Happy Monday! Pull up a chair and join me at the table for a little lakeside dining!
We’ve enjoyed some beautiful spring weather the past couple of weeks despite ‘the pollening’. . .
Azaleas are in bloom along with snowball viburnum. . .
The only snowballs you want to see in April!
I cut some viburnum, azaleas and Lady Banks rose for a centerpiece for the table. . .
Lady Banks Rose, Rosa banksiae ‘Lutea’, is a vigorous climber and prolific bloomer in early spring with deep green foliage on thornless, slender branches.
It grows in USDA Hardiness zones 6 – 9. I highly recommend planting one if you live within those zones! If you don’t know your garden zone, you can look it up by zipcode, HERE.
The garden blooms fill an ironstone pitcher for a loose and casual arrangement for the table.
White washed terracotta pot napkin rings add a nod to gardening season paired with floral print napkins. . .
I tucked in a sprig of Lady Banks rose in the napkin rings so they appear sprouting from the pots.
Johnson Brothers ‘Sheraton’ is a perennial favorite in my garden of dishes. . .
Along with Garden Bouquet by Johnson Brothers, another blooming favorite.
A Ralph Lauren Antibes floral red tablecloth provides a foundation for a spring tablescape with colorful bouquets of flowers.

We’re warming up with temperatures reaching the mid 80’s this week.
Hope you’re enjoying some beautiful spring weather where you are. ♥
Thank you for your visit, sharing with:
Your azaleas are beautiful Mary! Enjoy all that great color:@)
Those little planter pot napkin rings are “da bomb!” Gosh, that’s neat. I just have never had success w/roses…seeing “the Lady”…I may have to “try again.” Just stunning!! franki
Thank you Franki! You should give Lady Banks a try. It’s very low maintenance other than some pruning :)
Thank you Lynn! Hope you’re enjoying some beautiful spring weather in Philly! ♥
Azaleas with snowballs – unique combination, but it works

So pretty! Its still cold here, between Boston & Cape Cod. The tulips are just opening now. I cant wait for my flowers to bloom!
Hi Donna, I hope spring arrives soon in your neck of the woods. Thank you for your visit ♥
Beautiful blooming table, Mary. Our azaleas were nipped by the frost as was my snowball viburnum. What a lovely setting by the lake and a beautiful start to my day. Happy Monday!
Thank you Pam, Happy Monday! Enjoy those sweet girls and take your vitamins! ;) ♥
Romantic English countryside in the Carolinas.
Thank you for your visit and comment Ellen. Happy Monday! ♥
So gorgeous Mary, your flower arrangement matches the scenery and tablecloth so beautifully! You have been blessed with an abundance of blooms this Spring! Sounds like a lovely weather week in the South, perfect for gardening and al fresco dining!
Thank you Jenna! I saw where it was going to be almost 90 on Wednesday in AL, stay cool :) ♥
Mary, I’d love to see a post sometime about where and how you store your dishes and all your linens. Another lovely table! The flower pot napkin rings are adorable!
Thank you Kim! ♥
Your Azaleas are absolutely stunning as are the other flowering plants and shrubs. Tables are so pretty and they make me want to enjoy a nice meal there. Have a sunshiny day!
Thanks so much for your visit and comment Carolyn! Happy Monday ♥
Mary, A seat at your beautiful table is delightful! The view is gorgeous! Thanks for the wonderful post. Clara❤️
Thanks so much Clara! I imagine it’s warming up in your neck of the woods this week too. Happy Monday ♥
Yes, it is. Today was 81. We’re going to have rain for a few days but we’re ready for consistently warm weather so we can plant our seeds and stop covering the bulbs we planted. We’re ready for lots of blooms! Enjoy your evening. Clara❤️
Love starting my days with flowers! Gorgeous setting, loved the lighting with dappled sun. Cold morning here, your pics are just the boost I need to get going!
I know you’re enjoying your garden walks and all those beautiful spring blooms in your lush CA garden! ♥
OH Mary like always your table and floral arrangement is lovely. So much talent I always eagerly await your posts. Lake Norman seems sublime, and the pooches always bring a smile to my face. Thank you for sharing your gifts.
Thank you so much for your visit and sweet comment Shelley! Happy Monday ♥
LOVE the napkin rings!!! Did you make them? Wondering how I can attempt that ….yesterday I hosted a luncheon for 12 on the porch …..SO wishing I had thought of that. The table is beautiful !
Hi Lou Ann, No I purchased them at HomeGoods several years ago.:) I imagine you could use a drill to carefully enlarge the holes in the bottom of the pots to make a set of napkin rings. Thank you for your visit and comment ♥
I so love that pattern, I have a few pieces here and there! Lovely weather and flowers…our tulips won’t open it’s been so cold. Now it will get hot and they will drop! Hugs, Sandi
Hi Sandi, They’re both pretty patterns aren’t they? I have a set of 4 plates and a small creamer that I love. I hope Mother Nature cooperates so you can enjoy your tulips. :) ♥
Beautiful post Mary! Your flowers are gorgeous and so glad we finally have some warm weather 😊
Thank you so much Theresa! Enjoy this weather ♥
Just beautiful Mary! I want to add that I live in 10b and Lady Banks does great here too! Love her so much!
