Join me for some farm-to-table fun, served with plaid, smiles, and a few flowers!

Animal Plates

Let me introduce you to my barnyard friends, fresh from the farm, aka Pier 1, from the top left corner clockwise:

Quackers, Trudie, Dottie and Clooney, all ready to serve up smiles and a little whimsy at the table.

I filled a watering can from the barn, aka Potting Shed, with sunflowers, hydrangeas and Queen Anne’s lace for a casual and easy centerpiece.

Dottie was feeling like the black sheep in this farmyard family since she was missing a flower adornment on her head, so I cut some million bells for a blooming chapeau ;)

I hope this inspired *ewe* to have fun at the table!

You always inspire me! And now you have me wanting to make a trip to Pier I, so my husband would say you enable my addiction. Ha! They are adorable, and you know I’ve a soft heart for farm animals. The strutting hen alone with her crown of wheat has me smiling and scheming. Thank you for starting my day with this adorable whimsey. The only thing better would be to have myself sitting at that lakeside table with all the critters. Thanks, Mary!

Perfect for a sunny summer day…Love the arrangement in the water can…I miss gathering Queen Anne’s Lace as i drove along the backroads …I used to do that all the time…I had a perfect spot for cutting blue hydrangeas also…and my favorite combination was the Queen Anne’s Lace, blue hydrangeas and yellow or orange daylilies, I would also forage for!

  18. June 16, 2016 at 1:58 pm

“Ewe” have done an amazing job of creating a table scape to “crow” about. Everything is just “ducky” and that’s no “hogwash”.
Seriously, this is just the cutest table scape EVER!!!!
Thank you for putting a big smile on my face.

Somehow I missed this last year! Love the blue/white checked plates and the farm dishes too! I like how you added the little flower petals next to the plate with the cute pig! I wished I would have gotten those barnyard dishes! The florals look fabulous in the watering can.
