Join me for some farm-to-table fun, served with plaid, smiles, and a few flowers!
Let me introduce you to my barnyard friends, fresh from the farm, aka Pier 1, from the top left corner clockwise:
Quackers, Trudie, Dottie and Clooney, all ready to serve up smiles and a little whimsy at the table.
I filled a watering can from the barn, akaPotting Shed, with sunflowers, hydrangeas and Queen Anne’s lace for a casual and easy centerpiece.
Rooster mugs with a chicken wire design are AWA certified and pastured, found foraging at Tuesday Morning.
Corralling flatware and a checked straw for your farm fresh beverage!
Alternating blue and red plaid napkins are paired with natural chambray napkins with a lace trim. . .
With a braided rattan napkin rings and a sprig of flowering Mexican tarragon.
Dottie was feeling like the black sheep in this farmyard family since she was missing a flower adornment on her head, so I cut some million bells for a blooming chapeau ;)
I hope this inspired *ewe* to have fun at the table!

Ooo!!! Love those animal plates..I tried to pick a fav but impossible..they are all so cute…I really like Trudie in honor of my 95 year old Aunt Trudy…the silverware too…the whole table is a conversation piece!!! 🐖🐓🐄🌻🌼🌹🌸🌺
You always inspire me! And now you have me wanting to make a trip to Pier I, so my husband would say you enable my addiction. Ha! They are adorable, and you know I’ve a soft heart for farm animals. The strutting hen alone with her crown of wheat has me smiling and scheming. Thank you for starting my day with this adorable whimsey. The only thing better would be to have myself sitting at that lakeside table with all the critters. Thanks, Mary!
That table setting is a lot of fun, simply great for a smile. And who can’t love checks and primary colors—-agian, this is so much fun, Thanks for sharing! Sandi
Toooo cute!! Love your watering can centerpiece and your plates are darling (loved how you positioned the flowers to enhance the plate designs!) Great mugs, as well. This table will put a smile on diners, for sure! Thanks for sharing. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

Great find of the rooster mugs, everything is so much fun!! Pier 1 has been off my radar for a while, they always have great stuff! Keep cool, looks like a hot weekend!

Perfect for a sunny summer day…Love the arrangement in the water can…I miss gathering Queen Anne’s Lace as i drove along the backroads …I used to do that all the time…I had a perfect spot for cutting blue hydrangeas also…and my favorite combination was the Queen Anne’s Lace, blue hydrangeas and yellow or orange daylilies, I would also forage for!
