I so admire your staging and photography skills…..Very very cute in your kitchen! Also, I hope that chicken feeder went through the dishwasher, multiple times before it went into your kitchen!! I’ve kept chickens before! Lol.

Oh, that “chick feeder” brought back memories…we used to get “chicks in the mail” when on the farm and I got to sprinkle feed in one of those troughs. I like your use!! franki

What a darling potting shed vignette, Mary, using the chicken feeder. I’m in love with the red scale, too! I tried stamping flatware awhile, but it was so hard for me and my hubby!!

  14. August 5, 2013 at 9:53 am

Another darling vignette and peek into the world of the lakeside potting shed. It’s fun to see how you have fun with all these garden related things.
I just found a new garden book at a local thrift: Antique Flowers ~ Perennials~ Enduring Classics for the Contemporary Garden. Do you have this one? It’s lovely!

  15. August 5, 2013 at 11:50 am

very cute antique play station. being the retail twins that we are of course i have wanted to do my own spoons for years, but i can’t find them anywhere, i have checked a few good wills but they don’t care any pieces at all… we even have 2 size stamps, but alas i always come up short when you share your cute things…

as for your cute box, i bot a few real old fruit crates from a salvage yard, again we are seeing double in so many areas. just came online to do some spiffing up of my crates, my first craft project by the sea and of course we are 2 peas in a shopping cart~

I keep repeating myself…I love your playhouse…ooops…I mean your potting shed!

  18. August 5, 2013 at 3:11 pm

You “plant” plates better than anybody I know.

I truly love your little shed. Those “Keep Calm” spoons are very, very sweet!

  22. August 5, 2013 at 7:28 pm

ha, this is so much fun, only you could put an old garden pot under a glass cloche and create such a crazy cool vignette! I have always loved the way you can casually stick vintage china in a planter box and make it look so kooky great! My favorite part is the cup and saucer perched on the overturned pot! And the stamped silver messages of course! You have such a fun place to play when it’s raining!

You can out items together better than anyone I have ever seen. That chicken feeder is perfection, and I LOOOOOVE the spoons. Did you do a post on how to stamp them? Love it. XO

An immediate big smile and wonderful memories of my grandparents lake house came to mind when I saw the first picture….my Granny’s everyday dishes!! So many of her home cooked meals & cornbread were served on those dishes! (first picture, plate on the right.) I didn’t get her everyday dishes but do have lots of her china. Can you remind me of the pattern name? Thank you for the memories!

    • August 6, 2013 at 7:21 am

The pattern on the right is Johnson Brothers Fruit Sampler. My grandmothers pattern, Harvest Time by Johnson Brothers is on the left :)

The antique chicken feeder was a find! So much eye-candy here, Mary. Dishes, spoons, itty statues. Love how the feeder has sprouted china flowers–pure genius! I could spend hours in your potting shed!
