Grandiflora~ A Celebration of Blooms at the Table

I have tablescapes languishing deep in the archives~ I thought I’d revisit and share one a month~

This table is from April 2011, the salad plates are still some of my  favorite blooming dishes and the quilt is one I’ve used most recently for Easter with a runner.

I hope you enjoy revisiting a celebration of blooms at the table!

I picked a bouquet of flowers from Pottery Barn

to bring the garden to the table~

I can enjoy Magnolia blossoms

now instead of June. . .

My Bridal Wreath Spirea is at the table

woven around the handle of a watering can~

Ready to sprinkle on the delicate

fields of flowers sprouting on my quilt~

Tulips are blooming. . .

Hydrangeas are flowering. . .

And the Harbinger of Spring, Daffodils,

have arrived in the form of a platter & plate,

used most recently to Spring Forward.

A few visitors have arrived

from the garden. . .

Moving at a snail’s pace,

in the form of napkin rings~

 And buzzing around the flatware~

How Lovely! The flower plates are so pretty, but I’m sure PB no longer has them!!?! I too have the Bee flatware, but just the other day I polished all my sterling silver (that was my moms) and decided to use them everyday, because everyday is a special day!
    Enjoy your day,
    Paula

I’m so glad you shared it again, it is such a great table for this blooming time of year! The plates are gorgeous, love the flatware and watering can wrapped with flowers and all the little details. You have such a way with blankets and quilts on your tables~I have tried that and mine always seem to look like I just took them off a bed! Ha!

I remember this because I recall how gaga I was over the dishes!!!!! Beautiful! I also love the spirea. I don’t think I had ever seen it in white before, so it really intrigued me. It’s so pretty…like snow or cotton or stars. Thanks for re-sharing! :-)

For relatively new followers, this is a first-time post for us. The spirea wrapped around the handle of the watering can and the floral salad plates are stunning! Your tablescapes always inspire me and set me to thinking about to create similar ones.

The plates are just stunning! Your bridal wreath is so lovely. We are just having daffodils and tulips begin to open. This table is so perfect – getting me excited about summer. I haven’t done a table in so long – just running faster than I have been able to! It was really fun to take the time and put one together.

No matter how many times you share a table, it always seems fresh and new.

I love everything about this tablescape, probably most especially the spirea. I have lots of pink spirea in my yard, it just thrives here. Now I want some of the white as well. The plates and the quilt are beautiful, and you have accented with so many lovely touches.

I may have seen this before, Mary, but I’m glad you’re sharing it again. Don’t you just love those blooming plates?? The birdie under the cloche is adorable and I love the snails. I don’t see spirea here in Texas, but I remember it from Ohio. It looks perfect in the wagering can.
