enthusiast, gardener or ‘Mom’ for Mother’s Day! I chose a few favorite pages from the book to share.
In “Gleanings from the Garden”, you’ll meet Erin Benzakein, leading farmer florist in the United States and owner of Floret Flower Farm in Washington’s Skagit Valley.
Feast your eyes on the beauty and ‘Bountiful Bouquets’. . .one featuring tulips. . .
Ranunculus and hydrangea. . .
And wisteria.
I love this hanging wreath incorporating cabbage tulips, bridal wreath spirea and stock . . .
As well as this pretty-in-pink spring wreath with sweet bird’s nest.
And I was smitten with these posy arrangements with tags expressing the significance of each floral ingredient in the language of flowers.
As well as the chapter on “Creative Containers”. . .
In celebration of spring flowers, Victoria / Hoffman Media has provided each of us with a book to give away to one reader!

Simply beautiful…the book looks amazing. Hard to choose just one flower but I love hydrangeas. These beauties give so much please while blooming and then after they fade and dry they remind us their beauty might have faded but they can be used again!
Mary, the book looks fabulous. I’d love to get my hands on a copy and sit down with it (and a glass of wine) and just drool over the pictures!
There are many flowers I love, depending on the season, but gardenias have to take first place.
This looks like a great book. Love hydrangeas
Thank you for the offer. I work with flowers at our church and lately have been “knee deep” in them from Easter and then two weddings.I couldn’t possibly pick one favorite. I love almost all flowers but favorites are roses, freesia (what a scent!), hydrangea and peonies. I follow Pam on Pinterest and I am not sure if I follow you but I will now go and do so. I often pin your photos from the email I receive. Thank you again!
I will, if I don’t already, follow Victoria magazine on Instagram and Facebook. I am sure I already do on instagram because I see lovely pictures there every day. They put together beautiful books too. All of you girls could be photographers for them.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful book! The pages you shared are so gorgeous!! I would love to win a copy for myself and this book is the perfect gift for my sister who is a gardener and creates the most gorgeous bouquets from your garden. Following Victoria Magazine on FB. My favorite flowers are gardenias as I love their fragrance and they remind me of my childhood summers when we would visit my grandmother. Thank for the chance to win Mary!
Good Morning, Mary! I am a new fan! We have many things in common starting with the retail experience! I do love the Lily of the Valley because it reminds me of my family home where I live with my husband. They continue to appear each May year after year near my garden shed and kitchen garden. These delicate beauties are reminiscent of days gone by. My parents picking them and placing them in the same crystal vase and then putting them on the kitchen windowsill is forever etched in my memory. Their beauty and delicate fragrance brings renewal and peace to my heart and mind.
I’m bowled over by the beauty in this book! Your photo framing the cover with flowers is a stunner! If I had to pick one flower I would say it was sunflowers! Following on FB and you on Pinterest.
I love Roses, I follow you on Pinterest and Victoria on Instagram. Thanks for the giveaway!
Honestly, your arrangements rival any I’ve seen…and, I’ve seen many. Starting w/my grandmother, mother, aunt and now my daughter. Some of my peonies are over a century in age…flowers are timeless. Thank you for sharing the beauty. franki
Oh my goodness, how can I pick one flower…daisies, sunflowers, roses, cock’s comb, gardenias, the list goes on and on but if I must – a simple white daisy always makes me smile. I love the pictures you shared and would love to browse this book. Happy day to all.
The arrangements and styling creat art in the new Victoria Book. Thank you for sharing. Simply inspirational. Blue hydrangeas, Lupine, larkspur, cosmos, and big double David Austin Roses are just a few of my favorite flowers

