I *heart* flowers. . .
I *heart* jars. . .
And I *heart* flowers in jars.
I found a wire heart-shaped basket at a consignment store, providing inspiration for a heartfelt arrangement for Valentine’s Day.
Easy to assemble, insert jars into basket ;)
The grocery stores are blooming with flowers in anticipation of Valentine’s Day!
$4 bouquets of alstroemeria, lisianthus, iris and ruffly carnations provide some welcome flower therapy in February, especially when it’s cold and gray.
The alstroemeria and carnations will last for two weeks and provide a lot of bloom for the buck. ;)
Treat yourself to a bouquet. . .
Or a new pair of gardening gloves . . .
Or some blooming dishes. . .
*Bee* your own Valentine ;)

As always, since signing up for your blogs, I feel inspired to do something for Valentine’s Day.
Thank you.
Great inspirations for Valentine! Enjoy your weekend!😎🌴
Always inspired by your flower arrangements. So clever to put the individual mason jars in the wire heart. Just love it by the way. I know you love flowers because it shines through in all you do. Happy ❤️ Day!
Your use of garden gloves to hold the silverware (and to be a take home gift) has inspired me to have a garden themed luncheon to chase away the winter blues! Love it!
Hearts!! franki
I really enjoyed this post. Where are the dishes from? I am planning to ‘bee’ my own valentine with several co-workers, flowers in mason jars are a must!
Thanks RS! You can find all the sources here: https://homeiswheretheboatis.net/2016/02/13/love-around-the-potting-shed/
Mary,
Where did you find the hollow chocolate frog? He is not available at my Target. Thanks
I found the Lindt chocolate frog prince at Target, they had several sizes. You might check World Market too.
Lovely post. I heart 💞 flowers🌺 too!!!! The heart basket was a great consignment find and glad it was big so you could cluster your Ball jars inside. Love the heartwarming quote on the cute spoon. Pretty hyacinth blooming and great floral dish pattern. It’s all so lovely and inspiring today.
I did a heart arrangement with red camellias and succulents in a recent post. I meant to tell you that the queen anne’s lace that was in my vase with the camellias you commented on was from the florist. You are right they don’t bloom at the same time and in my area I had to order them ahead.
I heart your jar arrangement Mary! And the heart wire basket! Bee your own Valentine is wonderful advice :) Even though I am not a gardener there are always fresh flowers in my house, and luckily HH agrees and buys them often. Your red and white blooming dishes and gloves make a sweet Valentine table setting!
Love Love that basket! What a treasure! Today’s blog is filled with “sweets for the eyes”…I thank you for this jump-start for Valentine’s Day!
OH my goodness, Mary, a friend gifted me a basket just like that one, probably at least 25 years ago. Right now, I have it lined with coco fiber and have some faux geraniums in it. I ❤️ your idea with the canning jars and I will definitely try that. Thanks so much for the inspiration, as always!! xx
Katie Alice is my pattern for our kitchen, so I enjoy seeing what you do with it! Thanks!
Absolutely LOVE the garden gloves as utensil holders. Unique and charming!
What a darling heart shaped basket and such a lucky find. Wish we had a great store around here that offered treasures like that! Love the ball jars, and still LOVING mine from your give a way a few years ago!! Every time I see them, of course I think of YOU!! I REALLY LOVE the Napoleon Bee flatware – all versions of it. I understand it is on sale now at Horchow and the gold edged version is just OVER THE TOP! It’s on my wish list… one day maybe… Thanks Mary.
Mary, I ❤ flowers and jars, also. Your arrangement in the heart basket is so perfect for anytime, but especially Valentine’s Day. Happy Weekend!
What a great find in that heart shaped basket! Beautiful post!!!
Oh how lovely – there is nothing quite like the flowers God has given us to fill our eyes and hearts with beauty.
I adore carnations – especially very light pink ones or white, love love love them. My local florist orders them in large quantities for me now and then. They’re hard to find otherwise. And you are right – they last for weeks and weeks!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Lovin’ the color combo in the carnations Mary! Happy Weekend:@)
I like your attitude, give yourself a little valentine! ‘-) The heart basket was a great find. I would have scooped it up immediately. Clever to use it for flowers. I plan to buy flowers tomorrow. Setting my table night. ;-)
Happy Valentine’s Day!
So much inspiration, Mary…what a breath of fresh air with the promise of Spring!
I am loving all your creative displays & I am whispering out loud to myself “I am NOT buying more dishes! I am NOT buying more dishes!” LOL
What a great find Mary!….and yes, you certainly heart your jars and we heart the way you style them with such great floral arrangements and more! As always, love the beautiful display of gorgeous dishes and pretties. Love the gloves holding the silverware….hmmm..you always give me such great ideas!
Very sweet, love your basket. I am in full on spring fever, we hit 70 this week, been reading garden books and creating gorgeous beds in my minds eye. Still shocked you can buy flowers for four bucks, only in my garden dreams!
Such a beautiful idea 🌸🌸 love the wire basket and the beauty of the colours used with the fresh flowers.
So pretty…I love your heart-shaped arrangement!
Beautiful, Mary! You had me laughing at your third paragraph and I continued to smile all the way through! ❤️ You have such a way with flowers, and your ideas are always fun! Hope you have a great week and Valentines Day!
