Patriotism

“You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4th, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.”  ~Erma Bombeck

However you celebrate your July 4th . . .

 on the water. . .

 Just Chillin’. . .

 camping. . .

 or enjoying a quiet day . . .

. . .remember those who fought for our freedom.

Such a great collection of flag photos….I wish I’d thought of doing that! Its really impressive, especially the fact that you captured a torn & tattered one, too.

Loved your weather vanes & your shell post with the blue glasses, too. I should get some but storage of stemware is at a premium.

Have a Happy 4th of July!
