Spring Forward to Boating Season!

DSC_8966-001

We’re enjoying our 3rd warmest March in 75 years, with temperatures in the 70s and 80s later this week, so boating season arrived with daylight saving time this year!

Some elbow grease is required to spring forward to boating season. . .

Which requires some bleach and a some Chateau de “Bateau” for the job. . .

Best enjoyed with ice cubes in 75 degree weather.  :)

We’re dog gone excited for an early boating season . . .

Woo-hoo! We spent last week at the lake because Shelley was competing in a horse show nearby. We had a wonderful week! We also need to spring clean the Crest because it’s been in storage at the marina all winter. Chloe and Gracie are happy it’s boating season, I can tell!

We ordered new seats for our boat—the sustained covered time here…October to late April really does a number on the cushions…can’t wait for 70’s—uh, 60’s…uh…anything warm, lol. Greetings from Chicagoland, Sandi The dogs look like they love it, also…!

    ~Mary~

Beautiful sky as you journey out for a relaxing ride, and the pups are so darn cute helping the captain!!

Hope this warm March weather does not bring an extremely hot summer ! Its raining here and looking at the low 60s this week, but here in Indiana it could snow in April :(.

    Have a super week :)

Mary, I loved seeing the girls with your DH. I’d completely forgotten to spring forward today. LOL We’re having similar weather. In another week, our grass will need mowing. Have a great week, my dear.

Spring is near…loads of buds showing and enjoying the beauty of nature! Love your refreshing pics of the water and your furry companions; both heart warming! Happy Boating <3

We have had rain, wind and ‘bluster’ going on 5 days today…no lovely Springing Forward weather in paradise for us…however, our ‘sustainability’ group is meeting at noon for our yearly Spring gathering today at one of our parks by a lake…Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night ….no wait…that is not our BISS group’s motto…but pretty much!

    Happy Spring!

Doggies are darling and LOVE the water /sky pictures – just beautiful!! I made the Carrot Cake Cupcakes and the Easter Peeps Flowers Centerpiece for our church potluck today. Both were a hit! Thanks for all the creative ideas Mary ~please keep them coming! Happy Sunday!

Yes, I think spring is here to stay. We’re enjoying porch weather complete with capri pants and sandals today. I have azaleas blooming and our grass has greened out the last few days. I love it.
I enjoyed seeing boat season begin in your pics. Makes me smile. Have a great Sunday.

Love you two ‘littles’; I was once told if you gave them distilled water, it would cure the ‘rust’ around their mouth. Might be worth a try. They are two cuties! love you blog, so inspiring and peaceful.

      Thanks Lyn! It’s allergies :(

Loved your awesome water weekend post. The best part….Chloe and Gracie…I just can’t get enough of those sweet little fur faces. Just want to give them smooches! We also are enjoying 60s, 70s and now 80s, Unfortunately that also brings out the pollen and soon we will be covered in the nasty yellow pine pollen that we get here in north central GA~!

What beautiful pictures of the lake–you are an excellent photographer. I see Chloe is happy in the Captain’s chair with your hubby. Both Chloe and Gracie look happy on the boat. Our weather here is finally nice today as it is in the mid-60’s. Tomorrow will be in the 70’s unfortunately the weekend will be chilly. Enjoy your warm temperatures and the extra hour of daylight!!

  25. March 15, 2016 at 11:16 pm

AWWW, I am (once again) jealous of your pontoon rides! I so enjoyed them when my SIL and my FIL both had pontoon boats! Your little fur babies are always a delight to see. So glad you got out on the water already!! I so look forward to your picnics on the pontoon!

  26. March 22, 2016 at 8:09 am

So incredibly cute Mary. Our lake is still very cold. I another ordered life jacket for my Dessa this winter. My silly dogs can’t swim, they sink! We too are ready to enjoy the lake. xxx….

Love your weekend Waterford! May I ask where you got those & the wine? Been looking for the wine everywhere!

    • March 27, 2016 at 4:38 pm

Hi Pam, I used to sell them when I had a retail store, you can find some here. The wine is available at World Market :)
