I have all things garden on my mind with the arrival of spring! Most of my free time recently has been occupied with garden clean up and puttering around the Potting Shed. Our weather has been a roller coaster ride of unpredictability this spring, but it looks like we’re finally on a warming trend after a few April showers this week. Fortunately, the forecast is always favorable for tabletop gardening!
Veggies are sprouting from Farmers Market plates and napkins are sprinkled with watering can napkin rings.
As you may have already realized, I have a serious case of watering can love.

Love the watering can napkin rings. Garden shed is looking awesome. We are in Ky and traveling south for sunshine, but right now rain is in the forecast. Hopeful that the weatherman will be wrong. 😦
Oh I hope the weatherman is wrong for your sake Cyndi! We have several very rainy days in our forecast this week. Safe travels to you. ♥
Beautiful photos. Finally we had beautiful spring weather this past weekend in NJ and we were able to start the spring clean up. Really looking forward to planting and gardening. Thanks for the inspiration Mary.
Absolutely gorgeous!!! What an inspiration!!!! Love everything!!!
What a beautiful table!
Love your creativity. I’m currently using your vintage seed packets and frogs. Luckily I got both locally at Vintiqies and Treasures on Main in Lincolton. You have so much talent to copy. Thanks

What a clever display to begin the gardening season where you are. Gardens have already been planted here and spring is well underway. Would be so fun to go shopping with you and to watch you prepare for your photo shoots. I know it must be fun for you to create those lovely scenes…your mind racing like crazy as you make decisions which will add to the beauty of the pictures. Enjoy the spring…:)
Perfect post to start off spring and usher in the warmer weather.
Spring is taking it’s time here in NJ, but finally things are coming around:) Wonderful ideas all around and I love those plates! The perfect post for a beautiful Monday morning, thank you!
Oh Mary, I’m loving your veggie themed potting shed tablescape! The watering can centerpiece is just so stunning, and looks so pretty with the plates, goblets, and flatware. This theme would be so pretty for a garden-themed luncheon. I love those gingham napkins as placemats…so perfect! Thanks for the morning loveliness to start off my week, Mary. xx
Such a feast for spring starved eyes :) Thanks so much for brightening our day with your beautiful creativity.
Great tablescape! I especially love your arrangement with the radishes in the sprinkling can, the seed packets standing up in the flower frogs, and the watering can napkin rings. Your eye for detail is always so much fun.
What a delightful table. I love everything, especially the beautiful plates. The seed packets are so nostalgic.
Have a happy week!
Mary, Just love everything you do in the garden shed, this one is so refreshing and inspiring. We returned to NC last Monday and I spent four days doing cleanup in my gardens and preparing the veggie garden boxes for planting. The winter in NE North Carolina was extremely harsh and as a result I lost gardenias, figs and Hawthorne. The camellias are so stressed and I am hoping you might have some recommendations to help me improve their condition. Many thanks.
Mary, the potting shed looks ready to celebrate spring planting. You have been close in thought all this week as I hit the garden for hours on end, wearing my new garden apron. I must say I felt rather stylish, and it is a handy thing to have because I’m known for misplacing my garden tools as I move from one area to the next. Thank you again, for this thoughtful gift. The tea is delicious and the perfect pick me up after working in a garden.
What a beautiful way to start our Monday. Love the plates and the veggies. Love all of it. Are you planning a vegetable garden too? I have lost so many flowers but I am just going to get some more when it warms up. Can’t replace the ones from Mother’s garden but I still have some left. Have a blessed day. Raining again in Asheville.
Love your garden tablescape! So creative! Will have to visit my Pier one for the green gingham napkins. They look very springtime and summer fresh!
Mary you make everything so lovely.

LOL, we are on the same wavelength so often, I just put my veggie picnic quilt on the table for a spring garden tablescape idea!! Love those dishes.
Gotta tell ya,I’d love to try some of that Boston Marrow Squash, I’ll bet that heirloom is real tasty! Cute setting Mary, I have a soft spot for the bee glasses, Ma’s name is Bea:@)
How Beautiful! Love it all! Love the vegetable plates and watering can! Longing for Spring as we had a Blizzard here I’m Wisconsin last week that dumped 29 inches of snow here over a 3 day period.
~Mary~
Looks so cute, and who wouldn’t eat their veggies sitting at that table !!???!
