Thanks so much for sharing this gathering of whimsy and delight. . . I so wish I could sample the treats but your photos made the story. Are you sure you weren’t a kindergarten teacher in another life???
Wow! This is spectacular! Thank you for inviting me to your Mad Tea Party…I love it! The Cheshire Cat and Frogman are adorable. You did an outstanding job!
Mary, so delightful and whimsical! I savored every photo! I did catch one of my favorites – macarons! Thanks for the party, I enjoyed myself! Pam @ Everyday Living
This is the best and most beautifully whimsically done tea party I have ever attended…complete with a most adorable footman, a queen in attendance and of course the lovable Alice. Who wouldn’t love accepting cookies from the Cheshire Cat and picking out your favorite tea cup from the adorable wheelbarrow. You started off my day on such a happy note!…Have a great weekend Mary!
Mary, your delightful potting shed is the perfect setting for the Ninth Annual Mad Tea Party! I enjoyed seeing your adorable guests. So cute! And your wreath is completely over the top. I also like the teacup valence. I’m sure I’ll pop back in later on in the weekend to enjoy your post again.
I participated this year but minimally. I have one daughter moving to college for the first time, and our graduate student is moving home for her externship. :/ Heaven help me!
I find this most impressive!!! Your imagination, creativity, design, China choices, food presentation, photography, flowers and the quotes make this Mad Tea Party in the Potting Shed, well in one word, AMAZING!!!
The wreath is just heart stopping. I think it’s the combo of that great black and white checked ribbon and the stunning colors of the teapot and butterflies. Such wonderful attention to detail! Thanks for the invitation, I had a wonderful time!
Absolutely splendid in every way! From your “storytelling” to the descriptions of the marvelous desserts! What a magical and whimsical party and thank you for inviting us to join. Beautiful decor and it was like I was truly there with all the beautiful photos you shared. Absolutely in love with your wreath!
Mmm those treats look sooo good.. and what a beautiful display! You’ve done so well, wish I was there! Love your tea cup collection too, and the cards, and the details oh my!
I am always blown away by your beautiful compositions! Stunningly gorgeous! You inspire me to try to give it that little bit of extra tender loving care. Your pages make me smile! Thank you! Have a very happy day!!
Mary, I would be mad if I didn’t come to your magical tea party! As long as we are stuck at 6 o’clock I’ll have a serving of tea in each cup, please, and I’ll add sugar just so I can play with that little spoon! Pass me a lemon tart and a pretty cake too, one with pink pearls please. Mr. Frog Footman is so dapper in his little bowtie and he’s so generous to share the limelight so Alice can perch in a beautiful bouquet! Such a beautiful dream ~~ I’m not ready to wake and have breakfast so I’ll stay here and have more tea and a few macarons and some of your perfect palmiers too! I can’t wait for part 2! Linda
This tea party brought a smile to my face. Such loveliness. From the wreath on the door I was captivated. However did you secure it? Mr. Frog looks so happy to be doing the honors, as well he should, those tarts look lovely. The wheelbarrel of teacups! My heart is swooning.
I love it all. You sure do know how to put on a spread.
Can you see me, standing on my chair, giving you a HUGE round of applause??!!! Outstanding Tea Party! Just chock full of wonderfully delicious ideas & treats…SO FUN!
Well done, Mary!!!!!!
Oh my goodness! I would love to come have tea with you for real! Everything is so very beautiful!! I absolutely adore those cards!! I’ve never seen anything like them. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

Who wouldn’t want to come to your tea party, Mary?? Surely they’d be Mad, not to attend!! The wreath, topiary and pretty welcome mat made for the perfect entrance to your potting shed party. Your frog footman and Cheshire Cat holding the treats just made me smile. Seeing your hanging teacups at the potting shed window, makes for the perfect valance. Wish I was there to partake in a a cuppa tea and yummy tea party fare!
You have really outdone yourself on this one! You must have had so much fun getting everything ready, I hope you invited a few friends over to see your handiwork. Fantastic job!
Thank you, for the lovely tea! I love it but the teacups suspended above the window is my favorite part (although the rest is quite beautiful!). Lots of eye candy!
Oh goodness! Thank you for the invitation. I would not have missed it for the world. I am 74 years young and still love having tea parties, for others as well as for myself . I couldn’t chose a favorite cup. I stood there for a long time trying to make up my mine. So I sipped a little tea from all your cups. Sorry, next time I promise to chose just one. Oh, and since I’m a little on the silver side and have given up on dieting, I had one of all the sweets. Oh please invite me again to your next party. I promise to be good🐰🎉😍
WOW!! A feast for the eyes!! Gorgeous!! Anticipating part II.. Love, love the footman..and the little cakes with frosting and the nonpareils…hmm..they were good!! Gotta go, gotta go, don’t want to be late and don’t want to anger the Queen of Hearts and, surely don’t want to hear “OF WITH THEIR HEAD”!!! ❤️🍰🍬☕️❤️🍬🍧🍰🐰
Oh my! What beautiful, inspirational and lovely photos. The food looks delicious and your decorations are amazing. I love the tea cups and plates and just everything about this!

Your tea time in the potting shed is a delight. I loved sipping tea with you and Mr. Froggie. How cute he is waiting to serve. It was fairly close to raining at my tea party and almost had to have mine in the greenhouse too. Aren’t we lucky to have a place like that to go in the garden.
~Mary~
