Oh Mary, your little cabin stewards all dressed up are darling. The JE’TAIME brut rose is too perfect. How I wish I could get to World Market by Thursday ( 80 miles away) but that can’t happen. Je t’aime is a special word for us. We love France and that would be such a special surprise and just right but I’ll save your find for another time. I am loving your LOVE BOAT ride and all the goodies in your basket. Keats and chocolate so just right too!

  2. February 13, 2013 at 6:31 am

We have not had a break in the rain. It has rained Sunday-Today and lots of it. The adjoining county has flooding. I think we have gotten over 10 inches at my house. I have emptied my rain gauge twice so enjoy the clear skies. We needed the rain for average rainfall numbers but I am sorry for all the roads and bridges washed out.

Good help is hard to find Mary! Looks like you had a beautiful day, I assure you when I was a boat person our “cruises” never looked like this! Happy Valentine’s Day-enjoy:@)

  4. February 13, 2013 at 7:13 am

Oh how I love your Stewards. They just couldn’t get any cuter. Love your picnic aboard the Love Boat also. And you can tell your hubby, he takes a very nice picture and not to be shy! Thanks for sharing your wonderful outing!
    xoxo Kathi

  5. February 13, 2013 at 7:45 am

Wonderful! I know your stewards were disappointed that Honor did not win Top Dog. Perhaps they just need some to adjust and they’ll be back to taking good care of the ship! :D :D Whatever would we do without World Market? I’m afraid I’ve been staying away — I spend too much $$ when I visit them. Happy Valentine’s Day!

  6. February 13, 2013 at 7:52 am

Oh how I LOVE this post! I keep going back to look at the photos of the picnic basket and your cheese tray…love the “charger”. Of course the cabin stewards are the sweetest in their “uniforms”. Thanks for a perfect Valentine’s Day cruise…now I’m headed to World Market. :)

  7. February 13, 2013 at 8:09 am

So fun. Looks scrumptious and sounds like a good time was had by all!

  8. February 13, 2013 at 8:27 am

Awh, how fun! What a neat way to display the food on the life ring! We had a beautiful (Bennington) pontoon some years ago. I know how nice they are to cruise around on. Your dogs look rather sporting in their attire and your captain does too!
Back in the 70’s I bought a T-shirt with the words scrolled on it- Je T’aime but didnt’ even know what it said! A visititing friend saw it on me and read it out loud… “I love You”… and I thanked him- now I know what it means! (Remember we didn’t have the internet to run to back then!) I’m glad someone was educated! LOL…

Lucky for you to have a break in the weather. So happy to see you’re enjoying it to the fullest!

what a lovely pictorial – i look forward to your posts because they always put a smile on my face! funny that you should mention that the captain didn’t want his photo taken – the first mate didn’t have hers taken at all! ;-)

  18. February 13, 2013 at 9:51 am

Well, the Captain is handsome but the STEWARDS steal my heart!!! They look so Jaunty in their boating attire!!! I would certainly forgive them for sleeping on the job:):) This so reminds me of taking Joe’s Dad out on his pontoon with the 3 dogs who couldn’t get on the boat fast enough. I would LOVE to have a place where we could also have a pontoon. Have a VERY happy Valentine’s day with the captain!!!! How I LONG for a World Market!!!!!!!! XO, Pinky

  19. February 13, 2013 at 9:59 am

Looks like so much fun, Mary! I am ready for dining outdoors, by the water or on the back porch.

    I love those dishes!

  23. February 13, 2013 at 10:43 am

How have I missed seeing that cool “Skylar Floral” pattern?!?!??!! What a great mix! I’m so glad you got a break in the weather so that you could enjoy a nice afternoon on the water with your affable crew…even the 2 lazy ones! :-) Your champagne flutes remind me of a very happy time. I love that sleek, sculpted look. Those Chocolove candies are pretty neat with the poem inside. Great marketing tactic by that company!!! Beautiful post, Mary!

  24. February 13, 2013 at 10:57 am

Fun! I’ve got to get to World Market, I love that champagne, adorable. Happy V day!

  26. February 13, 2013 at 11:11 am

Mary, I can’t tell ya how jealous I am….blue skies, you lucky duck! It’s so cold and {still} raining here. Our Crest is in storage, and I want to go for a boat ride soooooo badly. This is such a pretty post, and I now y’all had such a nice and romantic boat ride.

We won’t be going back to the lake for at least three more weeks, then I know we’ll go back for Easter weekend and the official opening of our church for the season. YAY!

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

What an ideal way to take advantage of unseasonal mid-February weather! The captain and crew look everso efficient, however, where’s a picture of the all important First Mate?!!! Happy Valentine’s Day!

  34. February 13, 2013 at 4:37 pm

A cruise on the Love Boat with its handsome captain and adorable cabin stewards seems like the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, even if you had to do it a few days in advance!

  35. February 13, 2013 at 5:27 pm

That, my friend, is THE LIFE.

  36. February 13, 2013 at 6:40 pm

Your captain is one lucky guy to have you prepare all those treats. The cabin stewards are too cute for words. You always find the most fun treats, Mary. Happy ❤ Day!

  40. February 13, 2013 at 8:45 pm

Hi Mary, I love those dishes and if I ever see them again they will definitely come home with me! Can’t think why Santa didn’t leave some here, too. Your handsome Captain must be happy to have those goodies for nibbling on while his first mate reads love poems to him. I wonder if Chloe and Gracie have a few bites too? They are just adorable in their little uniforms. I can’t imagine going out on a boat right now–it’s snowing again!

  41. February 13, 2013 at 9:04 pm

Mary, I love your two cabin stewards and their darling outfits! How cute are they… and beautifully groomed!
I would love to be on a boat in February… with all those lovely dishes and fun goodies. Your cheese tray has my name on it… YUMMY! Did your tip your girls with a little snack too?
As usual I leave so inspired and happy to be a faithful follower!
Happy Valentine’s Day, my friend! xo

Beautiful post! Chloe and Gracie are so cute in their little outfits!

  48. February 14, 2013 at 10:39 am

Yes, your little cabin stewards really take the cake (or at least I suspect they would given half a chance!). The champagne and roses are so beautiful.
But it is the plates I can’t get out of my head. I’ve been back to this post twice, and fussed around searching the internet to find some I could buy…. No luck, but I will add it to things I am searching for!

  49. February 14, 2013 at 12:09 pm

I love your pup’s little sweaters!
Happy Valentine’s Day to you and the pups!

  50. February 14, 2013 at 2:16 pm

Oh good, you were able to get out on the boat. We are counting the days until we get back to Maine and put ours in the water. My dog is much like your hubby and doesn’t like to have her picture taken, not at all like your cuties.

  51. February 14, 2013 at 4:51 pm

Aww, what a romantic cruise ♥ Love the crew and their uniforms. 50’s sounds pretty good right now! Happy Valentine’s Day, Mary!

  52. February 14, 2013 at 9:00 pm

We sold our lake house a number of years ago, but I always loved the winter times there, maybe even more than the summer times. Love the plaids on board…especially on the crew. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Happy Valentine’s Day! Cherry Kay

I love your beautiful plates, all the plaid, and that wonderful picnic basket. Your hydrangeas and camellias look lovely, too. This looks like the perfect romantic weekend.