I have been pouring over your beautiful photos and can see the joy you had styling your photographs with all the fabulous real blooms…so much painting inspiration! I am fickle in my flower loving, in the spring my favorite is tulips, in the summer, hydrangeas and hibiscus, in the fall, sunflowers and in the winter amaryllis, and all year long it’s roses…but I love them all! Thank you for the incredible eye candy and inspirations, I will be dreaming of flowers all day!
Jenna
Hi Mary ~ wow it’s so hard to pick a few flower favorites! I really love nearly all flowers. Since my sweet Grandmother is the one who inspired me to plant flowers I will choose a few that make me think of her, Peony, Wisteria, Snapdragons, Zinnias and Dahlias. Thank you for offering such a lovely giveaway ! Hugs, Dorinda
What an awesome book, the pages you have highlighted look lovely! I know you are totally enjoying each and every page so I will continue to glean my floral inspiration from you Mary, as you always have awesome arrangements with all of your floral presentations. I will pass on this giveaway as I am still enjoying my lovely St. Patrick’s table runner. I have decided to keep it out in celebration of spring with it’s beautiful stiching of shamrocks and the delicate cut-outs. Again, thank you Mary, I love it and am so proud to display my lovely gift from you! ♥️☘🌾🌸 Good luck to all those who enter.
Hi Mary ~ I follow Victoria magazine on Instagram
Oooooh…I love the Victoria Magazine…I discovered it in my Early 20s (almost 30 years later from then) and still have some of the issues from back then. My fave flowers are Sunflowers and hydrangeas (even though I still haven’t figured out a way to keep them alive yet)
Hi Mary ~ I have followed you on Pinterest for a long time and love it !
The pictures that you shared from the book look like you made the arrangements and designed the settings, Mary! These days, I’m really loving carnations for their longevity in keeping me happy. I do love the beauty of hydrangeas and roses, though. Every flower is an amazing creation of God!
Mary, thank you for another lovely giveaway…but I won’t enter this one…I have sooo many floral books…therefore, I’ll leave this for someone else…but the pictures you show are gorgeous! All of your arrangements are beautiful!!! But I will tell you my favorite flowers are Zinnias, Hydrangeas, Lavendar and sooo many more!! Again, thank you and GOOD LUCK to everyone!! 🌷🌺🌼🌸🌹🌻
So beautiful! My favorite flower is the hydrangea. I’m in NC also and have started them in my semi shade garden by my she shed.
Swoon Mary! How delightful your artful presentation of The Art of Flowers by Victoria Magazine is! I love each illustration and how you framed them with flowers and greenery.
So beautiful!
Where to start? Peonies, tulips in pastels, ranunculas, alstromeria, carns, mini carns, roses, lilacs and everything in between! I love all flowers.
This book is BREATHTAKING! It just suits my love for flowers ! Daffodils are my favorite, I have managed to get over 250 different plants in the ground over the weekend! My biggest undertaking so far. We just added a new SHE SHED for my craft workshop…..so, lots of planting going on here! And boy, my hands are suffering today for sure! Thank as always for your delightful inspiration !
This book is stunning! What a gift (To win or to purchase!) I am downsizing from my mother’s home which I purchased after her death) and multiple gardens to a senior home with dear little rooms and amenities, but no gardens. My garden books will be my “gardens.” Thank you for all of your beautiful posts.
In my younger days I absolutely despised hydrangeas. A neighbor gave me a bush one day and I HAD to plant it. I kept hoping it would die but it was happy and thrived. Now it is my favorite flower and I have them planted everywhere. Funny how one’s floral taste can change over the years.
What a wonderful way to start a Monday! Just fills the soul! Dad used to grow ranunculus and each year, when they were at their peak, Dad would cut these and put a vase of these beauties in my bedroom and a vase on the dining room table for Mom. So when I see ranunculus, they always remind me of his gentle, kind spirit. Yes, ranunculus are my favorite flowers.
Thank you for the chance to win this gorgeous book. Because my home town (Gloucester, VA) is considered the daffodil capital, I’d have to choose daffodils as my favorite flower. We have a daffodil festival every spring and acres and acres of daffodils that create a vision of golden loveliness. A close second would be peonies. Thanks again!
Hydrangeas and Peonies…and then whatever is in bloom. I’m following Victoria on Instagram and you on Pinterest.
Thought the comment above very interesting that pictures are forged in the book.
Mary, another wonderful post and give way. I would love to win this book. I follow you and Victoria on all the sites mentioned. My favorite flower is the Rose….although I have never met a flower I didn’t love…Protea is another favorite….Have a wonderful day and keep up the amazing post that you always do.

