With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, I’m sharing my love of the Irish!

Join me for a cup of Blarney Blend Black Tea today.

It’s a loose tea crafted from a variety of black teas from China, Kenya, and India,

with rich notes of astringency and malt that Irish tea blends are known for.

My Belleek Irish Cottage Teapot was an eBay find several years ago.

Established in 1857, Belleek Pottery is located in the quaint village of Belleek in County Fermanagh,

on the banks of the River Erne, and is the oldest craft pottery in Ireland.

Each piece of fine Parian ware is an original piece of Irish craftsmanship,

using materials and techniques handed down through the generations.

With more than 100,000 pieces of pottery produced annually, each piece

passes through 16 pairs of hands before it receives the famous Belleek trademark,

ensuring its authenticity and quality, as any piece with the slightest flaw is destroyed.

To make this shamrock tea shamrocks here’s what you’ll need:

☘️ Pepperidge Farm Very Thin Sliced Bread

☘️ Baby Spinach Leaves

☘️ Mayonnaise

☘️ Alouette Spinach & Artichoke Soft Spreadable Cheese

☘️ Metal Shamrock Cookie Cutter, slightly smaller than your bread, (mine was 3 inches)

Spinach-Artichoke Shamrock Tea Sandwiches | ©homeiswheretheboatis.net #irish #shamrock #recipe #stpatricksday #tablescape #tea

Started by spreading both slices of bread with mayonnaise;

the mayonnaise will help the spinach leaves adhere

and add some moisture to the cheese spread.

Layer the baby spinach leaves on one of the sides

and spread your cheese spread on the other side.

Tip: To make a clean cut and more distinctly-shaped shamrock,

use a metal cookie cutter, pressing the cutter down through spinach side of the bread.

To assemble tea sandwiches ahead, cover sandwiches with a damp paper towel

and wrap well with plastic wrap to keep your bread from drying out.

Oh Mary, I so enjoyed your Irish tea! The Belleek teapot, honey jar and bud vases are just delightful, and I enjoyed reading about the care with which they are made. So many wonderful shamrocks, on the plates, teacups and in the treats! The sheep shortbread are too cute :) The Blarney Blend Black Tea sounds delicious also, and I would love a spinach and artichoke shamrock sandwich ☘️ Such a beautiful tea table and St. Patrick’s Day tea!

Always loveMary’s blog posts! I own a couple pieces of Beleek a small Santa bell and a lovely jug/vase given as Christmas presents by a friend who thought I would appreciate them which I do. Also a mini vase in the iridescent glaze purchased at the Beleek factory by my aunt.
My fondest memory of the famous pottery are the famous Belleek pigs. A dear friend of my parents had two shamrock decorated piggies that held pride of place on her mantle piece. As a child I was fascinated by them. The lady also had a delicate shell shaped piece that I loved. Belleek is also known for its lovely intricately woven flower baskets. Someday I’ll get to Ireland to visit both the Belleek & Waterford factories. Meanwhile, thank you Mary for opening the door in my mind to some lovely, cherished memories of a very dear woman and those adorable pigs.

Thank you, Mary. This is a lovely post. I have a small collection of Beleek, some given to me by my late Mother and sister and also from my sister, Laura. I cherish my Beleek, not simply because of its beauty, but because of the ones who gave it to me.

Oh Mary, you’ve made my Irish eyes and heart happy with your tea! I always swoon over your Belleek teapot and your honey pot. Those sheep shortbread cookies are adorable! The tea sandwiches are so pretty too, and the Irish tea sounds delicious ☘️ Can you believe, my Tuesday Morning is still open?!! The checker told me that the 400 were being closed and she was hoping it wasn’t ours. Thank you for all the beauty today (and always!) 💚

Mary, my green eyes are smiling☘️ I have always loved your Belleek Irish Cottage Teapot, it was a fabulous find! I enjoyed reading the history of Belleek Pottery. We visited the Waterford Factory when we were in Ireland, but not the Belleek. That would have been an enjoyable tour. The honey pot is adorable as well as the vases. I miss Tuesday Morning. The shamrock shaped plates by Grace Teaware are perfect for your Irish Tea. I will take one of each of the sweet and savory treats. World Market always has some wonderful treats, unfortunately it is a drive to Birmingham! We love shortbread and the sheep are too cute. It is always a pleasure to share a cup of tea with you 💚☘️

SO inviting, your table is! I just love all the little bites you’re serving up, from the cute cookies (those sheep!) to the great little sandwiches to the dark chocolate. The sweet designs of the Belleek pottery are so endearing and timeless, and the rest of your table elements are so complimentary. I appreciate your teatime, and the fact that you were willing to reschedule for our tablescape event next week,

Mary, I am totally charmed and wish I could beam myself to your tea table. I’m crazy about your lovely Belleek pieces and inviting shamrock tea sandwiches. The shortbread cookies and Irish tea blend sound so good.
I am raising my hand with a sniff also, about Tuesday Morning.
The Irish apple cake is calling my name.
Hope the weather doesn’t do any damage for you this weekend.
The weather here in Colorado is nice and sunny today but later tonight 22 mph wind gusts and 50% snow for tomorrow. Low of 20 tonight and high of 40 tomorrow.
