The Thanksgiving countdown has begun! I set a turkey table with colorful trimmings to share before we headed out-of-town for our Thanksgiving feast with family. I know this is a busy week of planning, cooking, or travelling for everyone so I’ll keep the turkey talk to a minimum, if not the photos :)
Turkey plates of Autumn Monarch by Johnson Brothers, are rimmed with a decorative fruit and vegetable border and framed with embossed leaf plates in assorted colors.
And pumpkins and gourds are enjoying a last hurrah, trimmed with leaves and bittersweet vine, joining flowering kale and mums for a bountiful harvest and backdrop.
A Tom Turkey Cookie Jar has been pardoned, for not being a tureen :) joining me again as a centerpiece with his colorful plumage at the table.
A plaid fringed throw is providing a warm and colorful foundation in shades of purple, plum, terracotta and pumpkin.
A feather napkin ring pairs napkins, a harvest paisley print, with a solid pumpkin napkin trimmed with a russet ruffled edge, reminiscent of a turkey fantail.
If you’re looking for a make-ahead dessert for your Thanksgiving feast, Caramel-Pecan-Pumpkin Bread Pudding can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance. . .
Then baked and drizzled with a Caramel-Pecan Sauce during the last 5 minutes of baking time.
Wishing you a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving
with Plenty of Turkey and
Delicious, Colorful Trimmings!
The End :)

Beautiful Thanksgiving table….I am loving those beautiful dishes with the pop of blue and the napkins are just perfect!
Happy Thanksgiving
I love it! Great colors and your J-Bro plates are a favorite of mine! Tom is a perfect centerpiece, so much detail! Happy Thanksgiving Mary, enjoy your trip:@)
Your table is just beautiful. One of my favorites that you have done. The turkey cookie jar is truly stunning, he is prettier than any tureen, so he should be pardoned! Safe travels and Happy Thanksgiving.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Mary! Thank you for another beautiful post. Wishing you and your loved ones safe travel and wonderful memories of the holiday!
What a bountiful post, Mary! I would surely pardon Tom Turkey for not being a soup tureen for he looks pretty proud as a cookie jar! I love that you varied the colors of the dinner plates that are under your turkey plates. The two napkins look so pretty together with your plaid throw. Enjoy your time away and Happy Thanksgiving.
Gobble Gobble Mary! Your proud Tom Turkey looks so happy to be the star of this show, and that plaid throw really brings out the subtle colors and tones of both the cookie jar and the plates~ Of course it all looks magical against the autumn lake backdrop and surrounded by the pumpkins and gourds~ the Caramel Pecan-Pumpkin Bread Pudding sounds very divine, and I LOVE the photo of Tom’s back end! Have a wonderful time at your Thanksgiving feast~

What beautiful Thanksgiving settings you’ve created. I like how you decorate not only the table but the entire area around it. Your pumpkins and plaids are scrumptious!

As always, a perfect table! Lovely choice of colors. Wanted you to know this will be the second Thanksgiving I will be serving carmel pecan pumpkin bread pudding. It was a big hit last year, so a repeat performance. Have a safe trip and a wonderful Thanksgiving day.

Hi Carole, Caramel-Pecan-Pumpkin Bread Pudding -> http://homeiswheretheboatis.net/2013/11/13/goodbye-pumpkin-pie-hello-caramel-pecan-pumpkin-bread-pudding/ Happy Turkey Day!
Beautiful festive table, Mary…the colors are so warm and inviting.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Wherever you have your Thanksgiving feast no table will be as perfect as yours unless, of course, you do it! Happy turkey day.
What a treat it would be to enjoy Thanksgiving lakeside at this gorgeous alfresco table. You find the most gorgeous throws to use on your tables. I adore that look of layering them over the matelasse. In love with your mini turkey tureens too, especially when they are filled with that delicious bread pudding. Thanks for the recipe. I’m going to make this!
Safe travels and Happy Thanksgiving!
Always crush over your tablescapes with the beautiful dinnerware and accents that are always a showstopper…love that plaid throw…and then you always top everything off with a most wonderful delectable delight!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!
Just wanted to wish you a very happy thanksgiving!
What a wonderfully rich textured tablescape, Mary! Such deep tones with glorious turkeys to grace this setting. Beautiful!!
I bought those plates several years ago but they rocked…the bases were very uneven, so I returned them. I really liked them but the ones I found must have been rejects.
I love that little extra russet ruffled edge on the napkins…I could do that!!!
Hoping your travels were uneventful & that you enjoyed a delicious meal.
Hugs,
Rett
I remember this table from last year- love it! That turkey is quite something! I need something to raise an object for a table I’ll be setting at my mom’s. I like that metal stand you used for the pumpkins.
You have the eye for finding perfect accessories to accent the dishes you are using. Love the rich colors here. Paisley and plaid look great together. I especially like the colorful turkey centerpiece and ramekins.
A friend of mine threw out her old pumpkins last year and they took root and produced pumpkins this August/September. Don’t know if you have a good sunny spot but if you do you should give it a try for next year.
Great plates for a thanksgiving table. Always outstanding, so much attention to detail. Thanks.
Your turkey centerpiece is beautiful as are the other details. It’s always a pleasure to visit here, your pictures are amazing. Safe travels and Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m pretty sure that Turkey is a tureen just disguised as a cookie jar. Lovely! You’ve achieved such a beautiful blend of Autumn colors on your tablescape. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
Beautiful tablescape and gorgeous outdoor setting.
