Thanks so much for sharing this gathering of whimsy and delight. . . I so wish I could sample the treats but your photos made the story. Are you sure you weren’t a kindergarten teacher in another life???

Your potting shed is always my favorite place to visit, but this was perfection. Thank you for my invitation. Well done!

  6. July 23, 2016 at 7:06 am

This is the best and most beautifully whimsically done tea party I have ever attended…complete with a most adorable footman, a queen in attendance and of course the lovable Alice. Who wouldn’t love accepting cookies from the Cheshire Cat and picking out your favorite tea cup from the adorable wheelbarrow. You started off my day on such a happy note!…Have a great weekend Mary!

  7. July 23, 2016 at 7:08 am

Mary, your delightful potting shed is the perfect setting for the Ninth Annual Mad Tea Party! I enjoyed seeing your adorable guests. So cute! And your wreath is completely over the top. I also like the teacup valence. I’m sure I’ll pop back in later on in the weekend to enjoy your post again.

I participated this year but minimally. I have one daughter moving to college for the first time, and our graduate student is moving home for her externship. :/ Heaven help me!

The wreath is just heart stopping. I think it’s the combo of that great black and white checked ribbon and the stunning colors of the teapot and butterflies. Such wonderful attention to detail! Thanks for the invitation, I had a wonderful time!

  17. July 23, 2016 at 9:06 am

Mary, I would be mad if I didn’t come to your magical tea party! As long as we are stuck at 6 o’clock I’ll have a serving of tea in each cup, please, and I’ll add sugar just so I can play with that little spoon! Pass me a lemon tart and a pretty cake too, one with pink pearls please. Mr. Frog Footman is so dapper in his little bowtie and he’s so generous to share the limelight so Alice can perch in a beautiful bouquet! Such a beautiful dream ~~ I’m not ready to wake and have breakfast so I’ll stay here and have more tea and a few macarons and some of your perfect palmiers too! I can’t wait for part 2! Linda

Oh goodness! Thank you for the invitation. I would not have missed it for the world. I am 74 years young and still love having tea parties, for others as well as for myself . I couldn’t chose a favorite cup. I stood there for a long time trying to make up my mine. So I sipped a little tea from all your cups. Sorry, next time I promise to chose just one. Oh, and since I’m a little on the silver side and have given up on dieting, I had one of all the sweets. Oh please invite me again to your next party. I promise to be good🐰🎉😍
