Lavender is one of my favorite fragrances, our linen closet is always fresh, due to it. Have never tried it in recipes, although I have eaten cookies using lavender. Will you have some addresses where it could be purchased?
oh you have me so excited and worried! if this is your preview heaven help me… i just have to remember how much fun i had… gulp, as all you talented ladies dance around me! i love love LOVE your door, i have chalk envy… what a great idea about clean up, i use the hose on mine with psi like a fire hose, it also removes the paint… i will try this next time, but my new wd has turned out to be olive oil at the beach with all our rusting. i sprayed in the dog leashes and in our our front door lock works like a charm and smells better :-)
so excited to see all your dazzle next week, cheers to the novel bakers!
Lavender in foods is a gift from the gods. Can’t see what you and the bakers come up with! For now, lavender ice cream and lemon lavender pound cake my absolute favorites. Looking forward to adding more tempters to my recipe box……

I love Lavender, and grow it but this year it didn’t look so hot! I too am looking forward to next week !! And your art on the chalkboard, very well done as always!!

I’m looking forward to seeing what the Novel Bakers do with the Lavender theme! Thank you for the WD 40 tip for renewing chalkboards. That’s a great tip. Happy weekend, Mary!
Can’t wait! Your WD-40 tip is so valuable, I have had trouble with “ghosting,” thanks so much! I am so looking forward to the special Novel Bakers posts next week :)

Thank you for the chalkboard tip, Mary! How did you think of that? And, you are an ARTIST besides an amazing tablescaper, writer, stylist etc! Looking forward to smelling the lavender! Have a beautiful weekend. XO
Can’t wait to see what you girls have in store for us. Love cooking with lavender, and recently realized that I need to restock. I missed the hill country lavender festival that was held not long ago. One day I’m going to go see what it’s all about. Look forward to seeing the festivals you have to share. Never knew the chalkboard tip. Thanks! ~ Sarah
For some reason, I can’t grow lavender where I am but a friend of mine grows lots of it just 15 miles or so north of me…Back when I was still writing weekly food columns for our local newspaper, she invited me to a “Lavender Lunch”…where every dish was graced with lavender somehow…including a delicious Lavender Sangria and Lavender Lemonade..,and grilled Avocado with Lavender…
I’ve been so busy lately, but I just had to stop for a visit on my self imposed coffee break this afternoon. I love that tip about the WD-40. Honestly, the inability to get it really clean has been my hesitation with chalkboard projects. Now, I have no hesitation. Thanks! (And as always, every photo you take delighted me.)
Oh, I can’t wait!! I get so inspired by all of the beauty you create when I visit your blog and this will be fun!! Oh, and thanks for the tip about WD-40 on the chalkboard, I do have a problem with it.

Hugs & looking forward to all your lavender creations. I might have to snip some from my neighbor’s….shhhh.
I have a terrible sense of smell – long story involving a laundry accident years ago!! But I do love the look and color of lavender – it is soothing to me. Thanks for the tip about cleaning a chalk board – I never heard that before. Your chalk board drawing came out cute!!
