Hi Mary, a real freeze here in Hoosierland. I’ll be pulling the remainder of my annuals and putting away the bird baths that freeze..but our Fall has been absolutely beautiful!! Our weather will be back in the 70s by the end of the week but probably for short period of time. I see you are waiting for your color a frost or freeze should help that along as you probably know. Have a great day and enjoy your water!! And, the two puppies!!! 🌾🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁💨💨💨
Your pics sure look like October Mary! It’s 34 degrees here right now, the sweatshirts are out and I’ve even heard the heater kick on a couple times… Happy Sunday:@)
Happy Sunday, happy smiles……..LOVE the girls in their fall sweaters! glad to see the leaves haven’t turned too much, I’m hoping they are full when we come down the end of the month! Warm hugs!
Good morning from beautiful Iowa where we have seas of corn and soybeans, your pictures are beautiful this morning. I love the mist on the lake like that, it is so quite and serene. Thank you for sharing.
A Michigan good morning on this bright, cold Sunday. Fall is definitely in the air. Your misty lake is simply magical and sweatered pups adorable on their vintage tartan blanket. As always your blog filled all of us with joy. May you have an autumnal week full of Grace.
Cool mornings here in Tampa! Warm days! Looking for some cool days. No, not cold but cool! Your pictures are beautiful and the girls look cozy! Happy Sunday and have a great week.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful lake views! Would love to “chair sit” this morning with a mug of hot tea and enjoy the serenity. Happy Sunday and high five paws to Chloe and Gracie so cute in their sweaters!
How I wish Sadie and I were snuggled up in sweaters, but TX isn’t there just yet. Your morning lake views are feeding my soul, Mary. Looking out to serene water views are the best! Love the cute sweaters the girls are wearing. ;-)
Happy Sunday in NC……..Sarah and Sadie
We have had two freezes here in Chicagoland, and my house of full of white bagged houseplants that were outside. Garden is done…many flowers are dead…part of the cycle of life. Enjoy your reprieve…and Fall. Lovely post, nice to see the lake looking like a lake., Sandi
Mary, Hurray for sweater weather! I’m so happy to see your lake full and the girls in their adorable outfits. Leaves in very northern New England are past peak now, with lower VT and MA peaking, and I think southern CT will come in mid week, just in time for a nice bday present for me! I will be spending some time this week chair sitting and catching up on your lovely posts. These photos of your lake are so amazing. Have a wonderful day! Linda
Beautiful pictures Mary! I am envious of the cooler temperatures you are experiencing! Here in Southern California it has been hot and uncharacteristicly humid, with humidity levels at 80 to 90 percent…yuck! I am really looking forward to cooler temperatures, but in the mean time I can relax and live vicariously through your lovely pictures!
Was 25 degrees this morning so we finally had out first frost. We missed out on the cool temperatures Saturday morning because we had lake effect clouds from Lake Michigan. Started harvest yesterday so was in the kitchen most of the day cooking for the family, our daughter-in-law offered to do the cooking today. The lake looks calm and serene, something I know I would enjoy once harvest is over. The girls look like they are enjoying the cooler weather too.
…sigh….95 degrees here. I am SO over summer. Our leaves are yellow alright….yello dead from heat and drought. No rain in 2 1/2 months. Oh how I would love to see a gradual season change other than summer. … Bam….winter.
I’m sure we’ll still have air conditioner running in november😳
Your lake scene is beautiful!
