I enjoy putting a centerpiece for a table together,
especially if it’s easy, casual,
and includes a little of nature’s bounty!
For my Pfaltzgraff Plymouth Dinnerware table, I gathered
pumpkins, leaves, apples, nuts, and mums.
I started with a Better Homes and Gardens
Wire Pumpkin Tealight Holder
I harvested at Walmart a couple of weeks ago for $9.96!
I built my centerpiece on a board, but you could use a tray, shallow basket, or dough bowl. I added a couple of grapevine wreaths to stack, for some elevation for the tealight holder to sit on, and to give the centerpiece some height.
I used a combination of real and faux, since pumpkins and gourds weren’t available when I was working on this table.
Apples, acorn squash, nuts, and mums were harvested from the grocery store. I added fall leaves from artificial floral stems, since our leaves won’t turn here until the end of October.
A bowl in the center of the tealight
holder is filled with nuts and squash.
And mugs were used as vases
to hold mums at the table.
This is just beautiful! You did such a wonderful job! I love it!
You should be a stylist. You do such beautiful work. I love ho you thought to put the candle holder on a cutting board. Brilliant! Wish I could take lessons!
You should be writing for HGTV!

Mary, I love your centerpiece and can’t wait to see the shed dressed for fall.
Walmart, huhn? After your readers see your tea light pumpkin, I’m betting there will be a run on them. I’m on my way!
Lovin’ your seasonal centerpiece Mary! I really like the idea of adding a bowl of goodies to the middle of the pumpkin candle holder:@)
Hah! I “harvest” at Walmart, Target, Home Goods, etc. too! franki
I am with Franki, I laughed out loud when you said “harvested at Walmart”…..beautiful table!
The grapevine wreaths are such a perfect base for your wire pumpkin~it all looks so natural, like the leaves sort of drifted down and the nuts accumulated in the bowl. You have such a talent for making things look effortless, even though they are carefully planned~I can’t wait to see the eye candy tomorrow!
Jenna
your pumpkin is adorable lighting the way for all the fun. we are twins i always harvest from the garden too, its just so nice to use whatever abunbdance you can find hanging around season after season~
You make it look so easy, Mary! Your centerpiece is just beautiful and what a deal on the pumpkin tea light holder from Wal Mart. Love it! xo
Beautiful centerpiece! I’m eager to see the shed in its fall decor. ;-)
Love this casual centerpiece Mary. Can’t wait to see the shed all done up for Fall!
Wonderful! I think your flatware in the pitcher looks like a turkey with his feathers. Maybe a future idea for November. Jennifer
Mary, your center piece is lovely. Everything on your table scape works so well together. Looking forward to seeing your potting shed all dolled up.
Stop by and see my fall luncheon table with my rooster dishes.

Great fall centerpiece….I love it!
So pretty and creative! I saw this centerpiece at W-Mart also…should have snagged one.
Oh I will definitely be back to see the shed all dressed up! Love your centerpiece and how you always put them together so beautifully!
I love that you gave a step by step! I just noticed a fabulous arrangement at first sight so it was fun to see how you built it up and kept making it more luxurious with each addition. You have such amazing talent.
Wonderful design. I love using grapevine wreaths to accent things. That tea light pumpkin holder is really nice.
I am also looking forward to seeing what you do with the potting shed. Maybe we will see the reveal real soon? I love this center piece. Very nicely done. I like the grapevine wreath around the metal frame pumpkin. I looked for shelled nuts at the grocery store tonight for a tablescape. They don’t have any in right now. I hope I can find some fake ones to use.
Gorgeous table and centerpiece! I have a new weekly link party which is live now and I would love if you stop by and link up this wonderful post! Hope to see you there! http://mariaelenasdecor.blogspot.com/ Hugs, Maria