My top favorites are Peonies and Mimosas But difficult to find where I live but i enjoy lilacs and sunflowers. I subscribe to Victoria and would enjoy that book
What a lovely prize to win. All of Victoria’s books are so well done. The Art of Flowers may be it’s most glorious publication thus far, and one I would definitely like to have sit on my coffee table.. I love all varieties of flowers, though perhaps roses and lavender are my favorites as I have many of both growing in abundance in my garden. Thank you for the opportunity to possibly win a copy of this lovely book.
Mary, I have many of the Victoria publications, so I will most certainly want to add this one. I equate your blog posts to the pages of a fine published book such as Victoria publications. Your styling here is impeccable every time. Wonderful giveaway! Thank you!
What a beautiful book and I am sure you are enjoying each and every page! The pictures that you have highlighted are breathtaking. I will pass on this giveaway as I am still enjoying my St. Patrick’s runner with the lovely shamrock stitching and the delicate cutouts. I am keeping it out in honor of spring and am proud to display this gift from you Mary. I will continue to glean my floral inspirations from you, as every one that you present is stellar and always a joy to view, you could create your own book. 😉
Thanks again Mary, and good luck to all who enter. ♥️☘🌼🌾🌸
I followed you on Instagram to enter the giveaway because I would love to give the book to my mother for Mother’s Day.
Love every picture. . . .roses are my favorite & peonies a close second. Looks like I could spend a day just looking at the photos. Your cut flowers just framed these photos. I will follow the Victoria Mag Instagram & I think but will doublecheck I follow you Mary on Pinterest. Gorgeous book.
It would be impossible to pick a favorite flower, LOL! I think I would say zinnias, sunflowers, hydrangeas, and delphiniums would be at the very top of my list. What a beautiful book! Thank you for the great giveaway, and good luck to everyone.
Lovely, lovely ideas and photos of flowers & flower arranging!
My favorite flower is the larkspur (any color!).
I am following Victoria Magazine on instagram & following you on both Instagram and Pinterest.
Peonies are my favorite, although they are not easy to grow in Texas. I have been a subscriber of Victoria magazine for many years and now am “liking” it on Facebook. I have also followed you on Pinterest for quite a while. Love flowers, and love this book.
What a pretty book! My favorite flowers are roses and hydrangeas. I tried growing a Limelight hydrangea last year, but I think my climate may be too hot and dry for it, boo-hoo! I just started following you on Pinterest and now following Victoria magazine on IG! Can’t wait to see photos of your spring garden.
I just cant pick a favorite – I love all flowers! This years goal is to bring in a fresh bouquet from the garden weekly. I would love a copy of this beautiful book for inspiration – really fun ideas that Mary has showcased for us. Happy gardening everyone!

Best wishes to everyone.
I love the stunning photos in this new book on flowers and would love to add it to my collection. My goal in my next house is to have year-around flowers in my garden. I’m fortunate to live in California so this is possible.
I forgot to mention my favorite flower. How to decide…I adore peonies! I also love dahlias for their variety and constant blooms, and ranunculas, well just because they are so beautiful. I always look forward to seeing the surprises in each new post.

Gorgeous photo styling Mary as always! Favorite flower is surprisingly carnations..for I work with wedding flowers and they are so long lasting when tucked into an arrangement. Martha Stewart calls them one of her favs too!
Good Morning Mary. I love all flowers, but my all time spring favorite is the pansy or johnnie jump up…I have photos because I love taking photos of my garden.
I love so many flowers but guess I’ll claim that peonies are my favorite – probably because my one plant has 5 buds on it now! I follow you on Pinterest and have added many of your posts to mine!
I love all the new colors of zinnias. So easy to arrange a bouquet . I believe everyone loves hydrangeas.
Hi Mary,
My favorite flower is the Annabelle Hydrangea. It does so well in our windy climate here in the Texas Panhandle! I love making wreaths out of the lime green dried blooms for friends and neighbors. I follow you on Instagram and Pinterest…….Love it!

Mary, what a great opportunity Victoria has afforded you gals! Even though I no longer cultivate my flowers, I still love the bearded purple iris that were an heirloom variety in my garden. I just wish they lasted longer. Lucky for me, my daughter’s transplants are thriving in their 3rd year. I spent the latter part of last week at my sister’s in Cincinnati and she always has the most beautiful floral arrangements – new ones each week, and from her own garden when in season. This would make a wonderful gift for her that I may buy as an appreciation. Of course I follow you on Pinterest, and am following Victoria on Facebook. Thank you for being an integral part of the Monday Morning Blooms – they are truly inspiring creativity.
Pink peonies are my favorites!!! Beautiful book. Following Victoria on Instagram and you on all formats of social media. Thanks for the chance to win.
Mary, This looks like a simply lovely book and one I know will offer many wonderful inspirations for flower lovers like myself. I simply can’t pick just one favorite flower. How can we not love the first flowers of spring, daffodils and tulips? And soon after there are lilacs and lily of the valley and peonies. Later in the summer there are roses and sweet peas and all kinds of garden flowers. For myself, it is impossible to select just one favorite. I appreciate that my chances of winning are slim, but I can hope.
Thank you, Marie
What a wonderful book! I love Lilacs, falling in love with them after my bedroom, as a kid, was over a large lilac bush. In the spring their lovely fragrance would waft into my room.
My favorite flowers are tulips!
