The stepping stones look like slate. It will be a time-consuming project but do you think (and I know you are creative) that you could print/stencil the wording on and seal it with a heavy duty sealer?
Now, that is just too bad that the company that made the stepping stones is out of business. They would probably receive beaucoup orders after everyone saw your post!
I love your potting shed! So much inspiration in this post. I have great hopes for turning our old smokehouse into a picture-pretty shed even though the big generator has to stay there–and it’s the home of our half-lab/half pyrenees.

Where did you find the stepping stones with the quote from Hans Christian Anderson?
They came from a company that did custom quotes/words on pavers or stones about 15 years ago that is no longer in business :(

They’re stone slabs that were engraved. You probably could stencil & seal a flat surface stone or slate with a phrase or message :)
