A final Thanksgiving themed table before the big day tomorrow!
I was “auditioning” turkey plates in preparation for a lunch with a friend a couple of weeks ago taking, advantage of the last the warm weather and fall color.
I have several sets of turkey plates, I picked up over the years, no complete sets, two’s and four’s.
My latest pair, Spode Celebration, were plucked from the aisles of Tuesday Morning and are now free range :) and celebrating the outdoors. I enjoy the variety of patterns of turkey plates together for a Thanksgiving buffet, with everyone selecting their favorite “tom”!
I pulled together a centerpiece using some wet floral foam, artichokes from the produce department, and some pheasant feathers I use for Christmas decorating. Everything else was clipped from the trees~ crepe myrtle buds, oak, sweetgum, and magnolia leaves. I added some blooming grasses and dried goldenrod from a nearby field.

Having hosted Thanksgiving for the past twenty five years in a row, I am a NUT for turkey plates. I’ve really been enjoying looking at all of yours. You also have such a knack for creating unique and beautiful floral arrangements. Happy Thanksgiving, Mary!
Beautiful “free range” table Mary….love the Spode plates…I am trying a free range hormone free turkey this year that I bought from the “Harris T”..and also braved the lines of Honey Baked Ham yesterday…as my granddaughter loves their ham…Just love the table by the lake…I can just imagine dinner by candlelight there….

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Mary! Oh, how I wish my parents and I were going to be sitting out there in the open like that tomorrow! It’s supposed to be a beautiful weather day here in the Kansas City area with a high around 70. Nothing like what we’re accustomed to for Thanksgiving Day, so we welcome it! I love that you’re able to create a beautiful floral arrangement using so many elements from right in your own backyard! Mary, I spent the day making mini pies ~ pumpkin, pecan, and apple. All this because of your inspiration! Your turkey table for two is lovely. Tables for two are my favorite because it’s usually just the two of us. LOL

Your fall foliage pics are so pretty. I adore your arrangement with all the fall textures and your special pumpkins. Great turkey plates and darling napkins look so nice on your plaid throw. Such a beautiful setting looking out over the lake under a canopy of stunning fall leaves.
