Scattered Leaves, Turkeys, and Pfaltzgraff Autumn Berry Dinnerware

I’m at the table with scattered leaves, turkeys, and Pfaltzgraff Autumn Berry Dinnerware.

Newly introduced by Pfaltzgraff, Autumn Berry dinnerware is bordered by a fall garland of oak leaves, acorns and berries.

I’ve including some fall foliage photos from the archives to set the mood for this autumn lakeside table!

Our leaves typically don’t start to turn in our part of North Carolina until the end of October. I did manage to spy the first sign of fall color to come in a few leaves from our maple tree, turned more from the stress of a dry summer than cool weather.

A Harvest Scattered Leaves Tablecloth and Napkins from Kohl’s provides a foundation for the table to coordinate with the fall colors of the dinnerware.

Autumn Berry coordinates with Pfaltzgraff Filigree, sharing the same white embossed scrolled detailing around the rims.

Turkey napkin rings in an antique gold finish hold a pair of napkins, with scattered leaves layered over a fall plaid napkin in shades of pumpkin, gold and green.

Amber All Purpose Glasses by Pfaltzgraff add some warm seasonal color to the table while Autumn Berry mugs hold 12 ounces of favorite warm beverage, coffee, cocoa or Spicy Cider.

DSC_7296-001

A pumpkin with a reminder to “Give Thanks for our many Blessings” provides a centerpiece for the table, elevated by a wood candlestick used as a pedestal.

DSC_7326-001

Woven chargers provide some texture and contrast to the dinnerware, with a scalloped edge and design, providing a turkey fantail effect.

Autumn Berry is crafted of stoneware and microwave and dishwasher safe.

Lovely as always, I can’t wait to come down to Lake Norman in Oct. (31-7th), I’m so excited!
Thank you for all the incredible posts!

This would be a very welcoming Thanksgiving setting Mary! Love the serving pieces with little turkeys and your napkin rings have an antique-y look, very pretty:@)

Oh my, lovely table settings. I love the Wallace turkey serving pieces…I really like your pumpkin probably because I have the exact one that I got from Hobby Lobby a number of years ago..no color here in Indy yet but cool temps that we are loving!! Thanks for sharing a beautiful table..😍😍😍🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

Looks like Pfaltzgraff ia aiming to put a target on Johnson Bros long-loved ‘His Majesty’ pattern (which is a nice alternative for those who don’t enjoy the hunt for vintage). Nicely done, and my favorite accessories include the napkin rings, the pumpkin, and your chargers. Have a great week.

Love this Autumnal table setting! Really like the Autumn Berry set by Pfaltzgraff as well as the linens. Everything comes together quite nicely.

This is beautiful, my sister would love the dishes with the oak leaves and acorns.

  8. September 14, 2015 at 9:13 am

Yes Mary, eating pumpkin pie on that pretty turkey plate would be so enjoyable! Thanks for sharing the beauty of this new pattern with us. I love the simple centerpiece and of course you always find the prettiest linens at Kohls.

  9. September 14, 2015 at 9:48 am

How PRETTY, Mary!! The whole scene captures the essence of autumn! I think those turkey napkin rings may now go on my shopping list, since I’ve been asked to “do” Thanksgiving at my house this year. I think my DD is just trying to keep me busy.
The dishes are darling but it is the way you’ve so artfully arranged them that really makes a statement. The chargers, your choice of tablecloth & napkins…all wonderfully coordinated.
The photo of the leaf in the amber stemware is breathtaking! It would make a great greeting card!!

It looks like you are ready for Turkey Day! Lovely table, Mary. No, we don’t get color this early, still very summery here. We did get rain for the first time in a month. I think the drought this summer will diminish the Fall colors. The leaves are shriveled.

Mary, I would love your advice. I am so tempted by colored glassware, but have always been afraid to use it. If you fill it with anything but water or white wine I am afraid the refraction would make it look muddy brown. What has been your experience? Any color you find that works better than another?
As usual, thanks for the inspiration! ! Love the turkey plates for a dessert table!