Such an ideal lakeside location for your outdoor dining. Would you consider a post with wider angle photos so we can see the entire setting? I would love to see this table with all the flowers surrounding the seating area. It seems so complete and well thought out!
Hi Betsy, I usually shoot in portrait mode rather than landscape mode. I’ll try to remember to do that :) Thank you for your visits and comments. Happy Monday ♥
Hi Donna, That’s good to know! Happy Monday ♥
Happy Monday, Mary! Your colorful garden is amazing. I don’t know how you find the time to do all that you accomplish. Love the springtime on your tabletop, and the Lady Banks are spectacular!
Thank you so much Sarah! I know you’re ready for your remodel to be finished so you can rework your garden. Happy Monday ♥
Beautiful flowers and wonderful tablescape. Thank you.
Thank you for your visit and comment Chloe! ♥
Thanks so much Julie! ♥
Amazing how it seems so short of time to have all the blooms to enjoy. I have a Banks rose (zone 9) and it overtook my clothesline. My fault for not keeping it pruned, but it can be very aggressive. Once we tackled cutting it back I had rose wood that I could actually burn in my woodstove…that’s how overgrown it became. I gave it a trellis but it still tries to defy. Love the table setting, but especially the pottery napkin holders.
Thank you Kathleen. Our Lady Banks is only 4 years old and on a trellis. (We’re 7b) My MIL had 3 planted to climb up her trellised deck / porch area and had to give them a serious pruning every year to keep them in bounds. Happy Monday ♥
What a beautiful waterside setting! I am always amazed at how easily you pull together the perfect flowers to match the dishes, tablecloth and napkins! What an awesome production. Those little flowerpot napkin holders are super cute and totally fitting. What a delightful repose, that table setting, with all of your awesome shrubbery (swoon) and the lake as the backdrop, …totally heaven on earth! Also, want to wish you a very Happy Birthday tomorrow Mary! (I think I have the date correct, hehe). May this be your best year yet with lots of good health, laughter, peace and joy! You are such a blessing to all of us. (If I have the date wrong, I still wish all of those things for you!) Love ya girl ! ♥️🌼⚘🌾🎂🎂🎂
Thank you Cyndi! You’re so sweet to visit, comment and remember my birthday! It’s a BIG one this year. :) Love to you ♥
Wow, such color in your yard, Mary, and in your centerpiece. I had to go a double take on both JB patterns. They are so similar in colors, but the edges are different. They’re both beautiful! Those napkin rings are so cute! Enjoy your outdoors!
Hi Kitty, They are remarkably similar aren’t they? I’ve never met a Johnson Brothers’ pattern I didn’t love. Happy Monday to you ♥
That beautiful tablecloth looks like it was made for your Johnson Brothers patterns Mary! So gorgeous between the linens, dishes, spring blooms and that VIEW! 🌸❤️
Thank you so much Kathy! Happy Monday ♥
Mary, You are a lifesaver. I have been going crazy trying to think of the Lady Banksia Rose. A friend used to have one that covered a large arbor and it was so beautiful. Thinking of planting one as soon as I find a source. Your spring tablescape is just a delight. Maybe if I ever get all my spring gardening chores done I could do a luncheon with a few vaccinated friends. Will definitely copy some of your ideas.
Hi Kathy, You would love having one in your garden! ♥
Oh Mary… your outdoor table is quite stunning. So colorful! What a delight to be able to sit with you while we listen to the birds and view the boats go by.
Enjoy your week my friend!
Thank you Nancy! ♥
Oh to be sitting at the beautifully curated table overlooking that peaceful lake would be truly wonderful. I would be smiling the entire time!! Lady roses are on my list and have the perfect spot for them. Yellow is my favorite. How wonderful it is to be able to create such a beautiful arrangement from your garden!!! Have a great week Mary!
I have some of these napkin pots, but a few have gone to garden heaven, I’m down to 5. I like to fold that napkin tip back on itself and then put the napkin into the pot standing up, like the napkins are growing.
You are so talented, Mary, I love how you’ve blended the colors for this tablescape! Stunning!
Beautiful lakeside dining with such lovely floral backdrops. Everything is beautiful. You are a wonderful gardener with lovely viburnums, azaleas, and lady banks roses. I know it was enjoyable cutting from your garden for your beautiful centerpiece. Your choice of plates, and tablecloth are so perfect. It has been a great weather week the last two weeks for us.
Happy Birthday, Mary. Hope you felt extra special.
Wow, that’s a lot of the color you have in your yard, Mary and also on your table. I had to do to the other side of two JB patterns. They’re so similar in their colors, but the edges are distinct. Both are beautiful! These napkin rings are adorable! Take advantage of the outdoor time!
