Patriotic Peeps

It’s not a holiday

without your Peeps!

 I found Patriotic Peeps Chicks,

speckled with red and blue sugar flecks,

proudly waving the flag on packages

 at Cracker Barrel.

It seemed like the perfect excuse to celebrate

with a flag formation of

Red, White & Blue candy for July 4th!

Or exercise your Freedom and Independence

and use them to top a brownie bite,

a swizzle stick, candy skewer. . .

I found Patriotic Pull ‘n’ Peel

Twizzlers at Walmart.

Pull the strands apart and layer to build a nest

in cupcake liners for easy serving.

An easy Red, White & Blue treat for

kids or the young at heart for July 4th!

Your title made me smile even before I clicked over Mary:@) My ShopRite has the Twizzlers but I haven’t seen the patriotic peeps-love ’em! The bunting on the package is just too great! I’m sure you’re gearing up for a big weekend on the lake-enjoy:@)

Never knew these items were out there; will have to check my Harris Teeter for them. Wonder if the licorice strings are Sugar Free?

OMGosh, these are too stinkin’ cute for words, Mary!! How very creative of you to make a “nest” for them out of licorice strands. I did not know EITHER of these products existed. You always come up with the BEST finds…thanks!!!!! The grandkidlets will just love these!

Mary, every time I see Peeps I think of you. This is an adorable idea. Pinning this one! Also sharing with my sister and friends with grands.

    Fun post!
Yellow Peeps chicks are still my favorite…although I will make the sacrifice and eat other colors and bunnies too if no yellow chicks are available…

Great ideas & presentation. Red, white & blue M&M’s?…where? Thanks!

They’re milk chocolate candies from Party City, not M&M’s but taste the same. Available in lots of colors :)

Patriotic Peeps in a red white and blue Twizzler’s nest! What could be better! Or easier!! Too adorable Mary, you know I consider you the Peeps Queen! I love the faux M&M flag and thanks for the reminder, Party City is a great source for colored candy props~the Targets around here stopped selling the jelly bellies by color and I miss that!
