Red Velvet Oreo Truffles

These truffles are no bake, use only 3 ingredients (4, if you use sprinkles) and are made with Valentine’s Day Limited-Edition Red Velvet Oreos! You can substitute any flavor Oreo if you can’t find Red Velvet. One cookie = approximately one truffle, depending on how large your balls are.

  • 10.7 ounce package Red Velvet Oreos about 20 cookies
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • Almond Bark or Chocolate Coating like CandyQuik, candy melts, or chocolate chips
  • Decorative Sprinkles
  • Instructions


  • Place Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they are fine crumbs. Add softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and pulse again until well combined.
  • Roll mixture into 1” sized balls and place on wax paper. Place in freezer 30 – 45 minutes until firm.
  • Melt candy coating according to directions on package.
  • Place chilled truffle ball on a fork and dip into the melted candy coating. Spoon melted candy coating on top. Once the ball is covered tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to remove excess coating and place on wax paper to set.
  • Sprinkle with decorative sprinkles before coating is set.


If you don’t have a food processor, place your cookies in a baggie and crush them with a rolling pin, then use a mixer or your muscles :) to mix the cream cheese with the cookie crumbs until smooth.
