We had brief snow shower late yesterday~
I reached for my camera since our snowfalls
tend to be the ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ variety :)
So pretty to watch falling
and a welcome sight for us,
since it’s a rare occurrence~

warm & cozy, wherever you are!
Now that I have my snow fix,
I’m ready for spring!

Thank you for the beautiful pictures,I live in South Georgia now and we don’t get much snow,we run to the north Georgia mountains when we can so my husband can enjoy what he calls Gods country,we raised our girls in Columbia South Carolina so we did get to enjoy the snow,hope to retire some place other than South Georgia we will see thank you again love your web site,and its so true here today,gone tomorrow Linda

There is something so peaceful about falling snow. We live in Central illinois but we haven’t had much snow this year.. I’ve missed those quiet, beautiful days. Your pictures are wonderful!

Beautiful snow, Mary. Sort of like the surprise snow we had a couple of weeks ago. Arrived and left in a hurry but we enjoyed, just the same.
We’ve planned a getaway for next month, in southwest Missouri. Sort of off the beaten path. We could get snowed in, because we have had some big snows in March. Nice place to be snowed in though.:-)
Don’t you love the wonderland no matter how brief? There’s something magical about a snow covered landscape.
So pretty! We had big snowflakes yesterday, too, but only for about ten or fifteen minutes. I love to watch snow falling….

Hi Mary, I’m so happy you had your touch of snow! Those are the perfect flakes–huge and wet– they make everything pretty and then melt away. We have had enough up here but are awaiting another blast. I can usually tell if the predictions are correct because the birds gather in huge numbers around the feeders before the snow arrives. Enjoy your snow and stay warm! It’s a good time to read the seed catalogs! Linda

Mary, it is beautiful, but have to say I wouldn’t welcome a snowfall now. As of yesterday the roses and other shrubs were pruned back, feed, and waiting for spring. I’d be scrambling to cover everything in my garden if we had a surprise snow. ‘-)
Planted pots of geraniums yesterday too. Like you, I’m ready for spring!

Beautiful photos! We had the same storm go through south of you and ended up with a winter wonderland in only moments! The snow started so suddenly, came down so quickly, and the snowflakes were so large, kids were making snowmen in 45 minutes! A blast of blizzard and then just as quickly gone again. Nothing’s left today except what the kids made, but we have photos of that sparkling white snow and a gorgeous sunset over the lake as the storm clouds rolled through! It made for a memorable birthday. Thanks for capturing it so well!
Beautiful snow and beautiful photos…I love to see snow falling but I am so glad I don’t live anywhere near it falling… ;-) When I lived in SC I experienced a couple of huge ones…Glad I don’t have to anymore!
Your pictures are so pretty. It looks like you had a nice gentle snow. Yesterday we had “lake effect” snow. Moments of lots of snow and blowing followed by sunshine that melted it all. I am ready to be done with snow in Ohio!

We got several inches of snow here in Florence, SC.
We had snow here, too, and I got so darn excited! Took some pics this morning when I woke to a winter wonderland. Your first photo is stunning with the shot of the birdhouse and pier in the falling snow.

We never get snow in So CA, although a couple weeks ago we did get hail and they predicting hail for tonight – cold snap coming though. I was ready for spring – had speing fever.