    • September 14, 2015 at 2:26 pm

Hi Susie! I think the amber color is the most versatile. It looks good with water, iced tea, water, or any lighter beverages. :)

  12. September 14, 2015 at 10:39 am

Amazing Autumn, Mary! I love the turkey serving set and the napkin rings. Love it all!!

  13. September 14, 2015 at 11:10 am

Even though I have been reluctantly accepting the arrival of Fall, I’m not quite ready for turkeys! This put a scare into me! They do look wonderful in the falling leaves though, and I am crazy about the turkey serveware! I guess it is time to start thinking and planning for Thanksgiving, I don’t host this year so I will just be enjoying all the turkey table tops! Love your gorgeous leaf photos Mary, we won’t see turning leaves for a month or so…
    Have a fun week~

Fall has BLOWN in to this neck of the woods like crazy! Yesterday and today are COOL!!! It was 57 when I woke up and VERY windy. It is up to 67 now. BUT, it is going back to the 80’s the rest of the week. I am looking online for that hostess set but can’t find it for less than $80.00. Do you have a better source? I LOVE that tablecloth and napkins. I have a gift card for Kohls so will be going there soon:) Gorgeous table once again.

    • September 14, 2015 at 1:06 pm

Hi Pinky, The turkey hostess is set sold out at Pfaltzgraff unfortunately. The best price I see online is for $80 too at Horchow, do you get their emails and sale notifications? It seems like they run a 25% off sale every few days. It would be worth signing up and maybe getting a free shipping offer too. :)

  15. September 14, 2015 at 12:44 pm

Lovely as always, getting us really into the ‘autumn’ feelings, love everything about your blog :-)

  16. September 14, 2015 at 5:13 pm

Oh, I wish I had the storage space that you do for all those wonderful special dishes! I am also in NC, in the western mountains, and the color is just beginning here. We will peak about mid-October most years. Here’s hoping for rain for both of us! Beautiful autumn leaves in your photo archive, we are supposed to have a really good year for color this year.

    Mary,

Love, love, love your table setting with the autumn leaves and turkey tableware. It’s too soon for a change of leaves here which usually occurs the end of October and the beginning of November. We did have a couple of cool days but temperatures will be back in the 80’s through the weekend.

I love this table setting and am going to check Kohl’s for that tablecloth that would go perfectly with the harvest dishes I purchased last year. You think of everything, down to the chargers resembling turkey tail feathers…and they do! Beautiful setting, Mary. Pinky and I live less than 15 minutes apart so you already have the scoop on our crazy weather here in southeastern PA.

  19. September 15, 2015 at 7:05 am

Mary, I’m beginning to think about turkey already as I am hosting (again!). I love the contrast of the dishes with the chargers and the napkin rings. I’m also on the hunt for the turkey hostess serving set! Our leaves have started to turn along the top edges of the trees and we’ve had one night that was cold enough for some of that cider, but back up to the mid 80s this week. My sinuses do not like these temperature swings! Linda

I just love the Wallace serving pieces! They are fabulous for a gift! The plates are really fun too. They would make such a statement for Thanksgiving. Of course the setting is fabulous!

Trying hard to accept fall, but I have to agree with everyone, this is a beautiful table-scape. Love the turkey napkin ring holders and the Wallace serving pieces. Are they by Pfaltzgraff also? I went on their site and no matches came up for it. (?) Thanks Mary – it’s over the top, as always.

    • September 17, 2015 at 6:20 am

Thank you Cynthia! The Wallace Turkey Hostess Set is unfortunately out of stock. The only place I see it available now is Horchow.

A beautiful fall tablescape……love the setting!
I am just now thinking I should add some fall touches around
here but I always hang onto summer as long as I can.
The leaves haven’t changed here yet but soon!

Loved this setting, but my favorite is still Churchill’s Queens Turkey and Wildlife pattern. Tuesday Mornings has this china pattern on sale presently so I have been able to add to my pattern. Got my idea of this china pattern from you some years back and love, love, love. Will bake up some of the delicious looking Pecan, Cranberry crackers as they look beautiful .

  27. September 17, 2015 at 7:36 pm

These dishes have such a pretty retro feel to them. I just love that platter. I can just picture a beautiful turkey on it. Lovely setting!
