As a wife of a retired Navy sailor and with the crisis this country is experiencing it is so critical that we never forget the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for each of us. Peace.

Although I do read each of your posts, I have not commented more than once or twice. This post, however, inspired me to because of the profoundness of it. I fear that if we as Americans don’t continue to remember and share what this and other patriotic day celebrations truly mean, our freedom will be lost. Our younger generations have not experienced the wars during which our heroes gave their lives. It is up to us as parents and grandparents to make sure the importance of these days is made known and acknowledged. Your post is a great way to share what past leaders have expressed. I would love to share it on FB, but would not without your permission.
