Help yourself to some CharcuTEArie, aka, charcuterie in teacups,

a festive way to serve charcuterie for easy entertaining,

a tea party or shower!

I couldn’t muster the energy or enthusiasm to turn the oven on in this heat

for this edition of Tea on Tuesdays, so enter these charcuterie teacups with

a quick trip to the supermarket!

Pretty floral teacups for tea party ©homeiswheretheboatis.net

Start with some pretty teacups and saucers. . .

I’ve found pretty floral ones at HomeGoods and TJ Maxx over the years,

but you can also shop thrift stores and antique malls.

A traditional charcuterie board is a selection of cured meats, cheeses,

crackers, and various accompaniments like fruit, nuts and / or olives.

I selected some salami and cubed Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese,

skewered with these colorful Wooden Food Picks Skewers.

I also added some grapes, blackberries and assortment of favorite crackers to the teacups.

If you have a Trader Joe’s near you, we love both their Fig & Olive Crisps and Raisin Rosemary Crisps. . .

they’re similar to Raincoast Crisps, but smaller (and more affordable!) with a great crunchy texture.

I started by adding Smokehouse Almonds to the bottom of the cups for the end of the skewers to rest and provide some structure and support for the other charcuterie items. Grapes were draped over the sides of the cups next, with crackers and cheese sticks providing some height.

John Wm. Macy – Melting Parmesan CheeseSticks are a cross between a cheese straw and bread stick. They’re a tasty accompaniment to charcuterie, but are fragile and don’t ship well according to the reviews on Amazon. I found mine at Publix, along with La Panzanella Artisan Crackers.

I added butterfly-shaped Pepperidge Farm Golden Butter Crackers too. . .

also fun for butterfly-themed charcuterie! 🦋

I tucked sprig of lavender in the teacups for a pretty floral touch.

Help yourself to a Hibiscus Tea Cocktail, ideal for summertime sipping!

Hibiscus tea pairs with herbal gin.

I used Hendrick’s Gin known of its infusion of cucumber, rose petals, and eleven other botanicals.

Feel free substitute vodka if you prefer.

Optional: I added a splash of St. Elder Natural Elderflower Liqueur, with adds notes of sweet citrus and floral honey.

Ingredients for Hibiscus Tea Cocktail ©homeiswheretheboatis.net

Method:

🌺 Brew 1 cup of hibiscus tea and chill completely.

🌺 In a cocktail shaker, combine tea, 1 1/2 oz. gin, and 1/2 oz. Elderflower Liqueur with ice; shake until cold. Pour into coupe or martini glass.

🌺 If you prefer a sweeter cocktail, add a touch of honey, agave nectar or simple syrup to taste.

🌺 Alternatively, pour into a tall glass over ice and top with sparkling water.

🌺 Garnish with lemon wheel.

Good morning, Mary. I love your pretty teacups serving up CharcuTearie! I always enjoy grazing from a charcuterie board, but your teacup version is charming. Adding a sprig of lavender is perfect for your tea table. Iced hibiscus tea looks delicious for these hot July days. Iced tea is a simple pleasure anytime, but especially during our Southern summers!

As always, your presentation and creativity is magazine worthy. It is a joy to share tea with you. Happy Tuesday and stay cool 💕

You are so creative! I like the idea of using my slices of wood to add texture to the refreshment area of pre meal bites!

Good morning, Mary! Your charcuterie teacups are a splendid idea! I agree…it is just too hot to turn the oven on! You have such a pretty collection of teacups. That is something I have a weakness for. Both the hibiscus tea and cocktail sound wonderful on a warm summer’s day. Everything looks beautiful! Thank you so much for inviting me to join Pam and you for tea. It was so much fun and brightened my week! Enjoy your day and stay cool, sweet friend!

Good Morning, Mary. What a lovely way to have your very own charcuterie treat in a teacup! They put the Cute into charCUTErie.
I enjoy your collection of teas and teacups. I, too, have a love for them.
That cocktail sounds delightful. What a lovely drink to have on a hot evening. Oh, and those lemon slices are darling!
Thank you so much for your lovely inspiration this morning.
    Stay cool and Happy Tuesday!

Mary, this is such a great idea! It is steamy hot here and your tea cup charcuterie would be a perfect treat. The cocktail recipe sounds delicious too! So many lovely ideas, as always!! Will be ordering the tea and the cute wooden food picks.
    Thank you!!

Oh Mary! You have the most creative ideas! How cute is that! I LOVE it and such a nice portion control, but it’s so tasty, I would probably want a second cup! (Lol).
      Thank you!

This is such a cute idea, Mary. My mother had a wonderful collection of tea cups, but after she passed away, I let them go. I’m sorry now that I did, but I was so overwhelmed with everything that I wasn’t thinking straight. I do have a nice collection of tea cups of my own, and I think this would be a darling idea for the fall.

Good morning, Mary! Your charcuterie teacups are adorable! I have done individual charcuterie containers and the sky is the limit but your teacups are charming. And I agree…it is just too hot to turn the oven on! You always inspire us and your hibiscus tea sounds delish. Stay cool and inside…we are supposed to have cooler weather today here in Florida, due to the tropical storm…don’t know which is the lesser of the two evils. LOL

  9. July 15, 2025 at 3:10 pm

Your charcuTEArie turned out so darling, Mary! I had decided to do this exact thing for my Bible study group but I’m going to have everyone participate by bringing a favorite thing to add to the teacups. We can build our own and I’ll provide the teacups, scones and iced tea. The hibiscus one sounds so good. Thank you for sharing how cute they are! 🥰

Such a cute idea Mary, charcuTEArie! The way you styled the little bites in the pretty teacups makes them look so inviting. What fun for any type of ladies gathering, and much easier than baking a lot of treats 😂 Please pour me a Hibiscus Cocktail, sounds perfect for these hot summer days 💕

I love the idea of individual charcuteries in a cup! They are adorable! The lemon slices are pretty too! You gave me several good ideas for upgraded snacks for my husband and I. It’s so hot, sometimes you just want something light to snack on. Thanks! Clara❤️

Brilliant ❤️I would love to do a ladies cocktail hour or wedding shower like this.
A Sip and See for a new baby would be sweet too.

Such a sweet idea – love the creatively!

Mary, I apologize I’m tardy to your tea party, but I’m here for the CharcuTEArie! What a clever idea! When we had out sailboat, I was know for serving picnic food on the boat using skews. My family still talks about how “fancy” my little picnics were. Funny what others remember about certain occasions. And now I need to find myself a citrus peeler. What a fun touch for serving lemon slices.
Thanks for having us to a beautiful teatime.

I am so late to the party, but I’d love the Hibiscus cocktail or tea and charcuterie cup. This is how I like to eat, especially in summertime – sort of like a hummingbird, just grazing all day. Seriously, that gin sounds like a really nice combination of flavors. Thanks for the recipe.
